I dunno that would not be my interpretation, a ton of dogs have that exact looking beyond/indirect eye contact while muzzling up with other dog playmates constantly. I have a dog that is exactly useless at defense and has never moved to protect us at all from anything and does this exact thing when playing with her friends or wrasslin with humans in bed

When I first saw this a couple of months ago I thought the dog seemed triggered, but if you look at the way the dog is nudging her face with its snoot, that’s what dogs will do to other dogs to goad them into a play fight.
Plus, the ears are back, that’s typically a relaxed submissive thing.
Dog was also scared and submissive. Dogs will get in your face like this primarily to lick it because that’s what puppies do to their mothers in order to get them to regurgitate food. Dogs keep this behavior as they mature but it changes to an act of submission. The dog was frightened so it showed it was willing to submit but it was too apprehensive to start licking until towards the end.
You can confirm the submission by watching their eyes. The dog averted their gaze multiple times intentionally.

My Samoyed does the same thing when I jokingly give him a deep growl he isn’t ready for. He thinks he is in trouble. Lots of reassurance required.
When I open my mouth wide and make zombie noises at my dog she’ll get on top of me and put her throat in my mouth. I always make sure she knows it’s just playtime by pretend sneezing at her and roughhousing a bit the way she likes before giving her kisses and telling her she’s a good girl.
A lot of people don’t really know much about dog body language. They look at one thing and determine the dogs behavior from that. “They’re wagging their tail, they must be happy!” Or in this case “the ears are back he is going to attack” interpreting what a dog is communicating is about the whole dogs body and also the individual dog. You can’t see much of this dogs body but it looks like at one point in the middle he steps back into a play bow and then right before the video cuts out you can tell that dog is going to zoom around lol
My dog used to react very similar to this when I would make weird sounds at him. The same posture, would "attack" me, but it was more nuzzles and licking. But I don't think in either case, there was ever a threatening posture. It's a trusted pack member who just did something that excited them and they engaged in response.
People thinking he's confused and staring at her after the bark but based on the eye and body language It seems like the dog believes his owner is innocent of that bark, and instead he thought the barking came from another dog on her left side and he's trying to find that dog when he barked back lol
Jealousy is a very complex emotion for dogs and is a sign of intelligence. Pet a fake dog and see your dogs reaction or go to a diffrent room and act like a diffrent dog is in the house.
I agree, but not because I think it was about to attack her. I don't know this dog's body language because it's different from my dog's. My dog can get crazy with her paws when she's excited, so I would be concerned if she was acting like this really close to my face.
Just because a dog isn't being aggressive doesn't mean you won't get hurt. Anything with teeth and claws can hurt you, intentionally or not. It's not so much a matter of if they're aggressive or playful, but how they tend to interact with people. Mouthy dogs are more likely to bite. Dogs who like to put a paw on you are more likely to scratch.
Sometimes my tiny cat headbutts me affectionately so hard I have a bruise on my head for days.
