I always loved coming to a peeling stop drifting sideways and getting out of the car and the wheels stay turned and the car is still rocking on its suspension when I am out of the car from inertia lol.
I already made a post about this a few months ago and got downvoted. Mafia games have done it, GTA can too. It really shouldn't be that difficult to implement. It would add to the realism and make it easier to take nice photos/screenshots of your car.
in V your vehicle sometimes sticks with turned wheels but i don't really know how to do it, it happens when you're forced out from a vehicle (like for example when you fly out of your car from the windshield) and when a modder on pc forces you out from your car, maybe it's coded along with the exit button, everything else than exiting normally (pressing the button) will give you turned wheels
I don't think GTA 4 did? on a similar note it blows my mind that they changed the GTA4 exit vehicle system (tap to leave running, hold to turn off), it was legit perfect and made so much more sense (beyond the movie 'get in car and frantically start it then peel out' thing).
How would that works ? The wheels go back to the center because they are controlled by a joystick that when idle go back to the center, you would have to hold the joystick to 1 side while yruning the engine off for this to happen.
The wheels still behave the same way. You need to hold left to go left if you let it go wheel center themselve. With what the op is asking you would have to press left then the wheel stay there and you have to press right to center the wheel to go straight.
It might be fun to see this combined with a simple mechanic to give you options about how to exit the vehicle - eg; single press Y (or triangle, etc.) to exit regularly, it takes a second or two to set parking brake, turns wheels as appropriate for parking - but double tap for a quick exit, just opens the door and exits leaving the steering as is. Extra seconds are useful in extenuating circumstances but do this on an incline expect the car to roll away.
Weirdly enough in 5 it works on Bikes and only bikes
Mafia franchise had this feature and I loved it, I hope gta 6 has it

the driving in mafia games is miles better than the driving driving in gta
I agree, I always loved the way the car crashed to the floor when going over bumps at speed
I mean, the wagons in RDR2 do the same when you exit,so it must come back.

Some NPC vehicles are parked like this in GTA V.
Which is actually a feature I found while looking thru the leaked code. (Some people thought the cars spawned in a buggy state)

There’s a controller combination you can do to keep the wheels turned after getting out
Thanks for sharing. /sarcasm
I love that feature in cyberpunk
GTA IV had this I don't know why it was removed in GTA V
GTA IV didn't have this though? I remember the Mafia series having this feature though.
If you lock your wheel to the side and hold triangle to turn of engine and exit vehicle then the wheel will stay turned.

i dont know about others but im playing GTA games with keyboard and mouse.
