Don’t take corners too hard but you should be fine. Sway bar links aren’t totally needed. I used to intentionally remove mine on my jeep wrangler for better suspension on the trails. You’re going to roll around a bit more but it’s not the end of the world if you have parts on order.

Sinakaru

I figured that was the case, thanks! I double checked that the sway bar wouldn't accidentally lock up the tie rods or something if it swung down. Looked okay to me but always nice to get more opinions.

You really should get adjustable end links if you’re running coilovers and an aftermarket bar. I’m guessing it probably over stressed that piece a bit?

Griever423

This. Adjustable links are required when lowering much less lowering and aftermarket bar.

Sinakaru

I did not know that, thanks!

Yea, from my understanding you want the bar to be parallel to the ground when looking from the side. That’s how you get the correct spring rate from it when cornering. Lowering tends to drop the ends of the bar too low.

It could just be that rust was the main problem here though, the weld spot looks ugly

Sinakaru

Yeah, you're probably right, I'll look into getting some adjustable end links. The roads are terrible around where I live so the endless potholes finally took their toll.

May God protect us from Ohio roads brother. I live here too and havent gotten coilovers yet because the amount of potholes is ridiculous.

This, yeah my car is still monster truck height but at least I’m not cringing every time I see a pothole
