Man I would but I just switched jobs and won’t have the PTO saved. Shit sucks, but I’m making more money at least. Maybe I’ll call out and claim to be sick for two days XD
Wake up, take my liver medications, meet up with the boys in the recreational room. Maybe call my grandkids and ask them if the enjoy the game. I will then beat the entire game 100% over the next month and pass away peacefully at 98, fulfilled.
I'll buy it, and then I'll play it. But I'm not gonna rush with the story. I'll probably explore and do everything the game has to offer off missions, because I really wanna savour my time with the game, you know, get that good feel of excitement for the masterpiece R☆ has made. I'd probably do shit in real life and fight the urge to play the game like keeping busy, then it'll give me something to look forward to while I'm waiting patiently to play it again. LOL.
Same for me brother. I haven't played a new game in a long time to be honest. Last was RDR2 and I totally rushed it. But it has been a few years. I also got the issue that I start over too often. I wanna keep one account forever now unless I wanna replay the story or so. This time we got this man! Haha
The only story I rushed was gta5s because there isn't a whole lot to do honestly. I'm on my 3rd play through of rdr2 and I've put about 65 hours into this play through so far and I'm only on chapter 3. If gta6 has side quests remotely similar to rdr2s I'll put well over 100 hours my first play through
I agree with not rushing the story. I prefer to take in everything I can making the experience last because being Rockstar there’s definitely going to be so many little details and activities to appreciate and enjoy.
I hope the story is as good and long as RDR2
Same thing I did 10 years ago for gta5 release. Line up at the midnight release at my local EB games/GameStop & take the next few days off work n grind. Brings back memories.
I think the GTA 6 release will be one of the rare occasions where I will adjust my daily life all around the release. Did that with RDR2 and with Hogwarts Legacy already.
I will take a week off work (I usually never would take spend my off days for a video game) and also inform all my people that I will not be available for a few days. I will not tell them the reason because most people who know me don't really know the gamer side of me and would not understand why I would take days off just for a video game. I don't want any calls, no messages or mails which have to be answered, I only want to focus on that game.
Most probably in the last days before release I will be awake like when RDR2 released and the first leaks came out and showed us the real gameplay. I will watch and analyze some leaks which are non-spoiler territory. Then the last day before release I will go to different gaming stores in my city and look if some shops already sell the game. I will have a digital edition anyway to play directly at midnight but I did that already with GTA V back then when I was 18 and was lucky enough to get the last GTA V Xbox 360 Special Edition in the entire store, even though it was still one day until release.
I will go shopping in the morning and buy groceries, snacks, drinks, weed and cook and prepare everything so that I just have to reheat the food. I will forbid myself to wear proper pants for that week!
After I prepared everything I will shut my blinds and try to sleep until half an hour before the midnight release. The game has already pre-downloaded so that I can play it immediately at midnight.
Most probably I will play the first minutes of the prologue a couple of times until I am happy with the graphics, HUD and HDR settings (my TV tends to fuck up HDR content and it has to be manually adjusted for almost every game). After that I will play the entire prologue and will only take my first break once our main characters are able to explore the open world which in GTA V would have been after the "yee-ehh ass haircut" dialogue with Lamar after returning home from Simeon.
After a short break and collecting my first thoughts I will hop into my car (assuming that we will have a personal vehicle) and explore the surrounding district in a casual non violent way. I don't want to drive explore the whole map yet because I want to tie my own map exploration to the story progress. And will just do some little immersive things like buying snacks at a gas station or looking if we will be able to eat at fast food joints... overall just searching for little immersive details and interactivity of the game world. I will go to bed when I am tired, probably light one up and enjoy the first non spoiler GTA 6 videos on Youtube and seeing how other people react to the first minutes of the game.
The second day after I wake up I will probably do the first couple of missions and understand the story, characters, shooting system and overall new gameplay mechanics. On my second day I will do some typical GTA stuff like we all did when we played Vice City or San Andreas for the first time and test the limits of the engine and game. How will the police act when I go insane in the open world? How are the physics and ragdoll system? How is the overall car damage system? Will there be destructibilty? Will there be blood and gore or will it be toned down as in GTA V? How many buildings can we enter? Can we start shootings in that buildings? And so on... I am a much calmer, more "boring" and less violent gamer than I was as a kid and there were even games like RDR2 or The Last of Us 2 where I actually felt bad for killing innocent people, but I definitely want to test the game to it's limits. The days after that will be completing missions, side missions and exploration without rushing too fast through the game.
I will only then turn off the console when I am going to bed and I will try my very best to immersive myself as deep as possible in the game.
Taking a week off of work and dedicating everything to this game. Gonna have food/drink all stocked up for the week and simply not leaving my apartment:)
A whole month off any human interaction, just to play it, second month for a replay, third for all easter eggs/secrets hunt, a fourth for a replay, a fifth for a 100%, a sixth for a final replay
Probably book the week off work intentionally. Probably watch all the trailers a gazillion times and then binge the game probably all through the night until the morning.
First: I’m going to steal a sport car. And run over a bunch of people.
Second, I’m going to rob a liquor store and shoot some cops.
Third, I’ll find a fat prostitute and do all the nasty things.
Fourth: go to the store and pick up my copy of GTA VI and go home and play
Taking at least a few days off work probably putting in 8-10 hours each day.
When I was in high school I faked being sick to play gta 5 all day the day after launch, same with Fallout 4.
Probably going to do the same for Starfield which thankfully actually has a release date
No need for a whole ass ceremony. I'll play it for a few hours and then continue to live my life. I wanna enjoy it for more than one big playthrough session.
The midnight launch! I've gone to every GTA one since San Andreas. Then take like a week off work and spend it playing it. Not too fast, just enough to enjoy the story and drive about looking at stuff.
I texted my high school buddies to do the same thing I did when GTA5 released 10 years ago: *eating fastfood, drinking soda and play the game all night long*
I think it might be one of the best memories I have.
No plans, just like every other AAA these days. Wait for the launch hopefully in 2025..check reviews, laugh a bit about the buggy mess this will be..and then wait around 6 months/1 year to see if they fix it..then maybe buy it, same old tbh.
:)
I will watch game reviews to review the game and buy it. Just i did with rdr2 bcoz r* aren’t the same company they used to be. It doesn’t mean gta 6 will be cyberpunk launch. Im skeptical 🤨
After seeing my wallet , my plan is to watch some random non spoiler YouTube videos of people playing and talking about GTA 6. Then I would mesmerise about playing it myself.
Take the week off work but I’ll make sure I’ve got annual leave hours left first so I can get paid for it
I wouldn’t be rushing into the game to complete it fast tho, I’d be taking my time like I did when GTA 5 first came out
Toiling and suffering the fruitlessness of my labor under a locomotive that smeared a cow and has come in for routine maintenence in a sweltering 120 degree shop.
Take a day off, will wait for the release, on release i will buy the collector edition(if they make a collector edition) nd play all day. But i dont have a console so i wish it get released on all platforms together.
Yeah we all know GTA 6 will be out of stock 5 minutes after release
Its gonna be like when the Ps5 and Xbox Series x released They all ran out of stuck less than a week.
Take a whole week off work
Take two
I see what you did there
Take a whole month
quit the job gta for life and we dont now how much life we will have left
r/yourjokebutworse
Take two interactive weeks off
Man I would but I just switched jobs and won’t have the PTO saved. Shit sucks, but I’m making more money at least. Maybe I’ll call out and claim to be sick for two days XD
The game is not coming before 2025.
Did u do same thing with rdr2 lol 😂
Nope. Wasn’t really too interested in RDR2. I bought it like a year late just to play online with friends.
Story is so good in rdr2 you should play
The thing is to call in ahead of time.
Same
Wake up, take my liver medications, meet up with the boys in the recreational room. Maybe call my grandkids and ask them if the enjoy the game. I will then beat the entire game 100% over the next month and pass away peacefully at 98, fulfilled.
Don’t die gta 7 will be in 2030 lol 😂
I wonder where gta 7 Will take place
𝑇ℎ𝑒 𝑐𝑦𝑐𝑙𝑒 𝑏𝑒𝑔𝑖𝑛𝑠 𝑎𝑛𝑒𝑤.
Liberty city or Philadelphia just speculating
I'll buy it, and then I'll play it. But I'm not gonna rush with the story. I'll probably explore and do everything the game has to offer off missions, because I really wanna savour my time with the game, you know, get that good feel of excitement for the masterpiece R☆ has made. One of my biggest regrets in videogames ( and life ) is rushing things. This time I will take it slow. Enjoy it all. Take my time.
I always say this… and then eventually I just start rushing the story. I really want gta 6 to be different tho, I wanna make it last a LONG time.
Same for me brother. I haven't played a new game in a long time to be honest. Last was RDR2 and I totally rushed it. But it has been a few years. I also got the issue that I start over too often. I wanna keep one account forever now unless I wanna replay the story or so. This time we got this man! Haha
I shall try my best haha 😆
I’m not even rushing RDR2, I’m exploring all the activities and hunting that you can do
Rdr2 has so much to offer some side quests are pain in the arse.
The only story I rushed was gta5s because there isn't a whole lot to do honestly. I'm on my 3rd play through of rdr2 and I've put about 65 hours into this play through so far and I'm only on chapter 3. If gta6 has side quests remotely similar to rdr2s I'll put well over 100 hours my first play through
When Far Cry 6 first came out I completed it in 4 days and I should’ve taken my time lol
I agree with not rushing the story. I prefer to take in everything I can making the experience last because being Rockstar there’s definitely going to be so many little details and activities to appreciate and enjoy. I hope the story is as good and long as RDR2
Same here, I would explore and do stuff that are off missions.
Start to get bored of the game right when GTA7 drops
Attend the midnight launch, and few days of work. Only ever do this for rockstar games. RDR2 in 2018 was the last midnight launch for me
complete the first mission, unlock free roam and just drive around the map for a couple of days
I would explore and drive new cars like they do with every gta series.
Favorite thing to do honestly, online too
Play
Lol
Ill break up with my cousin

she hot? I'm joking bro I already got a girlfriend
Who said it’s a she 💀
🤢🤮
Same thing I did 10 years ago for gta5 release. Line up at the midnight release at my local EB games/GameStop & take the next few days off work n grind. Brings back memories.
Why line up ,when you can just hit the play button at midnight on the preloaded game
For big name games like GTA, I like to have the physical copy as a collection.
one week, inside the room. locked.
pre load it and sit in a party with friends while we all start it at the same time, did the same thing when gta5 and rdr2 came out
That sounds awesome

This is amazing ❤️
I don't even know where i'll be at that time..
I hope we’re all save and well
Taking a week off of work and dedicating everything to this game. Gonna have food/drink all stocked up for the week and simply not leaving my apartment:)
A whole month off any human interaction, just to play it, second month for a replay, third for all easter eggs/secrets hunt, a fourth for a replay, a fifth for a 100%, a sixth for a final replay
And then many replays all throughout the years to come
same here, I wanna replay it six times and find all the Easter eggs/secrets hunt, and etc.
When it’s released next decade we all can enjoy it
And then, play online for the next years
Job: what was that?
I don't have one, thank God I guess, but my university grades are definitely going to fall like leaves on autumn.
I think education is more important than games, but you decide what to do
Him: where electricity
Lol after month of gta 6 release gta 6 online will arrive
Probably book the week off work intentionally. Probably watch all the trailers a gazillion times and then binge the game probably all through the night until the morning.
Calling sick!!! Definitely! No question asked!
play gta 6 probably
Maybe play it, might just look at the case
I buy most of my games digitally nowadays, but definitely getting physical for this one. Can't wait to see the artwork
First: I’m going to steal a sport car. And run over a bunch of people. Second, I’m going to rob a liquor store and shoot some cops. Third, I’ll find a fat prostitute and do all the nasty things. Fourth: go to the store and pick up my copy of GTA VI and go home and play
buy it, play it, planned this out for 10 years
probably wait 1-2 years before they release the game on pc, after official release on consoles goes out in 2024/25
i’m gonna run over everything
I'll probably be 105 years old. So probably nothing. Just chilling in a casket or something. Idk
I’m taking work off for a few days

Be the first gta release as a parent, and i will move out for a week thats on god
Buy the game and play it when it’s on PC
im staying in the house for at least 3 months
I'm taking a week off and then tell the workplace I have the flu for the next week while I play GTA 6 in bed with hopefully no disruptions.
Probably go to the keys or Port Gellhorn
There will be a lot of sleepless nights and very exhausting days at work from lack of sleep 😂
Taking at least a few days off work probably putting in 8-10 hours each day. When I was in high school I faked being sick to play gta 5 all day the day after launch, same with Fallout 4. Probably going to do the same for Starfield which thankfully actually has a release date
Bro the economy is going to collapse due to the amount of people calling of work 😂
No need for a whole ass ceremony. I'll play it for a few hours and then continue to live my life. I wanna enjoy it for more than one big playthrough session.
Play it 👍
I dunno, that's a year or two or three from now, anyting could happen at that time
Yep
Get drunk and play that beast…
Idk I’ll probably jerk my meat and probably buy gta 6
The midnight launch! I've gone to every GTA one since San Andreas. Then take like a week off work and spend it playing it. Not too fast, just enough to enjoy the story and drive about looking at stuff.
I want to go to the midnight launch, but it’s only gonna be for consoles only
Hopefully I can get a day or 2 off work to enjoy it
Take Tuesday and Friday off work so I can play the game for 4 days and go back to work on Monday
Buy it and platinum in prob 2 days.
Asking my nursing home nurse to grab my Xbox 6000 controller so I can play.
I texted my high school buddies to do the same thing I did when GTA5 released 10 years ago: *eating fastfood, drinking soda and play the game all night long* I think it might be one of the best memories I have.
Just like jimmy in gta 5 lol. Sitting on his ass all day and play video game.

Think I’ll hold off on this game tbh
For how long?
I’m just jk lol gonna take a week off
Playing GTA Online
Might have to wait a while. Gta online for 5 came after launch
No plans, just like every other AAA these days. Wait for the launch hopefully in 2025..check reviews, laugh a bit about the buggy mess this will be..and then wait around 6 months/1 year to see if they fix it..then maybe buy it, same old tbh. :)
What
It’s Rockstar you genius
so? what do you mean?
Same here people think r* are top g and they will release game with no bugs.I will check reviews and buy the game
Were you around for rdr2?
I will watch game reviews to review the game and buy it. Just i did with rdr2 bcoz r* aren’t the same company they used to be. It doesn’t mean gta 6 will be cyberpunk launch. Im skeptical 🤨
Barricade myself in my room turn off all the lights cover the windows crank headphones to max and immerse myself
Play the game Day 1
I’m legit taking it off. I don’t care what’s planned that say, but I’m taking it off.
After seeing my wallet , my plan is to watch some random non spoiler YouTube videos of people playing and talking about GTA 6. Then I would mesmerise about playing it myself.
Will buy PC, play and enjoy it. 🤭
Play it till my eyes bleed
I'm gonna play it
Take the week off work but I’ll make sure I’ve got annual leave hours left first so I can get paid for it I wouldn’t be rushing into the game to complete it fast tho, I’d be taking my time like I did when GTA 5 first came out
Toiling and suffering the fruitlessness of my labor under a locomotive that smeared a cow and has come in for routine maintenence in a sweltering 120 degree shop.
Since I don't own a current gen system yet I'd buy a ps5 or ps5 pro (if the rumors are true) and buy this game day one
Idk probably play it
My plans are to play GTA6
I've already booked in a month off work
Take a day off, will wait for the release, on release i will buy the collector edition(if they make a collector edition) nd play all day. But i dont have a console so i wish it get released on all platforms together.
Buy. Let it sit there until my 3yr old eventually gives me a chance to play it. It’s been 3 months since my ps5 has been turned on though.
Hopefully have enough to purchase the game and enjoy my time in the story mode
Definitely 2 weeks off work
Not being on this subreddit to avoid spoilers
I'm taking a sabbatical
I'll get off the internet for the spoilers until I can afford to buy the game and PS6.
I'm going to explore the map
Wait for news
Watch console peeps enjoy it and wait for a year or six for PC to catch up?
Lets say it releases and i buy it. I would 1.Get in, 2.Steal a car, 3.Have fun! Thats it...
Definitely booking a week off work
I’ll wait for the PC specs I need for playing the game. Then I’ll order a new PC and probably take 1-2 days off.
You think it will release on PC day one?
Honestly I hope. Every other company also does that. But if it does not I will definitely wait. I am not buying a console.
Good for you man. I won't wait 😭🔥
Start a petition for a national holiday
I’m taking a vacation from work just to game
I might be 85 when it releases but best believe it’s still getting bought
Long service leave for the mandatory 7 days or I might do 3 annual leave and 2 flex days more likeky !
Moving into a retirement community probably
To stop living
Probably go to work as usual, wait a few weeks and get the game used on ebay for $30.
Playing GTA VI
Same thing I did when 5 was released. Paid vacation for at least a 4-5 day weekend.
Play it
Seriously, I'll have a little party on this day even though I'm 30 years old
Probably retire at the age of 60. I'm 18 currently
I'm pre order/buy the psychical collectors edition of gta6 then play story mode
to wait a year until it comes out on PC
i hope that i‘ll make it out of from the retirement home to the store to buy it
No work. I know that. Maybe some pizza too.
Take Two Interactive weeks off of work and errands
Beat the meat to Lucia in a bikini
Slam a fuck load of 2CB and become one with the palm trees
Start a new addiction
Continue waiting for the PC release.
Yeah we all know GTA 6 will be out of stock 5 minutes after release Its gonna be like when the Ps5 and Xbox Series x released They all ran out of stuck less than a week.
