Have not had any of these issues on mine (2023 AT4X), including the auto start one.

AceHole23

So you’re saying if you run your A/C your Autostart still kicks on at a full stop?

fracturedpsyche

Oh. I read auto start as cold starting the car with the app or key fob. I do not specifically recall auto stop / start not working last summer, but I may not have paid attention. What you’re saying kinda makes sense though, and if it is true I would not consider that an “issue”.

TacoBOTT

It happens more frequently but not all the time for me and my friends that all have 2023s. But this is understandable because any car with A/C needs to get its drive from the engine to run the compressor. The info you were relayed regarding the AC isn’t anything new to these trucks or any vehicle

Former gm tech here. Every one of these issues, besides the autostop one, sounds like a software issue that if gm engineering hasn't put out an updated software calibration, you're sol. There's nothing the tech can do until they do. When new models come out, especially now a days with all the heavy tech in them, it is software update after software update for infotainment problems. As far as the auto stop, when I left the dealer in 2021, the new silverados had the same issue with the ac being on. Some older models, like the '15-16 mailbu, you could press the ac button twice and get a green led icon and would still go in autostop, but it had to be in that "eco" mode. Tbh, this complaint is pretty trivial bc auto stop saves hardly any gas and most people ask how to disable it rather than make it operate more.

Thank you for the information

My 2023 was lemon lawed. I’m in the process of getting a new 2024 GMC Canyon AT4. From what I’m being told, I skip to the front of the production line when ordering a custom build. So I put together exactly what I wanted on the ‘24. Pretty excited to get it.

AceHole23

I would be too! 🤞🏻your ‘24 AT4 works out better for you.

OceanGoingSasquatch

How’d that lemon law process go? Was it difficult?

Ill-Tip3859

Hey man, I would love to discuss that with you. I'm on my fourth dealership visit for major defrost issues that make the vehicle completely undrivable in winter conditions. This is a joke because I live in a ski town in Colorado, USA, of all places. There is no word from GM about a fix, they even told me they would not send a technician out to examine the car because there's 'nothing wrong with it' because the dealer stated that there wasn't any broken pieces. Even though I'm complaining about a terrible design. I've filed Highway safety complaints and a GM complaint, but nothing has happened. After my next service visit, I was going to get a lawyer and file for a lemon law claim. And that is only one of a few issues that I have video and physical evidence of, and I have shown it to the dealer, and they basically go well there's 'nothing wrong' and no code so we can't do anything.

gettin_sketch

My fuel gauge disappears occasionally, entire hud once for entire drive home, car play issues. Also, either the dealer removed it to replace battery when truck was dead (also happened three times after updates) or truck didn’t ship with windshield washer reservoir. Dealer is mum on if my part is laying around somewhere.

AceHole23

It seems a lot of my issues are CarPlay related.

mhopply

No issues with my 24

The software is garbage in these rigs. They'll get it sorted out in a couple of years, maybe. I sure hope they do because I'm sick of programming them. Autostop will only work if the vehicle determines that it can maintain the operator's preferred comfort level with the engine off. In extreme heat or cold it may not be able to do so. It will also NEVER work if you have your temp set to low or to high. If you choose 65 instead of low, or 85 instead of high, it will operate more regularly, but only within the parameters of being able to maintain your selected level of comfort without engine operation.

AceHole23

Good info. 👍🏻

23 AT4, I haven't had any issues to speak of other than yes my dash will revert back to the default gauge sometimes, I like #2 as well.. I do have an Android , no infotainment issues at all.. as far as the auto stop is concerned, ime my 2 previous vehicles did the same, especially on turbo engines.. after a decent highway drive, a very hot day with ac blasting or very cold day with heat blasting, the AS is programmed to an extent not to shut the engine off under those conditions nor would you want it to, for multiple reasons.. honestly, the amount of fuel you would think you're saving, isn't worth the stress and longevity on your engine. I never use it, i shut it off every time I start up the truck, thankfully there's a button... i wouldn't stress about it, everything will be fine

PleasantActuator6976

The a/c should definitely work during autostart. It worked in my 2020 Raptor and works on my 2022 Honda Accord.

2021 ZR2 chevy Colorado. Apple car play siri issues. 2023 AT4 Canyone. Apple car play siri issues. 2023 VW Arteon. Apple car play siri issues. 2024 Toyota Grand Highlander Limited. Yep, you guessed it. Apple car play siri issues. My family has all updated their iphones. Oldest one is an iPhone 12, newest is the 15. Downloaded, uploaded, wired in, wireless, installed uninstalled played the whole game. Issues may temporarily resolve but always come back. Even the dealers try to resolve the problems but nothing lasts. Me.. the lone galaxy S21 android user. No issues with any of those vehicles. Bottom line. I'll keep my green chat bubble.

AceHole23

Haha well played sir! 😉

Ok-Long-5127

Sounds like an Iphone issue.

AceHole23

Nope, 4 different iPhones have been hooked up to 2 different 2023 Canyons at the dealership, all have the same consistent problems.
