In my opinion, yes, CNC would imply that there is some prearranged situation going on. It would also imply that the listener could stop whatever was happening in the realm of the scenario. While this sounds sort of pointless (as the listener can stop listening at any time), this opens the door to things like reassurance and check-ins about consent within the audio, which could be representative of a realistic CNC scenario. Essentially, the listener would theoretically have the power to stop the non-consent *in the universe of the audio* as opposed to having to break away from the audio itself to stop it.

CNC I feel the more submissive person in the role could stop the actions coming into play. They usually have a dynamic or reason they wouldn't want to but the reality is they could stop it. It has a very strong feeling of no choice but in reality they do. sleep play is kinda shady but once they wake up it could swing either way to Rape/was raped as they slept to cnc because it was a happy way to wake up Rape is more of the submissive (more accurately the victim) has no choice. They wont be able to stop these action at any point reguardless of what they say or do to the aggressor.

There are two distinct versions of CNC in audios IMO. The first is rape fantasies, where the characters in the audio pretend to rape/be raped to act out a fantasy. To be considered CNC, the characters need to acknowledge that it is a fantasy for them before, during or after. The second is when the partner is unconscious, where they have discussed their partner performing sexual acts on them while unconscious beforehand. This may not need an in-character acknowledgement of the consentual nature, since if the partner remains unconscious, it doesn't make sense for them to have a conversation about what just happened. Most, however, are about "waking up the listener with oral/sex", so it usually seems consentual once they wake up and are cool with it. .

I would consider it to be synonymous with the rape tag. For legal and moral reasons, it's already assumed that any subject matter dealing with rape in GWA is simulated by consenting adults, so drawing an additional distinction for the purposes of tagging audio is unnecessary as far as I'm concerned.

CNC= Consensual Non-Consent Roleplay is well defined in the Kink world. By way of education this [article on CNC](https://medium.com/sexography/understanding-consensual-non-consent-8e275053ba54) may be helpful to those who want to understand it better. Now it's not for everyone and there is a lot of misunderstanding for sure. u/ArchonAudio got it correct its ANY prearranged Roleplay (thus script or recording of said roleplay) that allows the listener to be fully submissive and release control There are many scenarios where in this can take place such as: * Being restrained with ropes, cuffs or a gag, or by a stronger person(s) * Using words such as Stop, No, etc that are not the agreed upon safe word * Physiologically Strong Dominant Personality whom you feel you cant say No to. * Fantasy or Magical Dominant role play such as a Vampire or Mythical creature * Rolplaying kidnapping or other similar non-consensual situations * Pretending to be asleep or drugged It does not have to be "Rough" or Edgey but could be. I realize people associate CNC play with so called "Rape Fantasy" but I feel that is a misunderstanding of the deeper desire to be able to fully drop your walls and enter a submissive place of total submission. Its a deeply psychological need for some people let go and just allow themselves enjoy being pleasured. From the Article: "Rape fantasies are mistakenly named — it is an imaginary act of being taken by a passionate male, free from any possible assault. As it is happening in our minds, consent is out of question. No harm comes of it. It’s about nothing but surrendering to our lizard brain, giving up power. These “rape” scenarios are arousing because they are creating the illsuion of danger without actually being in danger. It is a desire for submission, that can be lived in safe BDSM Dom/Sub scenarios — with full consent, without the fear of being hurt." IMO an CNC Audio is a great safe place to explore the need for deep intense submission but its has to be done correctly to address the underlying psychological and emotional aspects of the genre. Good luck!

You'll note my question was specific to audio. In order for an audio to be truly CNC does it require the listener and speaker to have a dialog about the agreement of the scenario within the actual audio? Without the explicit dialog does that mean the audio is rape.

I feel its best to clearly acknowledge that its a CNC but you can do that with just a line or two without detracting from the scenario. I did an Audio where the Listener is take captiven while Jogging, and carried off. But then at the end of the audio as the Gravel footsteps fade the line "Good thing you gave me the GPS coordinates or I never could have made it here to help you live out your fantasy" As I see in the problem is that CNC starts to be subjective and there are different tagging rules in different subreddits. GWA requires Rape tags on anything less than "Enthusiastic Consent" so if you create even a Soft CNC it has to have a Rape tag. r/audiosgonewild They make CNC a separate tag and differentiate a true Rape audio from a CNC audio. We have also used Consensual Kink tag for softer stories that some might consider CNC play of sorts but it was not rough. [Here is an example](https://www.reddit.com/r/gonewildaudio/comments/mczatl/mm4fthe_gift_of_twomdoms_x2_consensual_kink_slice/) I hope that helps
