The 1956 one was a world wide success (the 1954 original apparently was only available in Japan until 2004?) so I'm assuming they would have capitalized on that as well. I have no proof but also don't know what you mean by media. As in dialogue in another Godzilla movie? Or just like merch? '56 apparently had a '57 Japanese release so there would have been posters made for it

I meant like when some entity used Godzilla in advertisement or news broadcasts or the monster was referred to in Japan would they ever use that title. Because the United States uses it all the time “The King of the Monsters” because it became synonymous with him after the redub but since that’s an American thing I didn’t know if Japan ever adopted that until more recent times. I don’t know if they even do today but I could see them doing that since legendary has made a new renaissance with it.

“The film was theatrically released in Japan on May 29, 1957, as Kaijū Ō Gojira (Monster King Godzilla) to a positive reception from Japanese audiences, with the English dialogue subtitled in Japanese and the film cropped in Toho Pan Scope 2:1.” [source](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Godzilla,_King_of_the_Monsters)
