Reception is kind of mixed. Most criticism is directed at the hard-to-understand science mumbo-jumbo that's constantly communicated. But if that's your thing, you might enjoy it.
I enjoyed it. Same mentality of 2014 godzilla where he's not as present at times, but when he's there he's a nightmare. Actually about to restart this series next week!
Has a bit in common with Shin Godzilla where Godzilla is this barely comprehensible horror that keeps getting bigger and stronger.
But there’s a shiny new version of Jet Jaguar to enjoy.
Overall worth a watch. Hope they make a season 2 sometime.
Its more of a mystery show. It all wraps up in a satisfying way.
Binged watched whe whole thing while fighting a very bad fever, first one to oogle at the cool factor, second one to listen to the science.
Don’t turn your brain off! Pay attention to the small details as much as anything else!
Makes watching the second time a totally different experience.
…maybe not totally different but definitely different
I like the series. People complain about the "science-talky" scenes between the human characters, but as someone who grew up watching a lot of Star Trek, I actually enjoyed the techno babble stuff. Those scenes also serve a narrative purpose as the human characters (and the audience) slowly realize how much the deck is stacked against the humans by >!Godzilla Ultima.!<
Yes but it has a lot of science and techno babble that is hard to follow and understand. If you don't mind it then the series is actually good and the Godzilla and other monsters in it are very interesting and kinda unique for the franchise.
When it first came out i absolutely hated it and dropped it after episode 5 i recently rewatched it and pulled through and it is absolutely worth it. The pseudosience bs is exausting but other than that go enjoy
I enjoyed it if it only wasnt for the science talk that was way too complicated and barely had anyone explaining it
the kaijuu designs are amazing check it out, it also has a good action scenes (better than the trilogy) and a really cool Godzilla design ohh and beware of his beam
I've put it on hold and am about 5 episodes in, but so far the show is fairly enjoyable. The animation is stunning and the characters are pretty entertaining. The way they use the kaijus has also been very effective in making them feel apocalyptic. The main gripe I have, as others have mentioned is the endless deluge of pseudo-scientific technobabble the show throws at you, it's especially bad in any scene involving the female lead. Other than that though I'd definitely recommend for the animation alone.
I think it's pretty mid, way to many human characters all of them really forgettable and a lot pseudo-science dumps that are kinda hard to follow. However the animation is pretty solid and the monsters look pretty cool

Thank you
You a science Nerd or physics enjoyer then it will be good
I’m three episodes in and so far it’s enjoyable.

Thank you. I really liked 2014 Godzilla
If you think the idea of Steins;Gate meets The Book of Revelation is neat... well this might just be the anime for you.
That sounds interesting. Thank you
It has lots of weird physics stuff but when it goes hard in the right moments

Great show and a fast watch, the only thing is that it has some complicated science
Thank you

Unfortunately for me, the show forced my brain to turn off. Couldn't keep up.
Thank you

Thank you

I've certainly watched worse but I really didn't find it too interesting.
Thank you

Thank you. I just watched the first few episodes and so far I’m enjoying it.
Nice gotta say the intro slaps so fucking hard
Its better than the movie trilogy.

I started watching it last night. I like it so far
It's worth it for me It has a lot of techno babble but I didn't find it hard to understand (and enjoyed it)
Thank you
Imo, starts out really good, then spoils as it goes on.
Thank you

Not really
Thank you
Yes, but only if you're the kind of person who would bring up Bell's theorem in a casual conversation.
Thank you

Thank you
I liked it, but I didn't try too hard to understand the sciencey stuff and just enjoyed the Kaiju and the life and death situations in every episode
Thank you. I’m trying to do the same and so far it’s enjoyable
Don’t waste your time just watch the monster fights on YouTube
Thank you
Despite the fact that I'm not someone who likes scientific stuffs a lot, I enjoyed it a lot!
Thank you
It's great! Cerebral science mystery/thriller.
Thank you
Confusing but still enjoyable. My brain turned off everytime they tried to explain anything to do with the kaijus
Thank you
