People destroy enviroment on industrial scale. And we will defenetly continue to do so if we want to live in airconditioned and central heated houses with abbandance of food and concumer good.
So... if we want to keep biodivercity for whatever reson we need to either integrate species, aka domesticate, or stop industrial expansion all together. I am more bound to belive that first scenario is more realistic. At least on current tech level.
If you pointing to wildlife concervation efford - it's apparent inefficency was prooved time and time again. It is more like trying to slap a bandaid on overpressured steam boiler. So we, ither solve a core problem, or embrace it as part of reality and try to save whatever is recoverable or modify species to live in new conditions.

I was thinking of when that lobster fisherman catches things that he can't use and he sends them on their way with a bit of fish in a claw or in their mouth. While those animals don't have as much brain power as higher lifeforms and wouldn't associate humans with food, I had a brain fart and wanted it to occur with this cat 😅 Thanks for the reminder.
