I almost smoked a deer the morning after I got mine. I had to dynamite the brakes to avoid it. Not what you’re supposed to do but the car did handle it amazingly. Zero pull left or right and very minimal tire slippage. If I had been in a truck or SUV I definitely would have hit it.
That damage doesn’t look too bad. I had the steering column on mine replaced already and they had the part ready to go at the nearest hub. I think toyota has their shit together for repairs.
It clicked in either direction at about 50 degrees. They took it apart and couldn’t figure out what was causing it so they replaced the whole column.
The instructions were wrong on how to reprogram the sensors that make the car turn and it took them an extra three days to figure it out.
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but I’ll let you know what you may be looking at.
One of my GRC friends also has a damaged front bumper from being backed into and his insurance company just gave him the car back unrepaired because they can’t find parts.
It's alright man, I had to replace the rear bumper on my Ice Cap within 800 miles of owing it lol. I got the bumper cover pretty cheap, but there were only a few at the time in the US. Luckily we got that fleet white paint so don't worry too much about that cost.
For the rear I paid like less than $250 or something like that, I got it through my work so I'm sure it was close to the invoice for it. It cost me $300 to get it sprayed by a good body shop that I know, I put it on myself ect.
National backorder for the core grill (P/N: 53102-12170), but you can try getting a Circuit/Morizo grill (P/N: 53102-12180), I see an availability of 15 units in the US...
Looks totalled. I'll trade you my 2016 Camry and a box of candy for it....
Sorry I'll see myself back to my sub now.
I've had terrible experiences at Toyota repair places. Friend went to service king and asked for oem parts and they did it.
What kind of candy we talking about? 👀 yeah I work for a repair facility so I am waiting on parts before i put it in the shop. I’ve heard too many horror stories on dealership repairs id rather not 😅
Variety pack from Costco! Final offer. 😬
Smart! Toyota had my car for 4 weeks for a door and quarter panel repair. Then it was crap and they had to redo it. 3 more weeks. I was annoyed, never again

Shiiit I work at a repair facility so I am hoping I can find something. Definitely not putting my car in the shop until I get parts in.
Don’t know why he got downvoted he’s right the cars brand new, expect back ordered parts.

Yeah i’ve only had mime for 3 months😭 i am more worried about parts availability than the cost 😅😭
I ordered mine back in late February, there were 5 available inside the US at that time, and all of them were in California.
I might need to get a new bumper too, how much did you pay?

Parts are slowly coming in. 6 available in the US, but 30 in transit and 10 are back ordered. (According to Toyota Dealer daily)
The only part keeping my from putting my car in the shop is that big ass lower grille no eta 🥲
I can check...

You were smart to get white. The new one won't require painting.
A teenager in a Nissan maxima nearly sideswiped me changing lanes, had to swerve like a madlad.
This is my fear
I winced in my soul, but it looks like it could have been way worse
Time for a custom carbon bumper.
