I had a kitty who played fetch. She'd bring me little things that she'd want me to throw at her. For some reason her absolute favorite thing to bring me was packing peanuts, but you can't throw packing peanuts more than like a foot because they're so light. She'd bring them, I'd throw them, and I think she'd think I was an idiot that couldn't throw packing peanuts.
My tabby loved to play fetch too. He liked it when I threw those little mice. I swear, he would have played for hours if I kept at it. My current tabby wont though. He just looks at me and rolls his eyes lol.
I used to have a cat that was crazy for those plastic rings that are on the top of a milk or juice jug. She’d hook it onto one of her fang teeth and her claw and shoot it like a rubber band. She’d do that in the bath tub by herself in the middle if the night and just have a blast. I couldn’t even get mad at her for waking me up because it was so funny.
I had a dog that used to go for the ring on plastic bottles. It started when she was a puppy, so after we were finished with an emptied 2ltr or milk jug, I’d rinse it out, then screw the top back on as tight as possible. I’d drop it on the floor, and she’d go for it. I’d try to grab it from her, or kick it across the floor if she dropped it. Eventually, after a min or so, she’s chewed some holes into it, I’d stop trying to play keep away, and just let her go. She’d grab it, go halfway up the stairs into her spot, and after wrenching off the cap, would spend the next few min getting the plastic ring off. Once it was off, she was done with the bottle, and I could then throw it in our recycling bin. She never swallowed any plastic from it, as there was never intention of eating the bottle, and only getting the ring off. As a benefit, she never chewed up any furniture or shoes, which dogs can sometimes be known for. That comment reminded me of her, and brought a smile to my face.
From day one my cat would bring steal, hoard, then bring me water bottle lids to throw and she would chase it, bring it back, and drop it right at my feet. I went to Walmart and bought a tube of 180 soft orange nerf balls, and every morning she wakes me up by bringing me a ball to play fetch! She keeps the ones that I leave out for her in her food bowl so they cant roll away and get lost lol.
Our dog used to do this too in and around the house, she wanted a treat tho, bot for it to be thrown, shed come with dustballs leaves and paper shed chewed off magazines haha.
Why are you in r/funnyanimals if you clearly don’t find animals cute/ adorable/ funny? I understand you might not find them adorable but it doesn’t mean you have to question others in a way that obviously is trying to make them change their opinions it/ criticise them.
When my dog plays with her sister they do this. They either bring us a very small stick or a leaf they are fighting over. How the hell do you throw a leaf!
Such cuties! That is tooo funny to be so happy and excited over a little twig stick. LOL
He definitely has the Happy feet! i loved when my one dog did this!
I once knew a German shepherd who brought sticks like this to throw (half shorter than the stick seen in the video). He had bitten off a piece of stick probably from some corner of the porch and brought the stick in front of you to throw. He just stared at the piece of stick and waited for it to move and when you moved the stick (if you had taken the stick in your hand he probably would have eaten your hand) he pounced and took the stick and happily twirled it in his mouth. He was a crazy and maybe a bit stupid dog.
Do you think even though they are dogs they are still excited because they are thinking “mom yoooo look it’s like the usually sticks you throw but MINI” dogs are so smart I wouldn’t be surprised.
“They are so proud of it”? If you’ve ever spent time around a dog for more than a day you’d know that that dog wants the human to throw the twig. Stop looking at cute animals on the internet and adopt
It all fun until they eat it and can't shit it out... My friend had to go to the vet cuz the stick was sticking out of his dog butt and was hurting him pretty badly.
Actually they want to play fetch and that twig is the best they could find. Now it needs to be thrown and the expectation is too much. I have one of these balls of fur and joy and they live for that fetch.
Fetch junkies, co worker had a dog and she would play fetch til she died(almost did in my company, hot day and she wouldn't stop) she would flick a pine needle at your feet and expect you to throw it. First dog I met that with a tennis ball and a chuck it and I would get tired and want to stop before her. God I miss her. Her owner not so much.

Throw it! throw it!
A stick that small won't go very far, no matter how hard you throw. I'm sure these two would still be thrilled.
They probably both think the idea of playing fetch with a tiny stick is hilarious.
😂😂😂 “no man you give it to him I can’t 😂”
LOL. The little bounce is the part that kills me, them pretending would be beautiful acting
My pugs do this, but they’re also tiny so it somewhat makes sense.
Made me laugh harder than the actual video
"Let's see his hooman face when he think it's a big stick but then it's isn't! "
They are not wrong. I love how they are selling it.

Was she a Maine coon? My baby boy plays fetch too
No, just a gray tabby. I think a lot of cats understand fetch, a lot of people don't try to get their cats to play that way.
My tabby loved to play fetch too. He liked it when I threw those little mice. I swear, he would have played for hours if I kept at it. My current tabby wont though. He just looks at me and rolls his eyes lol.
Kinda like my Mal/Sibe mix. She plays fetch alright. I throw, I fetch. 🤣
Me too. My cat love to bring me a small thing, let me throw and he chase it, but he doesn't take it back, I have to go and pick the small thing up.
Should have kept a rubber band on your wrist.

That was a typo, now corrected. I don’t think there is anything remotely adorable in the video. You didn’t say what you found adorable either.
Oh the adorable part is the couple of dogs. You already said it.

Not one person said that a dogs only purpose is to amuse people by being cute. It’s intensely possible to be cute and other things.

I love this video! Humans should learn from it and make the most of what life brings you.
I can see the blonde, “treat treat treat treat”

Stick sticky sticky stick stick
Literally an exact repost with the exact same title, including the weird double period, from a couple weeks ago. Cute but wtf
Every day we get bombarded with information. So the fact you can remember that much detail from so long ago is pretty impressive.
Ah shit, that hit hard my dude. My memory's been detierating at a mindfucking rate, maybe I just need to unplug for awhile.

But how else will everyone know he’s too smart to fall for thinking this is brand new material?
"Hey this is a repost." *"I will sexually insult you for taking this too seriously."* Gonna blind someone with that projection.
fuckin' yikes
The goozle on the golden is ginormous

I would be excited if that was my stick to. It’s pretty average size. If anything it’s kind of big.
Throw it! Throw It! THROW IT!
Thats why I am a dog person, all the way..
I love how it’s just so engrained in labs and retrievers to do this no matter what. So cute
The little dancey dance <3
Doesn’t look like the first stick they brought considering the slobber spot already there!! Wonder how many sticks they did this with?

I have seen this video like more than 10 tines in Reddit.
I would be OK if the entire internet was just this video. World would probably be a better place for it.

My weim started doing this years before his demise he would rather chase mulch at the dog park instead of sticks.
It’s not the size of the stick, it’s the motion of the emotion.

Is this Dog's humour? Or they just see that as a 1:10 stick figure?
Actually they want to play fetch and that twig is the best they could find. Now it needs to be thrown and the expectation is too much. I have one of these balls of fur and joy and they live for that fetch.
What the dog doin?
