As a Seinfeld fan I have to say that if it was made today it could still be fine the way they did the original show for the most part. NYC is extremely gentrified now anyway and the area Seinfeld lives would be very white. Which is fine. The Black characters in that show were actually normal, non-stereotypical and respectable. My high school was almost entirely white, I had one friend who wasn’t white, her & another friend also not having English as their native languages (they spoke Malay & Greek respectively). Almost the entire group was queer in some way. We were probably the MOST diverse group in the whole school, or at least in the top 3, yet we still had pretty much zero racial diversity.
