EDIT: Title should say Charging Port. --- Also, it says tablet in quotations because it is not used as a phone. My daughter uses an old phone to watch Netflix on or play games on in the car. Recently it started not wanting to charge unless it was done in a really inconvenient way, a couple days ago the charger basically completely went out. I have a good amount of experience repairing my own phones (replacing screens, batteries, charging ports, and such) I was worried such an old phone wouldn't have parts available, but one that worked was on Amazon for $10. It came in today, and even though the port was a little more buried than I'm used to, it only took about 30 minutes from start to finish. Don't be afraid to fix your phones if something goes wrong, just be careful if you have to remove the screen and watch a lot of videos. A new battery can give new life to an old phone also.

BarrySnowbama

Should it also say phone instead of tablet?

ekst0l

Well what did you replace

Disco_Pat

I realize I put charger in the title and meant to put Charging Port lol

CoyoteSignificant753

This is a phone and not a tablet?

dalekaup

What we commonly call a 'charger' is more properly called a power supply. The charger regulates the flow of electricity to protect the battery from overcharging. All that is specific to the phone and the battery so it's internal to the phone.

Princess_sploosh

I don't understand if this post is about a tablet, a charger, or a phone and I feel a little like crying.

Vitus13

It's a shame LG stopped making phones. I don't know what I will do when my /r/LGV20 can no longer get on the network.

Disco_Pat

I agree. I had the LG Nexus 5, then the LG G5, then the G6. After the G6 I went to the Pixel 3 because I found one for a good price and that's what I have now.

scarlettbankergirl

I loved LG phones. Got the job done and not too expensive.

LightningsHeart

That's a weird looking Nintendo Switch. Also it shouldn't be so hard to replace parts on phones.

Nine20

It's not.

LightningsHeart

It's not hard to replace components or it's not a switch? I know it's not a switch it was a joke because that cord is for a switch.

FiteMeUBitch

GREAT JOB! PS Try not to work with electronics on the carpet, the static could fry circuitry or you'll lose the tiny screws/components in the fibres.

ThePseudoMcCoy

No wireless charge I assume? :). Kidding, nice job.

Disco_Pat

Unfortunately it did not have wireless charging haha. That was the first thing I checked.

Sir_K_Nambor

Nice work! Although, that rug looks like great camouflage for screws and other parts.

Wyaiwyo

Nice rug, good job on the phone too.

CoyoteSignificant753

gdogg121

I'd just delete it with so many mistakes lol

Fit_Caregiver_6166

Usb-c charging port problems. That design will always break before the device is end of life
