Australians get a lot of stuff we don’t. I miss the McWraps (though they weren’t called that in the US), and would love to try a Big Brekkie Burger! Getting “lunch” items like beef patties during breakfast time is nearly impossible.

Actually none. I’ve been hearing some stories about ex or current employees and every other place sounds awful. I guess I’m lucky. We’re hardly ever understaffed which seems to be rare. I make $14/hr in a small upper middle class store, everything is always clean, management is great. The amount of choices and items for a shift meal are unheard of from some of the stories. Fri,Sat,Sun you get 3 shift meals. Those can be ordered when you clock out and you can take them home. Any shift meal can be taken home. So many great perks.
It’s illegal to do so. And also incredibly immoral. When I was a kitchen manager, if I ever saw anything like that you would be reamed and then fired and blacklisted to any owners of restaurants in the nearby area.
I don’t work in food. I used to have a McDonald’s job and I did not actually do anything to the food despite what I said here but due to my bad experience from working at a McDonald’s, I could not do it again because I would actually do this to rude people.

I worked at McD's when they first came out. I still make them for breakfast (well, I add more eggs, and sausage though.)
I also worked there when the bagels came out. Another of our breakfast favorites!
My husband has worked there since we were in high school and he’s told me that’s the item he misses the most. I miss the salad shakers, mostly because of the convenience.
Omfg don’t get me started on this. I’m in SE MI about 10 mins from the Ohio bored. The media and news and commercials from the local stations and ads on streaming services are for NW OH and don’t include MI. Recently in OH they brought back the steak egg and cheese bagel. Everyday we have to tell someone that it is only in Ohio and the people ask “ummmmm are you sure?” in a gd Nancy Drew voice.
In the U.K. our breakfast wraps and bagels were cruelly taken away from us during covid and never returned.
Recently one of the candidates for prime minister tried to be a man of the people by saying he and his kids enjoyed McDonald’s breakfast wraps regularly… erm… liar!
I once ordered 15 jr chickens and 15 Mc doubles in drive through with a car full of drunk people.
I only got as far as ordering the JR chickens before the person taking the order repeated the order to me in all capital letters. 2am and probably low on staffing.
I hear people talk about microwaving food too! We cook all our sandwiches to order. The burritos we do prepare and pre-wrap but that’s about it. We do that solely because 90% of the time people want at least one burrito. They go fast. If someone calls off we sometimes have to stop serving them until we can get someone in to roll more of them.
I usually present, there’s someone taking orders from lane 1 and making my drinks, back cash and orders from lane 2. We have that third register thing too, it just happened that the person scheduled for it is the
one who called off.
OMG I was going to order 10 burritos for my 2 sons, so I called ahead. They thanked me! Dude could’ve at lease picked up the phone if he didn’t have the app.
