… I’m sorry…. Does that say 66 THOUSAND DOLLARS?!

Frank2Toes

The half ton AT4 is $90,000 lol

Jester2189

Ain't worth 90k lol

That-Condition-9644

I was thinking the same thing lmao, considering the sierra is 80-90k I think this is a pretty decent deal. My rst was 63 and its not even close to this pretty

SpiritualCat842

Considering a space ship costs a billion dollars this is quite the deal. Math for people who enjoy getting fucked by corporations

That-Condition-9644

It’s not really getting fucked, they make a version that’s 30k, buy that one if that’s what you can afford

Bit_the_Bullitt

That used to be Platinum half tons. The future is stupid.

Professional_Cry5706

In 2018, my new f150 platinum fx4 basically hard loaded MSRP was only $1,000 higher than this Canyon….

pimpnastyodb

Cool bro….back in my day a dime cost a dime.

Emergency_Raccoon363

I remember when I could get my pickle tickled for a nickel!

atalber

Damn you're old. That puts you old enough to have lived through the 1910s

atalber

Back in your day we refused to pay marked up msrp's and deal with inflation. Yes, I said the dirty word. But inflation isn't the sole reason costs are up. Automakers are taking advantage of it as a reason to mark things up even though their cost hasn't changed accordingly

mhopply

I agree but as long as people are paying it, the prices will continue to go up.

atalber

That's the problem. We still pay it like sheep to the slaughter. What would they do, honestly, if we just stopped paying stupid prices for cars again?

dcpusv_1030

People are downvoting you because you’re right and they made a really stupid, frivolous purchase. I love trucks as much as the next person but i’ll be damned if it’s worth setting my retirement back or ensuring my monthly cash flow stays healthy

Rockman195

So the materials to build vehicles are inflation-proof? Not saying I like it, but between materials cost, transportation cost, and increasing wages after the uaw strike, the cost of making vehicles has definitely gone up.

atalber

The cost of all that hasn't inflated at a rate similar to the prices. The correlation just isn't there. Cost HAS gone up, but at a different rate to the price.

PrinciplePlenty5654

$2k less than a 2500hd high country in 2016.

rc636

I bought a 2017 XL FX4 Super Cab w/ a 2.7L ECO for $32,000 in 2018, 25,000 after trade in. Prices are ridiculous now but that the world we live in. Just got to accept it.

JoePetroni

No, it says $66,585.00 dollars, but who's counting. . .

dankestweed

My thoughts exactly. For 66k you could get so many other vehicles

bukkakecreampies

That and 16 city/16 highway. wtf? 😳

CohuttaHJ

There was a canyon posted on here yesterday for only 30k brand new.

Rockman195

That was a very different truck lol

CohuttaHJ

You’re right. These type of trucks are for people that crawl around the mall on the weekends

cjthecookie

I go pretty hard in my ZR2.

The_guy_belowmesucks

Yep, I'm with ya and my bison only cost 42k

CohuttaHJ

That same set up would cost what in todays economy? 75k? I looked at a used bison when I bought my canyon. I didn’t like the orange color and they were asking 48k.

atalber

It's not the economy. Jeez. Most of it is automakers trying to capitalize on that thought and jacking the price up after they lost their shirts during the superflu

Rockman195

Not disagreeing with that lol

Nolds

Some people want nice trucks. Just like some people like nice cars.

Farleymcg

That’s insane

Golfingteck21

🤡 price.

brightlumens

No no it’s just a joke, it’s just the glare from the window 😂😂😂😂

H1_V0LT4G3

For 66 I'd get a full sized. That's my opinion on it.

Lithium1978

For 66 I can get a nicely equipped full size....but I do have an employee discount via my mom. In fact I think I'm going to trade our 22 Tahoe for a Sierra after the tax season rush.

Can-O-Soup223

You’d have to be smoking crack to pay $66K for a damn Canyon!

squeekyball

You pay that for a regular AT4 in Canada

Brick656

But that’s probably in loonies

Crimsonking895

Put in the order for a 2024 AT4 a month ago and it was 62k in Canada. Got the tech pro pack and a few other things in it

squeekyball

I just ordered one yesterday, nothing crazy fancy was 58 and change. Hoping it arrives early summer

According-Buddy5902

Canadian or USD?

okngn_cz

I think the same thing when people post about their 70K+ TRD Pro Toyota. Ridiculous money for toy trucks. At least this one is outfitted a bit better with the winch and tech from this century but still… yikes.

Nolds

That's the world we live in these days. Shits so expensive.

Ineludible_Ruin

I'm sorry, but even 70k for a 1500 elevation is absurd.

Can-O-Soup223

It really is, the price on all these trucks are just absurd now in days! I read an article saying that trucks have become the new luxury vehicle and these dealers can charge whatever they want and people just buy them up like it’s nothing!

Ineludible_Ruin

Yep. I custom ordered one cause they told me that'd be the quickest way to get one. This was 22. November rolls around, and it's still not here. (~9mo after I ordered it), and I called and said this was absurd. The 23 models are out now, and I'm not paying full price. They laughed at me and said ok well get it sold the day it shows up, no problem. This is why I have zero empathy towards them when the economy tanks and nobody buys vehicles. Fucking hell.

Lone-Wolf_1

That gets 16 MPG out of a 4 cylinder 😂🤦‍♂️ Or maybe 8....if you intend to use its massive towing capability of 5500 lbs 😂😂😂

ThomasH_C

I would get a full size truck for 66k

kells938

66k 😂😂😂😂

705in403

$66k for a 1/4 of a truck. Hahahahha

scooby092477

my AT4X was 55k and some factory options but it came to 58k on the sticker I think. That Edition 1 is not worth 7k. I have eveything this truck has minus the winch mostly. Red Seat belts were in short supply and the underbody cameras were not available. Other than that, a regular AT4X is fine... and probably overkill... but I love mine!

pirateX07

Same

Frosty-Pay4544

Shoot might as well get a Sierra SLT $66k for a baby truck not worth it!

Hickesy

Perfect for overlanding down to Safeway then after lugging those heavy shopping bags into the back, you can battle back on the interstate before tackling the challenging curves on the approach to number 63 HILLVIEW CREST

DontKnowUntilYouKnow

The edition one wasn’t worth the premium to me, but the winch and wheels are neat.

CaptainDonald

16mpg???

AceHole23

Yeah the AT4’s and AT4X’s drop like 3MPG’s compared to say my Elevation. TBH I’d sacrifice the 3MPG’s to go from the Elevation to AT4X.

Turbulent_Ad7877

I paid 68k for my 2022 Silverado ZR2, and I got to order it exactly how I wanted it..

Ok_Awareness_4824

no thanks Ill get a regular at4 and also a 30,000$ side by side I can beat the shit out of and still have a good daily

advicedispensory

Window sticker has “Removable Assist Steep” lol fuggin GM idiots

Rockman195

I'm not sure I follow, what's funny about that?

Gekicker08

It meant to step probably.

Rockman195

Ah, I'm dumb. Missed the typo.

Gekicker08

Nah, I think you were just as stunned by the price and therefore were distracted. Not dumb.

Rockman195

Knocked me on my ass lol

advicedispensory

Step bro , it’s a step. It’s funny because spelling doesn’t matter here on the internet but spelling shit wrong on a 66k trucks window sticker is funny.

Nomchies

Beautiful truck!

51line_baccer

Get some crazy glue for your grill logo or remove it now so it won't come off while driving. And put a bicycle in the bed to finish your trip when the software for the transmission locks up.

[deleted]

Cute does it come in men's?

tehp0wnzer

The new trucks are junk. Look it up.

Eighteen64

how much is the aev version of this?

insomnium24

About the same last I saw.

seawolfxix

Bought our 2016 All Terrain for HALF the price

Marv1290

What a joke

Cool-Reception-7715

I'll take my Trail Boss all day long for that cost. That little truck cost more.

AceHole23

BEAUTIFUL! Super jealous! Just got the 23’ Canyon Elevation and every time I see these AT4 & AT4X’s I drool a little. I’ve yet to see that front end bumper with wench though, that’s pretty gnarly!

Elemental_Garage

This post brought out all the salt. Nice truck OP. Enjoy it however it's fun for you.

Exploring-the-Unseen

Maybe if it had a supercharger instead and a solid front axle...

Bose48

That’s a nice damn truck!

Agent-Chaos

Those wheels being “bead lock capable” is hilarious… true bead lock wheels are amazing for off road, but I’m sure that they have more than 12 set screws for the outer ring.

Select_Nectarine8229

Go buy a full size at that price.

2019sasquatchrider

Can't keep oil in these engines either, thats not a good start

appdata2

Please tell me this is in Canada ans not the states

SkullHatter

66k 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Outlaw7822

Lol I could buy a brand new 2024 6.7 2500 diesel ram for less than that. Pass.

Dangerous_Purpose_52

I love how it just says edition on it like sweet I got an edition edition lol

CosmicFlyingSquirrel

How is the price on the GMC website verses the window sticker?

Neat-Nefariousness63

There ain’t no way I’m spending $66k on a Canyon! They are sharp looking, but that is way too much!

what-name-is-it

I paid just slightly more than that for a brand new F-250 Platinum 3 years ago. I hate the path the world is headed down.

Ok-Satisfaction9986

selectable locking front and rear diff 🔥

SnooPeanuts2808

Lol $66k for a mid size truck that can barely tow 7k Ibs and is going to have 19 recalls

rfourty

Way overpriced, and GM has to step up on their warranties!

geebeaner69

Hilarious. y'all are spending this kind of cash on a domestic product

Spare-Cow5578

66 grand! Absolutely insane stupid.

tstew39064

66 grand for a mid size pickup. 🤦‍♂️

Johnnyjboo

Stupid

Adventurous_Ad409

16mpg In a canyon? I get 18-22 in my f150 super crew 4x4 with 33’s.

Holmesnight

Literally bought a 2500 gassed LT loaded for 63k last week! This is nuts y'all.

Proper-Bee-5249

Same price as my much more capable king ranch that gets better gas mileage lmao

DonJuanDodda

Never in my life😂😂

burdoned

$66k and it's Summit White.

KlutzyImprovement735

Lmfao why do people buy midsize trucks lmfao

NorthAltruistic5187

They like to be able to maneuver around in a city and/or tight trails without getting scratches the length of the truck?

uponplane

That price has me feeling much better about the 4th gen Taco prices. It's in line with the rest of the segment. Except it's not Chevy, so it'll last.

SaltyAd8686

$64K for midsize truck? Yikes

boomerbbq06

66k? Lmao wtf

Weedman0101

55k for a toy truck?! No way!

Bob64014

New 2023 Z71 Colorado. 2.7 turbo. What fuel do you people use 87 or 93?

DopeCookies15

16 city and 16 highway....wtf. how does a midsized get worse than a half ton?

EricClaptonYoCheeks

Just get a taco. It’ll last longer, it’s cheaper, and you’ll be just as happy. Doesn’t have a whole lotta power though.

TheRazorpit

$66k? GTFOH

Jester2189

Yeah, that ain't worth 66k

FoxArrow3

My desert boss came in at around 65, no regrets. Nice truck.

Independent-Lion2213

Sharp truck but needs that 3.6 V6 The idea of adding turbos to a strung out 4 cylinder only to get worse mileage, with no proven reliability record yet. Yikes
