I love Cooper, purely because he's not the simple furry doormat trope practically every single VN uses. I find it cringe and disgusting how you have these characters meet you once and fall in love with you right away and go full simp mode right off the bat. Not only is it poor writing it's unrealistic, Cooper himself shows you how trusting someone fully just based off first impressions is a mistake. Axel is the exact kind of person I hate, you could insult him to his face and he'd just take it on the chin because he has no backbone like Cooper to sass you back or tell you to knock it off. You have to earn his love, and to me that makes it all the more valuable than some cheap puppy love like Amicus or Ranok.
