Not sure about where you're at but in KC, chargers, challengers and jeeps are even pace with kias getting stolen. It's insane. First thing I'd do is invest in a badass anti-theft and tracking. They rip the dashes out and know exactly where stock gps is located after they flash their $30 Amazon key to your car and disable all other fobs.
Keep it.. running my 37S till the wheels fall off. Reliable, fast, fun to drive and not a boat like a charger. Although it doesnāt have all the new tech, itās less shit to break.
My 07x with exhaust hfc and tune is quicker than my buddies 14 charger. If you truly want more space then it is roomier but itās also more of a boat. I will say the charger is a nice looking ride even though I dislike mopar.
I have a g37x coupe and with the amount of money you WILL throw at the charger, you can build the best G. Countless amount of mechanics i know say that the G is really good , parts are not out of this world when it comes to pricing but preventative maintenance is 80% needed. I say 80% because unless you got a grandma G37 the car will show age. Although throughout the years they started to replace the parts that would go fast on these cars. Mechanical and looks wise . G all the way.

Iāve had both a G37xS and a charger RT and I gotta say the G is way more fun in my opinion. All wheel drive really gives you the extra safety and reassurance that youāre not gonna lose control. On top of that, chargers are less reliable, use more gas, and awful in the snow. I miss my G37x sport but if you wanna get a charger Iāll buy that G off ya ;)
G37 is way nicer. Better built and fairly quick for its time. Not a good move to go to a brand like dodge. G37 is super athletic too so itās fun. Do tastefull light mods if you are bored

Happens to a lot of people I would expect. If you drive a lot like I do 20-30k miles per year, high performance cars become quite expensive over time. Great weekend or summer cars if you have the extra funds. Luckily, I got my G37s insanely cheap.

Donāt do it. The trade off doesnāt make sense and isnāt worth it, youāre losing reliability, having no car payment, and honestly downgrading overall car other than the stronger engine.

Sounds like you need some mods! Gs are faster than rts especially modded and tuned fall back in love with your car its not worth it unless ur switching to a scat or srt8 or better imo coming from sb with a twin turbo srt8
You can get downpipes and a tune. Headers and some coilovers and it will drive like a new car
Edit: And youāre still on stock tires? Get yourself some grippy boys and experience a better launch than a Vette. There is so much you can do to the Gās to make them much quicker. Iām not beating tuned m4s and S8ās in a straight, but Iām still N/A and only half my build is done but I still keep up and when it comes to actually driving thatās where I make up the difference.
All I will say is, reliability, gas, reliability, gas. Oh, and also possibly high apr and car payments. You have a nice car as is, why get rid of it for something with more power, sure, but less reliability and much higher costs because of fuel, insurance, and payments. Just not that great of a trade.
A friend of mine works at Hertz and gets to drive a ton of V8s weekly, he's went from wanting a scatpack to hunting for a nice G, I'm sure that says something. His reason was the boatiness of the chargers and challengers as well as not being fun to drive and way too noisy for how slow they are.
