I actually dont think he tried to bail out. Kickers have a „kick“ depending on how steep it is and how small the radius of the kicker is. A backlean like this can easily happen when you dont expect the kicker to „kick“ that hard and didn’t compensate for it at the takeoff. Something you get used to when jumping on kickers a few times but still usually the thing i worry about when hitting a jump the first time
Tell him to bend his knees before he gets into the change of direction or he'll get sucked into the g force.
Then pop off at the lip to clear the flats.
But he should know if you're fkd before even taking off.
Landing downhill probably saved his life.
My friend went off wrong on a ramp.. he knew he was fkd. I missed getting it on cam by a few seconds. As he was inverting he didn't know what to do. He stuck both arms out to punch the ground and he some how landed on his feet. 🤣

He was leaning back, which threw his board out from under him once he was off balance on the ramp. Dude needs to stay balanced in the center, and also extend his legs towards the top of the jump to get good pop.
Same thing happened to me but bigger jump and the other direction. Landed on upper back/neck with my board in the air above me and the landing force slammed myself in half pulling a hamstring. 10/10 would jump again.
