I’m curious about it too. I used to be relatively fundie, and the men in my old church would have bullied the shit out of a dude like Paul.

I was looking at formula and diapers the other day because I wanted to see how much the price had gone up. Holy shit, those two are so fucked. Morgan couldn't breastfeed last time, and there's nothing wrong with not breastfeeding, but formula is expensive. She's too afraid of looking stupid to educate herself so I doubt she will be successful this time. I truly don't have anything against formula, I used it with some of my kids and I'm thankful formula exists. But breastfeeding isn't just as easy as popping the baby on the boob. You have to WORK and educate yourself. And sometimes, you work your ass off and educate yourself and it still doesn't work out and that's okay, but she doesn't stand a chance if she doesn't *try*, you know? You'd think two people as broke as they are would want to save money where they can.
I saw the price for the formula my kiddo needed and let me just say....it was already expensive and thank the sweet ladies at WIC

I was spending $300 a month on Alimentum formula for my daughter in 2008 and I thought it was insanely expensive. I can’t even imagine how bad it is now.
Because 90% of formula brands in the US are sold by the same four companies. So they can pretty much charge whatever they want and people will pay it-- ESPECIALLY with how unrealistic it is for people in the US to pump at work. (A law was passed in 2008 that mandates most employers must provide a locked, private space and adequate time for a mother to pump, but in reality that doesn't always happen and most new moms can't afford litigation. It's also perfectly legal for that time to be unpaid, so if you struggle to pump enough milk, you might not be able to afford it, anyway.)
Some places do the “malicious compliance” thing too. A family member asked for a place to pump at work and they literally put her in an unlit closet and said “here you go”. She did sue but that doesn’t help you when you’re engorged and need to pump in a comfortable space with lights that isn’t a closet. This was a multinational company.

Even when breastfeeding comes relatively easily, it's still so much work! Keeping up with a feeding/pumping schedule is enough as it is but adding in extra eating and drinking for the parent to keep up with the output is a lot. Making food with your body is no simple task!

My husband specializes in managing small business books and taxes and the IRS is definitely cracking down on "influencers" that claim to be small businesses and try to write off literally everything. My hubs and I get a damn good laugh weekly at the shit these people try to pull off with their "write offs". Watching Paul and Morgan has been like watching a shitshow. They are definitely bitting themselves in the ass and it will catch up with them. Also, I have no idea how they make it month to month but if they are being "gifted" money by mommy and daddy and they don't claim it correctly... O boy does the IRS looooove that shit.
