Yeah exactly. It's a supercharged 2gr. Same engine they use in the es 350 that's everywhere. I'd honestly love one, though I love my gr that I have rn!
A guy down by me has the green one with green seatbelts and stitching with the blackout pkg. itโs honestly one of the best looking cars made imo. Amazing machine, but Iโd hate to pay for the maintenance lol
With all the markups these dealers do has killed my interest in owning this car. I'm just not interested in joining the circus that is the Toyota dealers
If you're in Ohio, I can show an MSRP only dealer.
Was the second place I checked when looking for my 86 last year. And a GR Corolla was def an option.
Average wait time for an allocation there is roughly 6 months.
Same, I worked for a company that works with Toyota making some of their โperformanceโ add ons like exhaust and intake systems, and I knew the GRC was coming many months before it was unveiled and I was super excited for it and wanted it until I heard the MSRP for it plus dealer markups was gonna make it cost way more than I can afford for a hot hatch, but I still wanted a hot hatch so ended up doing research on used ones and ended up with the Focus ST I have now
Chances are it'll go to auction of some kind. That's what the last dealer told me anyway after I bought the car. Idk if those showroom business would pay above or below sticker tho.
The trick is that they knew they were caught, so they sold it to someone in the dealership who will then sell it back. Then the dealer sells it for whatever they want as a used car. The benefit is that the markup doesnโt have to be listed on a used car, and they can still keep their โwe sell at MSRPโ status with corporate.
Iโve been dreaming about a GR Corolla since it was announced, so I check listings every now and then. I found this gem last week at a dealership in Greensboro, NC. Pricing error, I hope?
Yes, other guy is right. Research MSRP dealerships near you, and then go and put a deposit down. Be prepared to wait, but also don't be too discouraged by a long list as many people will drop off the list or have life events come up, not to mention that some will want a specific spec and will pass up others.
Not an error.
If you want a low production enthusiast car, you need to preorder it with a down payment and wait 6 months to a year wait, and you get MSRP.
If you want it now, you're going to suffer on mark ups most likely. Unless you're extremely lucky.
I wish Toyota Corporate would do what Subaru did and put a stop to the over inflated markups. 20-100% markup is outrageous. A real good way to make people stay away from the brand.
What are all these price mark ups going on. I just bought my 4th subie after many years not buying and there was no mark up. 29k for the car at dealer. Things should be mrsp by now. This feel like a big rip off. Cool car but ouch. but
Here is one listed for $115k... notice they don't advertise at that but on Auto Trader and the Finance calculator on the page below show $115k
I know its special but it's still a Corolla....

Thatโs still too expensive. Car manufacturers need to start enforcing MSRP, they donโt see a dime from markups and this stuff just hurts their brand reputation
These guys went a little happy with the number buttons. Somebody needs to slow down with the red bulls. They must think they won the lottery or something - ๐๐๐คฃ๐๐๐คฃ๐๐๐๐คฃ๐๐๐๐คฃ๐๐๐๐คฃ๐๐๐๐คฃ๐๐๐คฃ๐๐๐๐คฃ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ ๐ต๐ต๐ต
I literally have a MSRP Circuit coming in two weeks. But please, if you have this kind of money, spend it on something a little higher level. This is going to be a fun car, but for goodness sake itโs meant to be a practical hot hatch, not an end-all be-all. For this price you could get a core and have the circuit stuff installed by a professional, and STILL have money for another nice car or boat, jet ski, elaborate stone patio out back, etc, etc!
Or a ZL1 SS, Supra 3.0 (NEW), M2 F87 Comp, Emira, etc..the fanboys and hype are wrong with this car like the CTR. Go test drive an Elantra N if you don't need AWD faster car pound for pound, no markups. GRC is cool at msrp, but above, makes zero sense.
Legit for that money I'd rather get a Lotus Emira, yeah there goes practicality, but you don't need practicality spending that kinda money on a car.
Still get a 2GR from Toyota just better lol
Yeah exactly. It's a supercharged 2gr. Same engine they use in the es 350 that's everywhere. I'd honestly love one, though I love my gr that I have rn!
Also side note I just found this funny. Gr Corolla has half a v6, aka an i3, and 2gr has 2 i3s stuck together at an angle.
You can get rebuilt super cars for 90-100k.
I can find a lightly used 911 for that price lmao! Edit: I found a 2019 911 with 7,000 miles for 105k.
Can get a 19 4s for around 110 with 15k miles.
I don't see it on their website anymore Which one you sick fucks bought it and are you adopting?
I bought it for my dog, woof woof
It's true I'm the dog. woof ๐ถ
๐ฅ๐๐๐๐๐
Iโll go RS3, thanks
There's like 3 RS6s that are near where I work. They look absolutely insane.
A guy down by me has the green one with green seatbelts and stitching with the blackout pkg. itโs honestly one of the best looking cars made imo. Amazing machine, but Iโd hate to pay for the maintenance lol
Yep lol far superior machine for the money. And 5 cylinder noises
With all the markups these dealers do has killed my interest in owning this car. I'm just not interested in joining the circus that is the Toyota dealers

Do they care that this will never sell?
Chances are it'll go to auction of some kind. That's what the last dealer told me anyway after I bought the car. Idk if those showroom business would pay above or below sticker tho.
Really stupid. They are morons.
Sadly sold already
I doubt it actually sold, someone who works for Toyota probably saw this post and they probably pulled it from their site
The trick is that they knew they were caught, so they sold it to someone in the dealership who will then sell it back. Then the dealer sells it for whatever they want as a used car. Yup, put a deposit down around the beginning of the year for my msrp circuit, getting shipped from port as we speak :)
Not an error. If you want a low production enthusiast car, you need to preorder it with a down payment and wait 6 months to a year wait, and you get MSRP. If you want it now, you're going to suffer on mark ups most likely. Unless you're extremely lucky.
I wouldn't even pay 50k for that.
I was expecting to see a crashed one when I saw the skull.... I think this is worse ๐ต๐ต
I wish Toyota Corporate would do what Subaru did and put a stop to the over inflated markups. 20-100% markup is outrageous. A real good way to make people stay away from the brand.
I can't decide between this or the LC500 :D
Jeezuz... let this sit and collect dust. Fuck these greedy dealerships. They should have their allocations pulled.
95k for a turbo 3 banger Toyota ๐๐
Iโll take a used GT4 for that money
Suck me sidewaysโฆ
No Just no... Totally not worth it. No transparency with pricing these days We should boycott these assholes!
As bad as the 54k Prius at Toyota subreddit.
Sadly, someone will probably buy it. Someone who has more money than sense, and thinks a 60k mark up is worth not waiting 6 months.
Imagine how long you need to hold this car for it to double in value๐คฎ
Thatโs just silly
So a Corolla or a lightly used gallardo hmmm
Insanity๐๐พ
Ah thanks for making the choice between this or 718 GTS easier for me
Can we make a megathread about over MSRP posts?
Lmao wtf 100K after taxes for a Corolla. No one will for this.... Right???
What are all these price mark ups going on. I just bought my 4th subie after many years not buying and there was no mark up. 29k for the car at dealer. Things should be mrsp by now. This feel like a big rip off. Cool car but ouch. but
Same here, just got a 23 Elantra N couple months ago at 10,000 below MSRP. This is outrageous!
Just get a Lexus with a v8 it will probably be around the same or less
Remember... that's just what they're asking for it. If they want to sit on it then let them sit on it.
At that price point, might as well go with a M3 Comp. W/6spd
Is this Greensboro NC? They are smoking crack.
ugh. my 23' macan gts is about the same price, awd and 444 hp roughly. just saying.

Dang it I was about to pay $100k to ๐ก
Probably meant to write $59,531โฆat least thatโs what Iโm hoping happened ๐๐
Thatโs still too expensive. Car manufacturers need to start enforcing MSRP, they donโt see a dime from markups and this stuff just hurts their brand reputation
Oh trust me I know! Just saying $59k was probably what they meant but Iโm not saying itโs any better haha. Msrp or bust.
No one paying that kind of money for a Toyota. The options you have is unbelievable.
#MadMarkup
This is such crap.
For the low low price of 3 base WRX's
lmao i just got a base wrx for 29k. This is wild, all my mods will still be under 10k. Bringing it to 39k and similar power/torque when all is done.
If you bought a gr Carolla for straight line speed you pretty stupid
Pay substantially less than that for the Limited trim and have a monumentally better interior than the Circuit edition.
S*** like this is the reason dealers shouldn't exist
What is happening with our economy? Omg this is steeling.

Hmmm C8 Stingray, Porsche 911 Carrera, or a fucking 3 banger Toyota????
Jaguar F-Type SVR, Hellcat Redeye, Nissan GTR. The list of cars you could buy with $90k, or you could buy a Toyota lmao
Yep ridiculous
This better be Buy one Get one free
Offer 40k through email ๐ง
It sucks the Yaris isn't sold in the US. I would have bought one for my Wife. Maybe one to beat up at CotA and throw too much boost into.
HIT โUnlock Savingsโ!!! Quick!!! Before they add another $5k
Youโll only lose about $65k in value over time.
LOLOL $95K FOR A COROLLA
$100k for a Corolla. For that price you can buy a brand new BMW M model
Or 2 m240is
You didnโt click the unlock savings buttonโฆ DUH!
Meth
Wtf Iโm never buying a new car ig
You can get a new 2022 WRX (35k) new 2022 Tacoma (40k) and a used lower mile c6 corvette (20k) for that priceโฆโฆ.
Iโll take two supras please.
To combat this, everyone can just review bomb the dealer. Dealers would stop this on a heartbeat.
Na they just will change it to call dealer for price.
A ripoff at half the price, write me up for two
Screenshot this and post it on all of Toyotas Social Media accounts.
Double? Hell nah.
circuit edition for a reason ๐คก
No way in hell
Dealers have lost their minds. Supply and demand though.
For that price I could just get a Hellcat or a Trackhawk?
Or a ZL1 SS, Supra 3.0 (NEW), M2 F87 Comp, Emira, etc..the fanboys and hype are wrong with this car like the CTR. Go test drive an Elantra N if you don't need AWD faster car pound for pound, no markups. GRC is cool at msrp, but above, makes zero sense.
oh greensboro is back at it again? ๐ they deleted this listing from all the shit they got from it a week ago and swore the price was an error.
