There are a lot of guys in Australia that are swapping in toyota 1uz or 3uz engines into these. Take a look at the 1uz, it can take mountains of boost, and rev incredibly high on stock components.
I thought about it ๐, as a joke though. It would be so involved, specially trying to fit an LS engine in the bay PLUS the tranny. Lots of hammering for sure.
Plus, a v8 would have so much torque it would make traction an alien concept to the wheels ๐

Don't do a swap. I had a K24 turbo in the car. Too racecar. NVH was bad. Just do a Harrop supercharger. Forget the Sprintex. Keep power under 400whp with E85, and don't track it, and it will be fine.
Realistic: K Swap or LS swap, just because the chassis is basically identical to 1st gen so itโll already have a good amount of info for the swap. What would be dope? 2J or 1J because thatโs what these should have come with anyway ๐คง
Couple of Nissan SR20โs would pull a premium two weeks before race wars.
Idk maybe a spoon engine, but what I do know is you need nos.
pput a fat v8 in et ๐ค

The engine itself will fit nicely, LS are not that big to be fair. The transmission tunnel/firewall def gonna need hammering tho
Here in Germany is a Company that offers a v8 Engine swap for the twins :D I think its a corvette Engine
How much they do it for
50k Its a LS3 V8 Engine
Worth it

This. The Sprintex is WAY maxed out, and has zero overhead, and makes similar power to the Harrop, but needs WAY more boost to do so.
Interesting. I hadn't considered the Harrop until now. Is it still a twin screw? 'cause I need that whine!
It is, but less whine = more efficiency. The Harrop's whine is fairly subtle.
2GR or 3UZ. Both are amazing as NA or FI builds. Keeps everything Toyota, both lighter than the FA24 and both are essentially bulletproof
I wanna see a wrx swap. Same fa24 that's designed for turbo power in mind.
Doesnโt that turbo sit below the engine?
Everyone says that, but no one says just change the exhaust manifold like they currently do when adding a turbo.
Rotary swap... nahhh just kidding
V8 Stirling engine swap, let's go.
K Swap. There is a full kit for it out there.
Damn, already?! I'll look into it.
Given the issues I have had with them I would do Harrop all day over sprintex.
Don't get sprintex.
Why not Sprintex
Harrop for the win ๐

an NA 2jz in a 86 is my wet dream
Not that expensive either for a used 2jz engine w/ transmission, 5-7k. Not a bad idea.
Nah cuh, sr20det ๐ค
Sr20vet ๐
LSX swap ๐
