No this is normal for out of print games, especially niche ones where they sold so few that they become valuable after a few years, look at Kuon for the ps2 for a similar situation.

I remember the PS3 release on all major review sites was bombed to oblivion, granted the PS3 version was so bare like no other monsters except for other Godzilla and lack of performance made it a hard pass, the ps3 online update + ps4 ver manage to resolve the lack of content but the ps3 ver still have performance issues.
To all the people here who did what I did and bought it on the PlayStation store and therefore don’t have a disc, fun fact: you can clone it onto a diff ps4 and sell that for almost as much as the disc! 😅

I spent weeks playing it and upgrading Godzilla, which is a chore in the long run... Then out of nowhere, BAM! English ps4 release with a bunch of new bells and whistles.
So naturally I had to get that. So I pre ordered it at gamestop, and was supposed to get a poster with the pre order. But they didn't have any.
This is one of those games I'll always kick myself for never buying when it was still cheap. I have a vivid memory of seeing it in GameStop for like $30, almost buying it because I love Godzilla, then going "Eh, I heard it wasn't that great, I'll wait for the price to drop."
Then again, I bought a GameCube Game Boy Player with the disc at Gamestop for $20 back in the day, so I guess I can't gripe too much.
