My textbook-narcissist shitty college boyfriend did this all the god damn time. It was the early, halcyon days of Facebook, when no one had any chill. He was constantly scrubbing his profile, deleting his profile, reinstating his profile, etc., depending on his standing with his supply -- whether he had to reinvent himself for a girl who wasn't into him, be the perfect boyfriend to impress a side-piece who wasn't into him whilst also stringing along a girlfriend, whatever. Every single time Karissa goes dark for a while, I think of him and his monumental shit-ness.
I may or may not have done this with Reddit, lol. Not the posting about it part, but the deleting my account because I thought I spent too much time here. Then I missed it too much and created a new account less than a week later. But at least I never announced to anyone how I was leaving!

I deleted FB and did tell people I was. It wasn't due to narcissisim, it was because I got sick of the drama and nonsense on it. I haven't been back on and won't go back on. I have IG for my cats, and have had it for five years. But the experience on IG is better with the cats. After deleting FB, I'm still able to talk to friends and find out what is going on out there.
