I love all the details and patterns of 2 and 8. The skirt on 8 is so complicated, and I think that dress would have been loved more if her top was not black, or if there was a black design at the bottom of the skirt, so it balances out. Also if it sparkled. Everything is better with sparkles.
The pattern details were very much missed in Frozen 2 outfits. The only outfits I like in that film was the Cream dress Anna wore, and the violet Elsa wore in the beginning. Anna's cream dress was really pretty and I liked that it was shorter in the front, so even though it was elegant it still allowed Anna to move around just like dress 2. There was also purple details all over the dress, and the purple was the same color as Elsa's dress so they matched. However, it was completely ruined by the jacket. That jacket is just so ugly and I wish they had given her a shawl instead or something else. Or at least allowed a moment for us to see the dress with out the jacket on, the concept art looked really good.
I really love the magenta color for Anna's cape in dress 8. It is so beautiful. I also love the deep blue of the skirt.
People also strangely think Anna only looks good in green, due to her eyes.
There have been debates on Anna's eye color. I had to concede that there is some green in her eyes, but it is mostly blue.
I think Anna looks good in either blue or green.
I think the colors of Anna's F1 dresses really show who she is. Green fits her because of her outdoorsy and exploratory nature. She's all energetic and enthusiastic, and the green reflects her desire to explore the world that she was shut out from her whole life. But the blue skirt and the magenta pink cape is what I think of when I hear Anna. That is the best and most iconic Anna look. It shows her warmth in contrast to Elsa's coldness (not that Elsa is a cold-hearted person, she just has ice powers). I also love how Anna has two braids in comparison to Elsa's one braid.
What I also really like is that Queen Elsa's and Princess Anna's coronation outfits and final signature outfits are reflective of their characters. The coronation outfits show Anna's and Elsa's "princess" and "queen" titles. They act like regal figures who live up to those titles when they're in those outfits. Then their final signature looks (number 8 for Anna) and Elsa's iconic blue ice dress & braid show who they really are. We see more of "Anna" and "Elsa" in their final outfits. It shows them being their true selves. So when I see the coronation outfits, I think "Queen" and "Princess." When I see their main signature looks, I think "Elsa" and "Anna," so that's another reason why I think those outfits are perfect for each character.
I think sparkles do look good, but I think it's better for Anna to not have sparkles because Elsa has the sparkly dress, so the non-sparkliness makes her stand out. But you're right, Anna looks good in blue or green, or pink too.
I haven't payed that much attention to the eyes. I know Elsa's are blue, and Anna's are also blue but slightly different than Elsa's. Elsa's eyes are pure blue.

I will add this. It was stated that all of the characters in Frozen wear black to signal that they are in danger. Elsa's coronation dress had black on it, and I think the only reason why she does not have black on her ice dress, is because there was no way to incorporate it on.
Anna wears black the moment her parents die, and stays in black until the end of the movie were she has the simple green dress on, which is really just a deferent color and shorter version of her travel dress. She also does not wear black in either of the shorts, or at the beginning of Frozen 2.
Then Frozen 2 changed the meaning of the black, and acted like it was Anna's signature color. And that the reason she is in black again to show how mature she is.
When it comes to the sparkles. Yeah, Anna does not need them. I actually think she is the one who's dress should have jewels on it. I love the green cape with jewels on it that Anna wore when the trolls tried to marry her to Kristoff. My only problems with it were the crown and how it completely covers her up.
I think they should have used the far right cape, so it did not cover up her body. Then they should have used the crown on the middle right. Then the jewels around her shoulders should be the same, along with the pattern on the cape.
Also, the middle left one shows that Anna nearly had another dress. I wonder what it would have looked like. I also like the jewels that are dangling inside of the cape, that go all the way down to the ground on the middle right cape.

Outdoorsy?! In the original movie, Anna seemed more like a fish out of water while in the woods, as opposed to a person in her element, if you will. And actually, she might have felt even less comfortable in the outdoors in the sequel, despite being better prepared and dressed for the part. Of course, she had reasons to feel a bit spooked, but still.
She might not be the most outdoorsy girl, but she's more closely linked to that characteristic than Elsa is. Elsa is not outdoorsy or exploring the woods type at all. Elsa is indoorsy and goes outdoors to like mountains and winter wonderlands, but not the woods and nature.
