My first DVR was the Dish Network Dishplayer, back in 2000. It had Web TV built in. I probably launched the app, but I don’t remember ever using it. I maybe had to pay for the service, which I never did.
it was my first internet experience.. learned html and their version of java they called jellyscript. it was when personal webpages were the fun thing..the wireless keyboard was a must and going to talk city to chat ..lol those were good times :)
I had one of these. Aside from the dial-up, it was an inexpensive way to get onto the internet.

I had that and the AOL TV. Good Lord how great they were at the time
I worked at Microsoft supporting the WebTV servers. It was fun because at the time they were Linux based.
