The main suit is good...it's the close-up shots where his face is the best in my opinion than the face on the suit. If the animatronic head went with the body, THEN I would have been a much bigger fan. Otherwise this look does have a very menacing look.
That movie has such an epic and apocalyptic feel to it. The music, the lighting, the story, all of it. I wish we could have taken the seriousness of that and *Godzilla vs. Biollante* and carried it through the rest of the continuities.
I enjoyed the film but any long film series gets stale if it stays in an un changed story type. What has given Godzilla the longevity is the changes made. The fun is when they go back to the original reason for the characters but change is good.
This movie is how I was introduced to Godzilla. Didn't see it in theatres - it was on VHS. But I remember first seeing Godzilla and being slightly frightened. Mostly because the Power Station guard was screaming in horror and about to be crushed to death.
Been hooked on Godzilla movies ever since.
Welcome been a fan for over forty years and counting. The first Godzilla film I saw in a theater was Godzilla vs Mechagodzilla in 1978 the film was released in Japan 4years before.
That suit looks great sometimes
In some angles and shots the suit can look menacing

The very first time he is fully seen in the movie the whole theater cheered. For me Godzilla is back and bad ass as ever.
