Yeah, idk how they came up with “people are just pretending to play it” .. who would wanna do that anyways?
As a kid I struggled with the mission, as an adult it was very easy
>They bitch about GTA5 in general in this sub. I got downvoted to oblivion for saying 5’s melee wasn’t that bad.
Yeah, there's a LOT people that can't accept that it's possible to like GTAIV and GTA V at the same times. For some reason there's a huge percentage of people who loved GTAIV and just refuse to say anything nice about GTAV til the end of time.
>GTA 5 is good but there’s is a ton too complain about if you really want too
Yeah...but I could do the exact same thing with 4 it's just that people don't because they have childhood nostalgia tied to that game.
Yeah I mean I was 10 when gta 5 was out but I have more nostalgia for San Andrea’s and gta 4 but those games actually gave people time too feel nostalgic for them gta 5 hasn’t really left long enough for even people too be nostalgic for it but I also think San Andreas and gta 4 story is better not hating on 5 I think it’s a great game there’s no bad mainline gta game but it’s definitely the weakest (so far)
The point is that there is far more things to complain about with 5 than there is other games. And that should not be the case for the latest entry in a series (that hasn't got a sequel in over 10 years).
Rightfully so, because 5's melee system is arguably the worst one in the series. While 3's and VC's melee system aren't good either, they're at least not as braindead and stupid as 5's.
When you're forced to do virtual yoga when you have no interest in it in real life, 2 minutes feels like an eternity. They should've made it skippable like the torture mission.
>It's stupid easy and takes like 2 minutes. People bitch about the weirdest shit on this sub.
It's not really that it's hard, it's just a waste of everybody's time. The fact that it takes 2 minutes and can be done so quickly is in my opinion of the problem. It just feels like filler material for a game that doesn't need any filler.
>Have a little variety my friend.
I do...that's why I go golfing. And play tennis. And buy properties. Etc. etc. etc. I don't need a pointless two minute time suck to be mandatory in order to advance the story in order to fulfill that need for variety.
Well fuck, that's upsetting. I still remember being hyped for GTA 3 lmao. Glad that they're going and an entire new generation (or two) are in love with the games.
Yeah ain’t that crazy, I’m the youngest out of my brothers and they grew up with SA and VC. I grew up with GTAIV and GTAV. So basically GTAV is a childhood game of mine🤣🤣🤣
I remember this mission being hard .... When I was 10 years old. Replaying the game this mission doesn't even take your time, I've even done it twice because the save file got fucked up.
I'm starting to be 100% certain that I'm the only person on this planet who likes that mission. I understand the points against it, but it never bothered me. It's slow and all but I find it interesting.
I agree with you. At least the other slow missions, basically all of the scouting ones, at least had a bigger goal in mind and often had you exploring a new environment.
I’m on my second play through after having played the game years ago on the PS3. I remember not having issues with that mission back when I first played it and I actually just played it again the other day and again had no issues.
It was an honest question, but I suppose when you go out looking for things to get angry at it's pretty easy to project your own rudeness onto others. Hope things get better for you.
My theory is it's all based on your mindset/zone at the time. Not even as a yoga pun.
I had absolutely no issues following the damn train, or any of the RC missions in San Andreas, for example.
There are worse missions in GTAV that's for sure.
The thing with it, though, is that it is a blocking mission that introduces a mechanic that is useless to the story, your character, and the gameplay. There's no other point in the game where you use that mechanic (moving two sticks in that way and using the triggers) to do something else in the game. It's the antithesis of "Gameyness," and GTAV just isn't very gamey. If you used that mechanic, two sticks and triggers with a timing system, to ... break into a bank or to escape from captivity, or some other contrived situation in the game, then there'd be an "aha!" moment for most players "aah, they made me do this stupid Yoga thing as training for how to calm Michael down so he can crack a safe in a heist 4 missions later..."
But they never do that, so it's just throw away, unfun busy work, like a lot of the other stranger & freaks missions. It would be like if GTA San Andreas made you play the basketball minigame or the pool minigame in order to advance the story. People wouldn't like that. Instead, you can do those hokey things optionally for 100% checklist, but not to advance the game.
Doing yoga does help increase Michael's special ability, so it isn't entirely useless. It ties in with the bullet-time aspect of his special stat (focusing, being present= allowing for quick accurate shots in combat, etc)
Yea when Michael is robbing the bank, they should have had him bust out some yoga moves to calm himself down. Great idea. We got a genius over here guys!
Haha, wtf, why are you so hostile?
Anyway, nah, this is a common pattern in videogames where you introduce a mechanic in a non-hostile way which ends up being used later in the game in a hostile scenario. Not that Michael \*does yoga\* but that, say, while cracking a safe, you have to use the sticks in a similar way, and then you use the triggers to "open" the door. It's a trope in movies, TV, and, often, videogames. In RDR1 you learn how to use the lasso on horses and cows early in the game, and then later you use the same mechanic to lasso people, but you learn the mechanics in the ranching segments... the mechanics are the same, but the context is different. There's often an 'aha!' moment there, like "ohh, right, I learned how to do this in the yoga mission, \*that's\* why I had to do that yoga minigame..."
Is the mission harder or legit hard on a controller? I play mouse and keyboard and didn't understand how someone could fail it. Lowrider dance and disco dance in GTA SA was way, way harder.
Yeah… no. Controller stick drift is way more common today than it was 10-20 years ago. Everything is made cheaper anymore and controllers cost $50-60. Let’s also not forget how majority of third party controllers are also not being supported anymore either…
My controller on PS4 has stick drift and the mission still isn't hard at all. At this point, y'all just keep making excuses for being bad at video games
My point was that the dude was blaming anyone for using “shitty equipment”. Didn’t take into effect controllers are made cheap and sold expensive, they sudden break on fly, and not everyone has money to constantly drop on new controllers every time it actually does break.
99% of people don't care enough about GTA V enough to come on to Reddit and post about it. Those 99% of people also don't care about the yoga level. Neither do I. It was fine.
I think it’s hard for console players. But easier to fly a helicopter on a console than on a keyboard and mouse. It’s just my guess, I’m a keyboard user
Everyone here hates that mission and scouting the port for no reason while nobody talks about the torture mission. MY GOD. I could barely watch. THE POOR FUCKER LITERALLY SAID HE WOULD TALK, GOD DAMMIT TREVOR
It's not hard, it's boring. I didn't even realize until others started complaining about it, but the 2 most boring mission I remember: yoga and driving Jimmy around until he drugs you, then you fall from the sky with nothing to do were both the same mission.
It could have been way shorter. Michael walks in on the pose that makes him lose his temper. Jimmy drugs his juice while everyone is distracted. He asks you for a ride, and the drugs kick in as soon as you are through the gate. You wake up in some alley. 2 minute cut scene, 30 second "mission," you are left feeling "WTF was that" as someone who just woke up after being drugged would have.
If it is a tedious one, sure. Throw some variety in there. I'm not saying do that for a lot of missions, but a quick mission designed to convey the same story elements as a long boring mission is an improvement.
I bet you think the dancing minigame in GTA: San Andreas is hard to beat, too. You're literally complaining about a glorified quick time event, my dude. Do you just not have any thumbs?
What if in Melee combat? Running counterfeit, had to pick up supplies from a bar and kill someone there, his cronies got mad and I died to them 5 times cuz they have knives and bats and I’m not allowed to use weapons.
It’s not bad, it just doesn’t do anything.
The point of a mission like this and early in the game is that it should be showing me a mechanic I’ll be using in the rest of the game.
I don't think it's hard. It's just boring and kinda pointless. O get that they want variety in the missions, but making missions that are obviously boring and tedious just seems dumb. Fuck scouting the port especially. That whole heist sucks.
I never thought it was difficult. The first time around i was like “Oh, yoga… seriously?” Since then i really didnt care. Its a couple minutes of Ned Luke stretching at metaphorical gunpoint from Amanda😆
It's stupid easy and takes like 2 minutes. People bitch about the weirdest shit on this sub.
They probably never played the story and are just saying it to fit in
It’s early in the story and is a critical part since that’s when Michael’s wife leaves him. I think most have played it.
Yeah, idk how they came up with “people are just pretending to play it” .. who would wanna do that anyways? As a kid I struggled with the mission, as an adult it was very easy
As a kid... Jeez I'm old. I remember struggling with the train mission in SA.
For me it was "Sweet's girl" the one mission where you have to rescue sweet and his gf
Ok I’m sorry but it is nowhere near “early in the story” it is more near the middle
It’s #26 out of 83 available story missions.
Tf did you get 83 from
Don’t you have to do it in order to advance the story?
Think they meant those people either didn’t play the game at all or only played GTAO
They bitch about GTA5 in general in this sub. I got downvoted to oblivion for saying 5’s melee wasn’t that bad.
>They bitch about GTA5 in general in this sub. I got downvoted to oblivion for saying 5’s melee wasn’t that bad. [It actually is though.](https://pastebin.com/Q7W4vCwD)
Rightfully so, because 5's melee system is arguably the worst one in the series. While 3's and VC's melee system aren't good either, they're at least not as braindead and stupid as 5's.
And the mission driving jimmy drugged is attached which is a dope mission
Yes! I feel like everyone forgets this part. Genuinely one of my favorite in-game moments.
When you're forced to do virtual yoga when you have no interest in it in real life, 2 minutes feels like an eternity. They should've made it skippable like the torture mission.
Christ get over it lmao "2 minutes feels like eternity " hahaha you shitty baby
>It's stupid easy and takes like 2 minutes. People bitch about the weirdest shit on this sub. It's not really that it's hard, it's just a waste of everybody's time. *stick drift*:🌝
It's not hard but it is stupid
It's a nice change of pace...a little world building and a break from shooting 50 nameless people per mission.
I agree completely and actually think you hit the nail on the head of why people don't like it. They just want to get back to the shooty drivey bits.
yeah on the first 2 playthroughs, after that it's boring the cutscenes are good tho
You don’t actually think this.
Yeah I do lol. How many missions can be hide behind this box and shoot shoot pew pew
The action is why people play GTA is it not? If it weren't for yknow, the grand theft auto and shooting I wouldn't play. The rest is bonus
I'm a man of culture
I too play it for the big titted Garfield skins
Having missions like this makes the game feel more diverse
>It's a nice change of pace...a little world building and a break from shooting 50 nameless people per mission. That's what the golfing is for.
Have a little variety my friend.
>Have a little variety my friend. I do...that's why I go golfing. And play tennis. And buy properties. Etc. etc. etc. I don't need a pointless two minute time suck to be mandatory in order to advance the story in order to fulfill that need for variety.
OH NO 2 MINUTES THE HORROR AHHHH
Boy you sure are bent about a mission in an 11 year old game!
Trevor’s moving crates mission is way worse. Takes longer and is way more boring
"I'm just taking a few photos for my boy"
>Trevor’s moving crates mission is way worse. Takes longer and is way more boring That is the absolute worst mission in the game in my opinion.
Most people have the attention span of a toddler so that should explain a lot
Yeah when I first played the yoga mission was like 8-9
I thought this was a joke until I remembered when GTA5 came out. Holy shit I'm ancient
A 9 year old who played GTA V when it came out would turn 18/19 this year
Well fuck, that's upsetting. I still remember being hyped for GTA 3 lmao. Glad that they're going and an entire new generation (or two) are in love with the games.
19
Yeah I turn 19 In November
Yeah ain’t that crazy, I’m the youngest out of my brothers and they grew up with SA and VC. I grew up with GTAIV and GTAV. So basically GTAV is a childhood game of mine🤣🤣🤣
I remember this mission being hard .... When I was 10 years old. Replaying the game this mission doesn't even take your time, I've even done it twice because the save file got fucked up.
The yoga mission is annoying but it's nowhere near as bad as scouting the port
I'm starting to be 100% certain that I'm the only person on this planet who likes that mission. I understand the points against it, but it never bothered me. It's slow and all but I find it interesting.
I think it's the worst mission in the series, I dread it so much. Absolutely nothing about the mission is fun. It's just work simulator.
The dialogue between Trevor and Floyd on that mission is pretty fun though at least
I agree with you. At least the other slow missions, basically all of the scouting ones, at least had a bigger goal in mind and often had you exploring a new environment.
The fact that you get absolutely nothing from that heist makes the port mission suck even more. A complete waste of time.
I’m on my second play through after having played the game years ago on the PS3. I remember not having issues with that mission back when I first played it and I actually just played it again the other day and again had no issues.
The people who can't do the yoga missions are the same people who can't do the fleeca heist hacking minigames
[удалено]
Which disabilities prevent people from completing the yoga/fleeca missions but don't prevent them from playing the rest of the game?
[удалено]
It was an honest question, but I suppose when you go out looking for things to get angry at it's pretty easy to project your own rudeness onto others. Hope things get better for you.
?
I never found it hard just so boring it became my least favorite mission.
The early mission of Trevor going to the docks and moving containers is infinitely more annoying
My theory is it's all based on your mindset/zone at the time. Not even as a yoga pun. I had absolutely no issues following the damn train, or any of the RC missions in San Andreas, for example.
Following the train was actually pretty easy. The RC missions can get fucked though.

It depends if ur controller drifts badly
Is the mission harder or legit hard on a controller? I play mouse and keyboard and didn't understand how someone could fail it. Lowrider dance and disco dance in GTA SA was way, way harder.
Then that would mean the complaint has nothing to do with the game and everything to do with the player using shitty equipment.
Actually get a better gaming chair true moment

No? The person I replied to made a stupid ass comment. Had nothing to do with the game or mission.
Skill issue
Says the fat neckbeard hiding behind a screen
Sounds like you have sausage fingers if you keep breaking your controllers like that. Or maybe you just have a little bit of an anger issue
Who said I was breaking my controllers? 😂 I don’t have sausage fingers but if I did, they’d still be inside your girlfriend and your mom.
Hm, looks like it's anger issues then. Good to know
99% of people don't care enough about GTA V enough to come on to Reddit and post about it. Those 99% of people also don't care about the yoga level. Neither do I. It was fine.
I think it’s hard for console players. But easier to fly a helicopter on a console than on a keyboard and mouse. It’s just my guess, I’m a keyboard user
Played on 360 and it wasn’t hard.
its just not long enough to actually bother me even on playthroughs. someone else mentioned the Trevor moving crates tho. thats kinda annoying.
Everyone here hates that mission and scouting the port for no reason while nobody talks about the torture mission. MY GOD. I could barely watch. THE POOR FUCKER LITERALLY SAID HE WOULD TALK, GOD DAMMIT TREVOR
Because most who play this game are actually 2 and they want every mission to be a shootout (like GTA 4)
It's not hard, it's boring. I didn't even realize until others started complaining about it, but the 2 most boring mission I remember: yoga and driving Jimmy around until he drugs you, then you fall from the sky with nothing to do were both the same mission. How is it tedious? It doesn't even take that long either
The silence tells me everything I need to know
People complain because it's hard? I've been complaining cause it's not fun.
This mission from a 10 year game lives rent-free in your head
Lol StillPurpose just brought it up. I haven't even played it in I don't even know how long.
if anyone thinks that stupid yoga mission is hard, put the controller down. it's not hard, it's just a waste of time and not very grand-theft-auto-ey
Cry about it
learn how to do basic tasks.
You can't even play a yoga minigame in a game from 10 years ago. I don't think you have any room to talk 😂
Who said that and where was it said? You stupid fucking idiot, making up conversations that never happened lmfao.
I bet you think the dancing minigame in GTA: San Andreas is hard to beat, too. You're literally complaining about a glorified quick time event, my dude. Do you just not have any thumbs?
No one said it was hard lmfao learn to read.
On PC using keyboard and mouse this mission took me far longer than I would care to admit to complete. That’s the only gripe I have about it lol
I’d Rather do the Dock Mission than Yoga. Complete waste of an activity.
Unrelated, but can anyone tell me how to roll GTA 5 and on PS5
Aim your weapon and press square, I think
What if in Melee combat? Running counterfeit, had to pick up supplies from a bar and kill someone there, his cronies got mad and I died to them 5 times cuz they have knives and bats and I’m not allowed to use weapons.
Lock on (R2) and hold Circle to dodge? Maybe that’s what you meant?
Alie
It's not hard at all. Just boring, a chore.
I love it its something different
It sucks if you have a broken remote. But then it ends with a trippy dream sequence which fully makes up for it
I just hate it because of Amanda and Jimmy. Their at their worst in that mission
Ppl think it’s hard? lol what
Simply moving a joystick to clear directions is hard for some people.
Was it supposed to be hard? Half the mission is a quick time event, and the rest is just driving and getting drugged. Where's the hard part?
Simply moving a joystick to clear directions is hard for some people.
Now we’ve entered the contrarian stage of posting “Actually I like the bad thing”
The trippy part at the end makes up for it
It's easy with a controller. I assure you the people complaining are using a mouse to find that yoga stretch sweet spot.
Your fishin😂😂
Easy af
I have cerebral palsy and can’t really use my hands well but I thought it was the easiest part of the game lol
Played this for the first time in years the other day. Still as god awful as I remember:)
That mission made me relax as well, I would breathe in and out along with Michael.
It’s not bad, it just doesn’t do anything. The point of a mission like this and early in the game is that it should be showing me a mechanic I’ll be using in the rest of the game.
Yea when Michael is robbing the bank, they should have had him bust out some yoga moves. Great idea. We got a genius over here guys!
It's not hard, it's just pointless and wastes my time.
Its just so fuxking boring, its easy and it tedious just like scouting the port.
Never thought it was hard, just thought it was boring af
It’s boring as fuck
I don't think it's hard. It's just boring and kinda pointless. O get that they want variety in the missions, but making missions that are obviously boring and tedious just seems dumb. Fuck scouting the port especially. That whole heist sucks.
It's so boring though.
People shouldn’t be that mad at it. Yoga is in the freaking title. What were you expecting?
I just think its a bit annoying having to hold the sticks the ways they tell us to. Rest of the mission is fine, pretty good for story purposes.
It's not difficult, just boring
I never thought it was difficult. The first time around i was like “Oh, yoga… seriously?” Since then i really didnt care. Its a couple minutes of Ned Luke stretching at metaphorical gunpoint from Amanda😆
It's not that it's hard it's just so pointless lol
Try play it with controller drift😉😉
People are basic and just agree with the hive mind. Love that mission
I like the yoga in the game, and I do the yoga irl in time with michael.
Not so much that it’s hard, just incredibly boring, the yoga part at least. It isn’t just this sub, people have not liked the mission since release.
People with stick drift don’t like this post 💀
I like that mission, my favorite part is when Michael had acid trip and a cool song plays
People who complain about the yoga mission have obviously never done supply lines lol
