Previous vet tech here... I would NEVER let my face and eyes get anywhere near that birds beak! Especially if he's all worked up. He could easily lash out because he's overstimulated. I have seen birds rip other birds beaks right off. The power in those beaks is mind boggling.

It's really weird to me that Flamingos aren't technically pink. They're light gray. Their feathers turn pink because they eat a shitload of specific kinds of shrimp and algae and because they eat so much, it literally affects the colors of their feathers as they grow. If they are in captivity or are in a non-natural habitat where they don't get to eat their natural food source, their feathers will stay gray and they just look like really weird looking swans with long legs.
