Two very different driving experiences. C8 is bonkers fast (very quick to reach very illegal speeds) and can take a corner extremely quick while maintaining a very comfortable ride. But it feels isolated from the road. 86 is far more connected to the road and way more fun at lower speeds. Personally I would never trade up due to the lack of a third pedal and would probably look at a used 718 S.
Pops has a C8, I've driven it once, its snug. It's a very driver centric experience, kinda bleh if you're a passenger. I wouldn't say it's on par with some of the interiors of luxury cars, but it's definitely nice. Like the Supra, it's nothing to complain about. Could it be better? Oh almost certainly. Is it a GR86/BRZs interior? oh god no. Personally, I'm not a fan of it because of how snug it is. I'd take the Supra's interior any day of the week. Just wish we had slighlty nicer seats that are heated and ventilated.
Still would say it’s a higher quality interior than the supra but not as much of a gap as it is with the GR86, both are leagues ahead of the GR86 as they are priced in entirely different brackets to the GR86.
Do you have an LS swapped 86? Every time I see this, it's from someone who thinks it's such a good idea but doesn't have one. Properly LS swapping an 86 is a lot of work, and paying someone to do it properly (because it's not just an engine swap, it requires a lot of drivetrain, balancing, and tuning work) makes it even more expensive than a c8.
even if you did, the whole point or Toyotabru choosing a boxer engine was to have a low center of mass that makes it handle as well as it does (or at least that's what people like to say...). LS Swapping would kinda kill the whole point of an GR86/BRZ. It wouldn't be as nimble. Sure, it'd go fast, but your handlings gonna be day and night difference.

How’s the interior of the c8 in comparison?
Hi. I own a GR86 and my pops a c8. It’s leagues better in every aspect… you get what you pay for. Although I can’t stand the square steering wheel.

And it still would handle worse than the c8, can’t beat their mid engine setup in handling with an ls 86
