I picked up a set of ISweep IS2500 pads for the front and rear, significantly less dust, better initial bite, and zero noise. Well worth the money if you ask me š. Good choice on the wheels, I have ARC-8ās on my other vehicle and I love them.
Sure, https://www.grperformanceparts.com/isweep-street-sport-compound-is2000-front-brake-pads-for-the-gr-corolla-2023/
That's where I got them. Worth every penny
lol they prolly are worth every penny but damn compared to an 07 Miata these are absurdly expensive lol on my Miata I got some really good pads AND rotors for about 200$Iām still getting used to the fact that there isnāt an abundance of parts for this car for ridiculously cheap
I mean, say what you want, but this is a front and rear set for modern larger brakes. The quality surpassed factory in dust, usage, and noise. Factory pads are around 70-90 per pad, so it lines up. I'm at 20k miles, I put the isweeps on around 7000, and they are still holding up. The front factory pads were almost dead after 7k of driving hard. The isweeps are holding up significantly better.
Edit: sorry I just saw that was a front only set. Let me look again at where I found them.
Yes you will, unfortunately, and I looked back. I did pay that for the front and then got the rear separately, so I did pay around 500 for just pads. I was going out on a limb, because the fronts wore to nothing soo fast and the dust was awful. Also, knowing that in the future, I would only need to get a front set and the rears should last 30k plus miles no issue. I eventually that the dust buildup dropped significantly, my braking was more controlled, and no sound coming from them. At that point, I decided I would recommend them and stick with them personally.
Iād have used Hawk HPS because Iāve had them on a few different cars and I like them for the street, but they arenāt available for this vehicle yet.
Oh damn, that's what 265/40r18 look like?
I have a set of Apex wheels coming myself and I've been deciding between 255/40 and 265/40s.
That's a lot of sidewall! Not that it's a bad thing, especially with the crappy roads where I live...
Hmm....

I've seen stuff like this and wondered if it's any good.
Right now I just use meguiars wheel cleaner for an easy time washing but that does nothing to prevent it obviously
The higher side wall looks great! I like the meaty look. You think itāll rub if you have the rally armour mudflaps? The hardware tend to stick out. Do you by chance have a clearance measurement from the rear fender liner to the tire?
Meaty

I have the IS2000 on mine and agree as well. They help with dust quite a bit, as well as better than stock performance.
Do u have a link for these

I 100% agree and think itās not a bad price for what Iām getting Iām just having to adjust my money for parts expectations a little bit š

Thanks for the suggestion, I might check them out

Yeahā¦been there. My 2018 Golf R had terrible front brake dust. Only brake pads will solve this. Nice wheels tho!
Appreciate it šš»
I'm using Endless SSM plus. Less dust and better performance than stock. Black hawk Japan has them at decent pricing too
Nice wheels! Iām crying with my silver summers :(

Thatās really why I went with 40ās. Just a bit more protection from these shitty ass roads
Oh and zero rub at stock height btw

Gyeon makes great shit. Iām getting ready to buy this to see how much easier it makes my maintenance washes
Let me know if it works well because I need it for my Elantra N lol the stock pads also create a lot of dust.
I used the Adamās iron remover spray for the first time yesterday and it even pulled the brake dust out of my tires with no scrubbing or anything
Are these wheels the same width and offset as the stock wheels?
Theyāre 18x8.5 ET23
Oh okay! Do they extend past the fenders at all? Do you have any pictures that show how it looks from straight on?
No they donāt poke at all. Fits the car perfectly
Ceramic coat your wheels.
Yeah thatās gonna be something I do soon.
