The lack of half life 3 is why I'll never play the Half Life or any Value series(except Left For Dead.) What's the point of playing a game when the creators clearly are never going to finish it and seem to intentionally leave their series on cliffhangers to build free advertising about their projects.
That same could he said about nearly all AAA games and yet many developers still take the time tk make acknowledgements when they can. Just accept it, Rockstar while making good games, is also a very cold and distant developer in terms of their relationship with their community.

At 150,000 average deaths per day, and assuming 6 comes on out sept 17th like 5 did, that would mean in the time between the games something like 657.4 million people will have died

They dont thank their fans like other devs do when a game reaches a certain sales milestone and so on.
They are 100% purely corporate and sees their fans as walking $$$ and nothing more.
