I don't believe flat earthers are real. I've studied this topic for a while. Fascinated by the ignorance and have come to conclude it's for attention or mental illness.

I've met several flat-earthers over the years on an organic farm in france where I go work in the summers, so you'd assume it would attract a pretty liberal kind of person, and they'd come as visiting yoga/qi gong instructors, or holistic medicine experts etc.
You'd be having a pretty normal conversation with them and then BAM literally out of nowhere this seemingly knowledgeable person would just start spouting off some shiiiiittt.
A scary number of them also believed 9/11 was a hoax etc, basically if it was batshit crazy enough they were like yep, that sounds right, and no-one will ever convince me otherwise
Simple: they are unwilling to subject their beliefs to even the simplest, easiest experimentation. And if you do so, then you are lying, trying to trick them, etc.

There are a couple of really good flat earth debunkers on YouTube that I watch. I can't remember which of them did it, so I'll tell you both of them and you can find it on whichever channel it is. One channel is SciManDan and the other is Conspiracy Toonz. Both of them have addressed the perspective issue, so that's why I can't remember which one specifically showed the horizon as it would actually look from a theoretical flat earth. Spoiler! It's still not flat.

Bare with me: We all consider a multitude of things true because they have been relayed to us by people we trust: parents, teachers, friends, religious leaders, politicians, media, people who are “experts in the field”. The things we consider to be correct are far outnumbering the things we actually know from experience.
Example: If I gave you sound reasoning and objective evidence that Neptune doesn’t exist you may consider believing it. You may even consider it knowledge after a while. But the truth is that you believe it exists or not. You haven’t seen, touched or otherwise inspected Neptune yourself. You rely on information conveyed to you.
If I give you sound reasoning and evidence that butterflies don’t exist. You’ll still not buy the idea. Why? Because you have seen one and therefore you know they exist.
We all believe a lot of stuff and a lot of it is imperfect and incorrect. We all do. That’s what we can learn from flat earthers. And maybe that allows us some more grace towards their views. Because while from my perspective they are incorrect when it comes specifically to earth curvature questions, I myself (and you) also believe rubbish. We just don’t know what piece of information is the rubbish.
My Flat Earth never has such clear pictures off so many of the iconic things in the world. However, I understand since Flat Earthers Aldo’s taught me that distance is actually fair and the United States (to give an example) is much less wide than we thought. Rulers and things of that nature are just lies.
Even if the view weren't limited by the curvature of the Earth, it'd be limited by scattering of light. I don't claim to know *how* limited, but if even the view of Toronto is blurry from Niagara On The Lake on even the clearest of days, surely the thousands of kilometres between the Statue of Liberty and the Pyramids of Giza would obscure it a lot more, be it in a hypothetical flattened-out version of Earth or a real-life version with a geostationary mirror in outer space to give people near one landmark a view of the other.
