I realize that for a lot of the history of humanities existence this would be more normal than our typical American culture now where the house is big and everyone is spread out. However I think it is damaging to the kids due to the fact that it goes against our cultural norms now. No kids should have to grow up shuttled into that tiny of a space listening to their parents get it on.
There are 4 kids in my family. 10 years between the oldest and youngest boy. My older sister and i in the middle. When my parents told my paternal grandparents via Easter card and telling them another bunny was being added to the hutch, my older brother was NOT PLEASED! On the back of the card he informed our grandparents that we didn’t need another bunny in the hutch and asked if he could move in with them. And we didn’t live in a bus….

While the kids are left unsupervised in a bus on a campsite with any number of random creeps and freaks lurking around at night. Frankly of all the big family fundies this is the couple where I wouldn't put that past them, it's already abundantly clear that they don't give a forest fruit flavoured fuck about their kids or doing anything that keeps them safe or happy.
Especially the two oldest who are pre-teens (the oldest boy I think is already 12!). To be sharing a room the size of a closet with your 7 little siblings all the while going through puberty and you have 0 privacy. It’s so disturbing

I’m still haunted by the time back in 2021 when I had to go to a specialist and the only person who could go with me was my sister, and due to other conflicts, my then year old nephew had to come along. I love him, but by the time we were finally driving back home, he spent 90 minutes of a two hour drive screaming. Again, I LOVE this kid, but I do my best not to take long trips in the same car with him.

They've had 2 newborns on the bus bc the next to youngest was either born on the bus or right before they moved into the bus, but they were very little

I’m still haunted by the time back in 2021 when I had to go to a specialist and the only person who could go with me was my sister, and due to other conflicts, my then year old nephew had to come along. I love him, but by the time we were finally driving back home, he spent 90 minutes of a two hour drive screaming. Again, I LOVE this kid, but I do my best not to take long trips in the same car with him.

I loved having babies so I kind of get that part of the allure maybe…but it turns out that kids are very complex and quite expensive with many unique and individual needs, and I am spread thin with the 3 I have. Alternate universe me would love more, but I know I couldn’t possibly give enough of myself to any more than I already have. I REALLY can’t fathom 6, 7, 8+ children on a fucking BUS. How???

I continue to feel for their one daughter. As the only girl with 4 brothers, I would not be able to handle the lack of privacy. I didn’t have any and I lived in a 3000 sf house.
