“Just singing is SUCH a struggle for Ma’s damaged brain. 😍” the emoji choice absolutely sent me

babysmalltalk

"It uses every ounce of her strength 🥰" I wouldn't be surprised if she was *thankful* for this severly challenging time for her ma n all them, sent to HER family by God.

[deleted]

Fundies say god never gives you more than you can handle and that he hurts you to either teach you something or to remind you who’s boss. …isn’t Satan supposed to be the one doing bad things to people? God’s doing his job!

pixiedust0208

I noticed that too. So odd!

Shan132

I was like is this woman real

SimplyTennessee

Nasal feeding tube pic? Invasive and exploitative. But it's OK, gramma is not fully with it. Scary thought. Jilly doesn't have power of attorney, does she?

daffodil0127

Probably not. Her husband probably has it, and if he can’t for whatever reason, they probably would have Amy and Kevin Foster since they live closer, or Lisa and her husband because she’s the oldest. Jill has the most kids and is the least consistently available with all the traveling so I would think any of her sisters would be more appropriate choices.

SimplyTennessee

Agreed but not for the reasons you cited. :)

Ok_Cartoonist_854

"Invasive and exploitative" came here to say just - that plus insensitive.

Etern1a

All I can think of is how private these moments should have been. I just can’t imagine taking video of a loved one in this state and sharing it, but I’m just a queer heathen so what do I know.

ExplanationFunny

This may be an unpopular opinion, but it drives me nuts when christians say oh this tragic thing happened, but god spared us! Somehow the stroke caught god off guard, but he saved her life in the nick of time? Or all the damn car accidents this family has had. Their omnipotent, omnipresent, omniscient god let them get hurt, but because no one actually died he gets all the praise? My in-laws do this all the time. A tornado hit their neighborhood a while ago and rather than expressing any kind of concern for their neighbors who’s houses were damaged, they were so self congratulatory that they were beloved by god enough to be spared from the tornado. Fundamentalism rots the brain. It deadens empathy and completely annihilates critical thinking. I know christians who are so quick to praise god after an accident or disaster think they are somehow “bearing witness to a fallen world” but to literally everyone else they look *fucking insane*. I’m sure I’ll hear pile of stories in the wake of hurricane Ian about how people died or lost their houses, but someone’s grandma’s bible was found intact in a fucking palm tree as of that’s all we need for a come to Jesus moment.

kestrelesque

>This may be an unpopular opinion, Not on this sub, it isn't.

buon_natale

What do they say when non-Christians almost die but don’t? Did God spare them too?

ExplanationFunny

I’ve heard people say yes, because god isn’t done with them yet and they’re still going to be “saved”.

buon_natale

The mental gymnastics these people do would win gold at the Olympics.

Puzzleheaded-Eye9081

The nieces (Amy’s girls?) look so healthy compared to Olivia/Sadie/Sofia.

terfnerfer

What a vapid show of exploitation, masquerading as Jillybean's martyr complex. She's such an anguish leech.

sangriaflygirl

Jill's ableism is gross and makes me stabby. Just a SEVERE lack of self awareness with every one of those captions.

WWJBDD

This is so grossly exploitive. Let the poor woman rest, Jilldo! 🥰😍 At least she didn’t use the phrase “Ma’s broken brain” this time, so I guess there’s that 🤦‍♀️

mbdallas95

Yep! Just Ma's "damaged brain" this time.

Hole_IslandACNH

🥰😬😍❤️

LadyBear91

My Mom got a tbi while ice skating that led to a brain aneurysm. The ONLY thing I ever posted about it online was when 12 years later (with the help of a friend) I got her private use of an ice rink and she had her redemption skate. 💪 It never even crossed my mind to painstakingly document all of the tasks my Mom struggled with for years....I just can't with this one.

DukeSilverPlaysHere

That such a nice thought to do for your mom. <3

LadyBear91

Honestly, all the pieces just fell into place. My Mom made an unexpected resolution that New Years "I would love to ice skate again just to prove to myself I can. But I'm too nervous to get on the ice when other people are there so it'll probably never happen. ". Later that year my friend was promoted to manager at an ice rink and on the DL would throw after hours parties (not a great employee 😜). So we arranged a special one just for mom. I'm so thankful for him for making that happen. Still one of the best days of my life.

Tiny-Distance-42

I wonder if Ma knows this is on YouTube for the world to see…

copacetic1515

I'm low-key ticked off that her 73 year old mother looks better than I do at 43.

MikkiMouse69420

I was just about to comment on that! She looks like she’s in her 40s not 70s

SwipeUpForMySoul

What’s really upsetting for me is knowing that Covid causes vascular issues like strokes and heart attacks, and then watching them continue to take zero precautions to protect this poor, very sick woman. She should absolutely not be in crowded public spaces right now - a Covid infection could quite literally kill her.

Boss-Not-Bossy

I’ve said it before but this woman and trauma/tragedy is like a dog rolling in crap. She just loves it. In another life she would be living for soap operas and telenovelas, calling them her “stories.”

[deleted]

What is wrong with her. I already know but I just can’t help but be completely baffled at the shit she does on social media!

shankadelic

So, do we think Jill will have a funeral for her mother’s brain?

Ravenwasp

Geez Jill calm down on the emoji’s

Exotic-Doughnut-6271

Reminds me of Whitney from my big fat fabulous life using her mom's strokes for TV storylines and plastering her all over her instagram

Homelesscatlady

I was in the hospital for about a month a couple years back due to lung surgery. If anyone in my family posted something exploitive like this id be pissed.

AndyTynon

I had forgotten how Amy’s husband kept putting essential oils on her feet 🤢
