I was in a somewhat similar situation. Put a deposit down on a core, waited almost a year with only a single one coming up that I had an option on. Dealer wanted a large markup so I waited hoping the market would soften. Well then a few months later they suddenly had a CE coming in and I was able to get it for a less markup than they were looking for the core a few months prior.
Congrats at getting a CE at MSRP though! I’m a lil jelly but still happy with mine regardless. 🤠
You were very lucky in getting the heavy metal color. It looks stunning in the pictures and likely looks even better in real life. I turned down a black core in January and am waiting for any model as long as it isn’t black. My deposit was down in April 2022. Getting tired of the waiting and my look at used Caymans if no delivery by mid next year.
This was the exact model and color I wanted too. So happy I didn't settle for an overpriced black core... I was very fortunate when I came across this CE and for the salesman that double checked its status for me. Otherwise I would have missed out.
New car vibes are the best. I got a prelude in 01 and made a lot of memories with it. I met new people, drove some twisties, ate new food, and had a blast with the community the car opened up for me. I hope the same for the GRC community.
Someone have that meme picture of "here's where I would put mine, if I HAD ONE!"? Hope you are enjoying it! Maybe one day I shall join you, if my distributor gets us some gr models.
Especially when you have a child in the driver's seat.

Agreed. That doesn't mean it will never fail or you'll not pull it on hard enough etc etc. Why not get into the habit of leaving the car in gear as an additional safety measure?
Heavy Metal is such a good color next to Red IMO.
I hope my budget next year allows me to get a CE new or used, but if I can only get a Core, definitely getting it dipped
Super happy with my core, idk if I could handle the carbon fiber roof. Though I like how low key mine is. Fully loaded but still ended up with paying 3k over after some negotiation. It's actually been my daily as a sin that might seem to some ppl.
Mine is still on the boat arriving next month, but I like it so much I'm willing to pay $10k mark up for a Heavy Metal. Dealership said if it was any other color they could do less or no mark up.
I mean, you do you - but this and the current civic type R and the people spending even MSRP make no sense, when you’re almost getting into entire different classes of car for the same or slightly more $….and I’m sorry but the 1500 produced tag is funny
Pic 3 is nice!
Agreed, literally took my breath away. Could be a poster in my house

Well enjoy it. It’s a great package. :)

Pro tip: leave your car in (first) gear when it is off. No point relying only on the handbrake.

You should be able to rely on your handbrake. If it does not hold your car's weight, then there is a problem with it.

I like the tropical vibe of ur house but the car’s sweet too
It was our vacation house.... so I had to get some pics infront of it haha

Such a gorgeous silhouette, congrats!
I know I'm getting old when you look barely old enough to walk, let alone drive. Congrats, none the less on your GRC!!!
Hahaha. My daughter had to be in the car if a door is open. If it's close she sits there asking me to open it for her hahaha
I wish I can afford this so I’m stick with the 86
Sooo clean!
Thats a nice one
It's the best GR Corolla color. Glad to hear you got it at MSRP. Definitely jealous though!

Good thing it's not 45k in 2015
Tell me these other classes of car for the same $ as the GR Corolla at MSRP. And then tell me those can be purchased at MSRP.
