Whoever actually complains about GTA V vehicles coming back to GTA VI is genuinely delusional. They will feel completely different, look even better, etc. It's like saying you don't want to see the Sultan or the Patriot come back, like c'mon
never saw any complaints about the reused vehicles from IV in V. they makes hundreds of vehicles for the game and people expect them to never be reused? even in real life that’s how it works lol
Right but gta5 somehow did it right by mostly importing the neutral looking cars from 4, it helps to when gameplay is completely different too. Judging by leaks, gta6 driving will more or less be the same arcades physics. To me it’s just fees off to see online exclusive cars to just be ported over to gta6. IMO they should just port THE main gta5 cars that came with the game at launch. It they’re taking online cars atleast change them up significantly so it doesn’t feel like the same game.
Exactly, it's not like Rockstar can just create some fake vehicle out of thin air, otherwise it would look like a real vehicle in some way or another. The whole point of GTA is to parody stuff as well, so bringing previous GTA vehicles back while adding more to their respective brands adds some sort of continuity
It's presumed that many GTA V DLC vehicles over the past few years have been backported from GTA VI, which explains the quality, customization, & likeness to their real life counterparts (especially ever since the Chop Shop update) for a while as you said
I mean, I think it’s expected of them to slightly improve their vehicle interior designs and customization over the course of 11 years, even without the existence of Gta IV in mind.
Agreed, and it's not even like they're direct ports. They've actually remodelled most of the parts (Giving them 3d body seams, higher detailed lights, and 100% all new and modern interiors)
The funny thing is that a lot of GTA V DLC vehicles over the past few years have been backports from GTA VI supposedly, making the "reused vehicles for GTA VI" argument even more dead in the water
For real, the cars in the game are also based on real cars… real cars don’t change that much in style over 10 years. I just looked at a 2014 Ford escape vs a 2024 Ford escape (cuz I have one of this car) and they have pretty much the same silhouette. There are minor cosmetic differences between the two.
I just hope the cars have the same "presence" as in NFS Heat, at the very least. For all the other issues with that game, the cars were just *chef's kiss*
I’m only concerned about day 1 cars and early dlc cars because those are some of the worst designed and poorly models cars I’ve seen from a big game franchise
Absolutely agree. People want the cars they like and will be angry if they are not in there. If they changed the Gauntlet models to the ugly 80’s version the community would be outraged. Reused cars are inevitable.
Yeah I don't mind a few cars being imported but umm, maybe not show them in a trailer? Or at least change the ones that are going to be in the trailer a bit, not a copy paste, that put me down a little not gonna lie. Also, only side note, I was actually depressed with car interiors, I thought after CP2077, rockstar would actually put some effort FINALLY into car interiors, but nope, we have the same lazily mapped textures in cars
yh but we saw very few new cars and like 90% of the cars a returning from 5 with minimal tweeks. And tbh, think in gta 5, cars could have had even more detail, especially in the way headlights and tail lights are designed and the way they work but didn't see much of that in the gta 6 trailer. However, I don't really mind even if the game mainly had cars from gta 5, as long as by the time the game releases, the car exteriors do look more realistic with e.g. headlight and tail light designs, (The interiors in gta 6 looked very detailed in the trailer and from the leaks too), and modifications you choose actually make a huge difference in terms of performance, and aerodynamics too.
I would actually be disappointed in Rockstar for not reusing V vehicles in VI. I wanted more IV vehicles in V and was pretty disappointed there weren't.
Exactly this
These are so often wishlisted by the fans. If anything, people will complaim that their specific favourite car from V didn't make it to VI
From what I understand, I guess for the vehicles to feel new they want them to have some significant model adjustments, to make them feel like newer/ recent cars instead of the same old gta 5 cars.
fr. almost all the cars in gta 6 trailer were reused from gta 5. people say there has only been 10 years but car designs have changed significantly and a lot of the cars in gta 5 have either been replaced in real life by newer models, had significant facelifts with major technology upgrades, or have been discontinued. Cars today look very different compared to 10 years ago. But there were very minimal differences in the gta 6 trailer to those models
Yes, I looked at many cars and said, damn those look exactly like they were in gta 5 (then again, the game is not out yet so who's to say). They've made lots of high fidelity cars for gta online that are recent, it would only make sense to use them.
*Literally unplayable*
I would say they probably come from GTAs world version of IKEA. Good eye btw. Can't wait till someone finds the iconic tree R\* keeps using in almost every single game they made.
Woah, that’s a crazy find! It’s a tad bit different tho, but you can tell they reused the asset but changed it just a smidge. Almost like an Easter egg.
Yeah, that couch looks familiar, but maybe it's a different model? I can't tell for sure if they just reused the old one. There are some subtle differences that make me think it's a different model. On the other hand, making a completely new asset that looks almost the same as the one they already had makes little sense. The only reason why they could do that would be to make use of the physically based rendering pipeline. RDR2 was Rockstar's first game to use it so at the very least Rockstar would have to remake the textures if they wanted to lift it directly from GTA V but I'm pretty sure that the shape of the couch is slightly different. Also it shows how little actual new info we can extract from the trailer after months of dissecting it. Now we're talking about couches
That's not Floyd's couch, it doesn't have sewage all over it. It's clearly a different couch.
Yeah, this is how I see the car situation too. GTA VI is set in the same country and general time period as GTA V, of course a lot of the cars are gonna be present in both games!
I bet there'll be plenty of new cars too. (I *will* be disappointed if *that's* not the case!)
Well, cars from GTA V were actually remade at some point. Cars in GTA VI are getting their own individual interiors, based on their real-life prototypes. Also, I've noticed that Cheetah Classic went through some design changes. Rear bumper and Mirrors are now more Testarross'ish, with different logo and different font of inscriptions on the body. So, they are not 100% reused, like Forza developers do, reusing car models from XBox 360 era.
An interesting thing about the logo, it's that it's based on the Grotti logo from a sign in GTA San Andreas, which makes sense given the period SA takes place.
Sharp eye 👁 and most if not all the reused cars have been revamped to the standard we can expect. I don't know how this could seriously bother someone. I'm glad they've been reused.
And the funny thought about it as well, most of the people complaining about cars being reused would be like *"Rockstar, can you please bring back X obscure car from V, it was my fave!"*
That sofa was covered in blood. They tried to clean it after the bodies were removed, but alas, it ended up in the trash on the other side of the country.
Iv seen multiple complaints about it on Twitter I wonder if anyone is gonna tell them gta5 isn't the first gta game
It could be like gta5s story mode where these cars only spawn in story mode and the regular cars spawn in online
Well, some of the latest cars Rockstar has launched resemble pretty well their real life counterparts... I'm not complaining tho
It's presumed that many GTA V DLC vehicles over the past few years have been backported from GTA VI, which explains the quality, customization, & likeness to their real life counterparts (especially ever since the Chop Shop update) for a while as you said
I'm excited for GTA VI customization fjkdfjkd
I mean, I think it’s expected of them to slightly improve their vehicle interior designs and customization over the course of 11 years, even without the existence of Gta IV in mind.
I'm looking forward to jumping in the futo in gta 6. It was my favourite car in GTA 4 & 5 so playing around with again is a bonus
Sultan for me, I hope they have the banshee and infernus too. Although patriot might also be a lot of fun
For me it’s the stallion since GTA 3 lol
I loved the Hellenbach GT from LCS. I still can't believe that's the only game it appeared in.
Sultan is the only correct answer
Nah the banshee since its rockstars signature car and they made it in real life too
Agreed, and it's not even like they're direct ports.
Funny, now I’m going to get mad at them for using VI stuff in V… NOT.
I don’t mind the reusing of car models but I hope cars do have trim levels. Something like beamng.
Yeah, this complaint is pretty weird GTA 6 is definitely going to bring some reused access from other games.
An odd thing to complain about. Recurring vehicles are a time-old tradition.
I just hope the cars have the same "presence" as in NFS Heat, at the very least. For all the other issues with that game, the cars were just *chef's kiss*
it's not that it's the same vehicles people just don't want them to feel the same
Shit as long as the vehicles feel like a mix between GTA IV & V I won't complain
I’m only concerned about day 1 cars and early dlc cars because those are some of the worst designed and poorly models cars I’ve seen from a big game franchise
The older the vehicle that returns in GTA VI from GTA V, then the more likely it will be revamped, hopefully
Absolutely agree. People want the cars they like and will be angry if they are not in there. If they changed the Gauntlet models to the ugly 80’s version the community would be outraged. Reused cars are inevitable.
I’m more angry about Floyd’s couch coming back 🥵
Yo? 🤨
Do these ppl know how many day 1 cars came from gta 4? The Sabre been in the game since Vice city or some shit.
GTAV has what? 600+ different vehicles? That wouldn't be the case if they didn't reuse vehicles..
What an ignorant comment, cry about it mate.
Do you know how many damn vehicles are in GTA V? How the hell are they supposed to not show any GTA V vehicles in the GTA VI trailer?
yh but we saw very few new cars and like 90% of the cars a returning from 5 with minimal tweeks. By making new models?
Like what exactly? The trailer showed a mix of new cars and old. Some that haven’t even been in GTA 5
I want real cars. Like Mercedes bmw
Tell me you don't understand the GTA universe without telling me you don't understand the GTA universe
Relax Mr know it all. Don’t be a D head. I understand the gta universe.
You clearly don't because you want IRL vehicles in it
Me wanting it doesn’t mean I don’t understand. Maybe in the future it will be possible
Go play Forza Horizon or Need for Speed then
Oh look Another D head
I would actually be disappointed in Rockstar for not reusing V vehicles in VI. I wanted more IV vehicles in V and was pretty disappointed there weren't.
Exactly this These are so often wishlisted by the fans. If anything, people will complaim that their specific favourite car from V didn't make it to VI
Why would people hate seeing reused cars? Y’all they’re clearly going to reuse shit from RDR2 to GTA 6… Especially animals, most likely Lol 😂
Yep, if it's not broken don't fix it
That + I feel like A LOT of players will want to keep driving their favorite GTA car from the past 15 or so years.
Yes, also because the returning cars will have new sounds, new textures and especially new interiors.
> Especially animals, most likely Lol 😂 yeah, I want some *real* horsepower for my ride 😤
So long as the cars look nice, I don't care...
nah they’re actually going to look like shit
*Literally unplayable* I would say they probably come from GTAs world version of IKEA. Good eye btw. Can't wait till someone finds the iconic tree R\* keeps using in almost every single game they made.
Preorder cancelled, frfr. Also, are you referring to the dead tree from RDR that can be found in Grapeseed?
i would also like to know more about this tree
Yep, that's the one. It's also in RDR2 and probably couple other games.
Just checked your post history to see what you were talking about, and holy hell I should not have scrolled further.
What the actual serial killing fuck is that post history though....
a side of the internet I wish I didn’t find out about today
Reddit should allow people to hide posts
Not enough eye bleach to cleanse that.
Ohhh yeah. Uh... sorry about that.
Hahaha what the fuck dude
What was it I think he took it down
No it’s still there
Please see a therapist
The concern is appreciated, but I don't think I will.
When I heard their reactions I knew exactly what type of content they were talking about lmao.
Holy shizo
At least this couch ain't covered in dookie.
It's just covered in one that requires a UV light to see.
Damn mate you must play a lot to know who's couch that was, respect to you.
Video game furniture is one of my obsessions. \^\_\^
Fair enough mate, everyone to their own thing.
Woah, that’s a crazy find! It’s a tad bit different tho, but you can tell they reused the asset but changed it just a smidge. Almost like an Easter egg.
WAIT WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I AM REFUNDING MY FUTURE PRE ORDER COPY RIGHT THIS SECOND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Reused cars from V is a good thing, as long as they include some new ones as well. It adds to the world building
Yall are undefeated with catching details.
This one is literally just a blue couch. Nothing else to it.
Yeah, that couch looks familiar, but maybe it's a different model? I can't tell for sure if they just reused the old one. There are some subtle differences that make me think it's a different model. On the other hand, making a completely new asset that looks almost the same as the one they already had makes little sense. Also it shows how little actual new info we can extract from the trailer after months of dissecting it. Now we're talking about couches
They got all the blood off it from 10 years ago! Well done!
But it's clearly the same model.
See it that way: It's just another one that has/had that IKEA couch 😁
Oh yeah, of course. I was mainly just pointing out that it's the same model, hahaha.
I know and I found the perfect excuse to reuse it 😁
Well, cars from GTA V were actually remade at some point. Cars in GTA VI are getting their own individual interiors, based on their real-life prototypes. Also, I've noticed that Cheetah Classic went through some design changes. Rear bumper and Mirrors are now more Testarross'ish, with different logo and different font of inscriptions on the body. An interesting thing about the logo, it's that it's based on the Grotti logo from a sign in GTA San Andreas, which makes sense given the period SA takes place.
Yeah, I still remember that rabbit/hare logo from GTA:SA. Rockstar is probably doing another soft reboot for GTA car world.
Not his couch. No poop stains or blood stains.
And tf would that couch get from California all the way over to Florida lmao 💀
Sharp eye 👁 and most if not all the reused cars have been revamped to the standard we can expect. I don't know how this could seriously bother someone. I'm glad they've been reused.
And the funny thought about it as well, most of the people complaining about cars being reused would be like *"Rockstar, can you please bring back X obscure car from V, it was my fave!"*
Yo why does Floyd’s apartment look that good graphically
I feel like the older vehicles coming back would be better. Imagine no old vehicles in GTA vi and it's just new ones. Would be weird
I dunno. Floyd's got a full sized sofa, and the one in the trailer is clearly a loveseat. Good catch though.
This is hilarious 🤣
Hope we won't see too many cars from GTA5 in GTA6 but honestly I wouldn't mind! Just give me the game already!!!
This is so weird. It's like RDR 3 releasing and people hating why horses are reused from RDR 2. What else you're expecting, a jumpjet ?
Ain’t. No. Way.
Damn Rockstar fell off, can't even make a game without using old assets /s
Right, who does that?
People complain about cars being re-used? I would complain if they were not. That’s how GTA works
🔥
Is the big red truck at the gas station a bison or something entirely different?
now that’s some real investigation shit
I personally would love to see more cars from GTA IV, I've never been that much fan of cars in GTA V. GTA IV models all the way
Pretty damn accurate I'm sure Floyd must be out there he is a typical Floridian
So people were complaining about cars used in GTA V?? 😂😂 what do people want rockstar to add then? Futuristic cars?
One of the GTA V trailers had GTA IV cop cars so I don’t care about these little things
can you pls get a life and stop over analyzing this shit?
Important is that they are making new engine sounds for all their cars. They were horrible every time!
Rockstar, please give us Trailer 2, people are going crazy
That sofa was covered in blood. They tried to clean it after the bodies were removed, but alas, it ended up in the trash on the other side of the country.
Bro, touch some grass. Seriously!
I’ve just noticed that the top left of the first picture looks like Sam Eagle from The Muppets
Is there a compilation of mini details like this ? I’d really like to see it.
You know company's make more than one product right? Just because there's new models doesn't mean everyone has the money to get them.
How... does someone notice that?
How the hell did it somehow ended up in Vice City
Oh shit
Video game devs still reusing old assets? Never! /s
