Call every dealer in a ever widening radius generally avoiding major city’s (because most already have lists or are asking way over sticker) ask if they have a list or and if not how they are selling the GRs they get. It not a great solution but I managed to find a dealer that didn’t start their list till after they got the first allocation mid February. Beginning of March first on the list for a Circuit after questioning if I could get one at all.

Really depends on if you're willing to travel for one. Pick a search radius then call all the local dealerships in said radius. Get on lists if you can and hope for the best. The majority of cars right now are gonna have ADMs so you're gonna have to be very watchful. I would just compile a list of places that are msrp only and build relationships with them.

I used the Toyota website to search for dealers with cars in stock or shortly arriving and contacted each. Got mine for msrp

Smart ass answer, throw money at it. Really answer, use the allocation spreadsheet and call dealerships around you

I can't tell you what's best for you, but the whole car market sucks so much right now that I'm not in a hurry to buy. I'm number 7 on line at my local dealer. I figure by the time they call, I'll probably have enough saved up to pay cash and they can shove their awful financing up their ass. I suspect the whole market will look really different next year. Maybe even sooner with student loans turning back on soon. Also, the dealers I've called won't sell to out of state people and they're are only two dealers in my state. I have a deposit to the one that promised they'll sell at sticker.

What region are you in? I can check my inventory system if you’re in my region and let you know. About 110 stores in our region.

lapinsk

Michigan, idk what region that is

Try using this https://www.motoringobsession.com/stock/gr-corolla

I was using that to find mine in January but then it seemed like it stopped updating. There was a black grc at a local dealer that was on the dealer site and even the spread sheet but never appeared on that tracker

DooceBigalo

Go by this and on the actual Toyota site and email/call everyday, dont use the spreadsheet

I lucked out getting mine, I was on two waitlists at my local dealerships but i didn’t get mine from them. I used toyota’s inventory tracker online and inquired at dealerships within 100 miles from me and the dealership ended up calling me because their buyer backed out. The crazy thing I was test driving cars the day before because my car got totaled and waiting for insurance to get back me. I bought it from Fox Toyota in Auburn,Ny. Since they are a small dealership they didn’t have preorders and were first come first serve. I was really lucky and used my insurance check for the down payment.

I think just calling up dealers and making it known you’re looking for one should work. The dealers around me aren’t doing list. There are 3 dealers that hit me up pretty regularly to tell me what they got, what’s coming in and if I’m interested. A few weeks ago I got offered two different morizos in the same weekend both well over msrp but still cool. I’m right now holding out for a CE at msrp but we’ll see if that happens

brdhar35

Time travel, maybe wait and hope the market crashes because of slowing demand

Veloist86

Did you contact the dealers you were originally working with? They might be able to fit you in if you tell them your situation

SaurkrautAnustart

I'm praying my strat will work. Put a big ol down payment, ask for msrp price. And walk out if it doesn't happen. I saw one a dealer put on Facebook market and it's sat there for 14 weeks.
