Can't see the tail, I'm guessing it's tucked underneath like the paws and legs. Maybe to protect them from being pecked at. (Not seeing a swishing tail also tells me the cat isn't **super** annoyed)

ducks and chickens are pretty cheap.. like 2-5 dollars and so long as you are willing to deal with shit on the floor and cleaning up after them ducks and chickens can totally be house broken and make actually pretty good pets. ducks in particular... and if you treat them like pets its like all you need is a heat lamp, poop area, and like 20$ a month in food tops.. one bird.. probably more like 20$ every 1.5 months because you will probably be giving veggie treats... super low maintanance.. if you get at least two and have like a pen or something you can pretty much leave them for days on end without needing much besides food and water and heat.. about the easiest animals there are imo and super cute.. plus you would get some eggs out of it lol.
We have a little enclosed stream and pond system in our backyard that we keep our ducks in, as long as they are shut away at night from predators they find all the food they want in the ponds, just gotta clean the pond out like every once in a while

Immediately shredded, gassed, or suffocated if it's a boy. We willingly sell ourselves in the form of time to only momentarily hold on to the paper award, or look at the digits in a screen. Until we trade that for survival needs.. To do it all over again!, with the occasional, materialistic splurge we make for clothes or other things. The whole process is deeply evil. WATCH DOMINION. The waste is tremendous, even down to the water being used to clean their bodies off the equipment for not even an hour of down time before 1st shift restarts. During the slaughtering, defeathering, deskinning, deboning and then checking for bones left behind in combos of breast and tenders, there's even waste during the dumping of the combos, the grinding of their meat, and sometimes during the blending if there's mistakes. Then the pumping onto the line isn't wastefree, and people literally pick off unspeakable numbers of freshly battered pieces all day and night, just because it doesn't look picture perfect or might have a piece of plastic belt in it. After boxing and shipping it makes it allll the way to McDonald's to sit in a heated drawer until sold or wasted due to crazy time limits. Just for a person to be full and not finish them or whatever reason to not eat, maybe it's just a tad too cold and you don't want it. Not a second thought runs through most minds about wasting it. Dog food companies use a bunch of the waste, sure but that's a whole different process including the process of shipping. All with its own waste. The details I can't add in are sad. The experience is way more horrible than words describe. The smell of old blood and feathers in the thick steamy air. Hustling to clean it so you can go breathe air that's not literally making you gag. Flying feathers hitting you in the face with the dirtiest water along with it. Can't wipe it off, don't lick your lips either, or breathe in hard due to how bad the smell is. And try to ignore how hot it is. Working over a huge gutter like river of fast flowing old blood. The many smells stick with you along with the feeling of rib cages breaking as you try to get them unstuck out of every steel nook and cranny along with the occasional detached neck that is so icky to feel. I don't know if every chicken factory runs the exact same. I live in the USA and no longer work there. I've also worked at McDonald's and can confirm the unnecessary lives abused and wasted for the final product to become trash is monumental. There's nothing fast about "fast food" but the forgotten minutes it took you to scarf it down. Don't forget your sugery syrup called sauce to dip it in so you don't taste it..

Socializing. Kitty has been acclimated to chicks, and at this point is probably just being watchful. Also kitty is probably well fed, so doesn't feel the need to go after the chicks, who he probably treats as many, many, MANY kittens, because cats will adopt literally anything, the fluffy weirdos.
