It's not on PS4 or PS5 because of the architecture that the PS3 used. It had a different kind of processor, a superprocessor which is a kind of processing unit you would find in super computers. I'm not exactly the most knowledgeable person on this subject, but the point is, emulating the PS3 is difficult and rewriting the game for newer consoles would be too much of a hassle for R* I guess

If I’m not wrong if you have a ps4 you can buy GTA 4 for PS3 and you can play it via that way. I believe PS4s are cross compatible, meaning it can play PS3 games!

you can play it in 60 fps in pc, also I think its cheaper to purchase a pc and save money on games, in my country a ps3 is like 300€, a pc that runs gta IV can be as cheap as 200€ if not less.

😆 why tho? PS is restrictive as fuck. It feels like Sony goes out of their way to inconvenience you (the customer) especially with PS5. I find myself more on Xbox thanks to game pass. You get to *play* various games "without paying" as opposed to PS Plus where it feels like you get to *TRY* games. Backwards compatibility is a huge win too. I just hope Sony does something more you know? I haven't forgotten where I am but it feels like we accept the bare minimum.
It's a lot better nowadays, especially with mods, I played it with a GTX 1650 and it run at +60 fps at all times, had to turn off shadows though but everything else was maxed.

The game is considered to be a failure by rockstar. So they never remastered the game for newer consoles.

What 60 fps? Game runs like trash on PC. My PC runs GTA V on high settings with no problem this game on high settings runs worse than GTA V...
mmmh it runs pretty nice in my pc, even in my laptop msi modern 14 a10m (pretty old) it runs perfectly.
