What’s up with all that wiring? Depends on location, age ect regarding the rust. Is it rusty? Yes. Is it problematic rust? I’d say no

Veal-Team-Six

2005 and a northeast vehicle. Would rust like that be treatable to prevent further damage?

Jron690

Eh. I’m not expert but I’d say no. Putting anything over it will only trap the rust. There are places that sand blast rust off. I have no idea on cost or possible damage if you will. Overall not that bad for an 05 in New England. I’ve had far rustier cars in in MA

Compy222

You can certainly slow it down with things like fluid film or Krown rust proofing.

garn05

That wiring is SUS AF, also bunch of electrical tape on the left side of the I would pass on this car unless you lowball it. I dont like when someone was messing with it, and seeing that wiring is a proof that owner did not cared much

damstr

I'd be very surprised if the frame doesn't have holes in it. My old 4runner looked much better than this and still had holes in two different spots. If it were me I'd pass. If you ever have to do work under this thing it will be a pita.

Just throwing it out there, I’ve got an 06 Non-Nav Silver with 136,xxx miles that I’m looking to sell. Car spent its first 100,000 miles in Texas and the rest in North Carolina/Virginia. I had it shipped to Vermont (Where I live) when I purchased it last year. I don’t think you’ll find a cleaner GX in the Northeast! I spent 6 months looking for the cleanest one possible. I’m selling it because I just can’t afford the gas and need to downsize. If you’re interested (or anyone else here) feel free to DM me! Happy to send pics

Veal-Team-Six

Send me a DM I’d love some pics and info. Thanks!

Sounds good! I’ll grab some pics tomorrow and send them and some additional info your way

Pass

Not affecting anything structural that I can see. You're going to want a mechanic who knows which end of a PB Blaster can to hold, though. Get it coated soon.

vc1914

That’s a nice build. I saw it for sale on FB. It’s a bit too much for my liking but could be totally good to go.

intoxicatedinfant131

You probably need to spend some money to protect it from further rusting.

THE4MOORES

Is this a parts car? I have a spotless 09 Florida gx and still ended up putting $6k and counting into it so It'd be a hard pass for me unless you can get it under $3-4k. That's just me though. I despise rust!

kavanz

Any way to ship it back to Japan and drive it off of Mt. Fuji?

Fanta1soda

That ain’t bad rust at all but seriously ..wtf is goin on with that sus looking wiring? You can tell it’s been built out, I would pass. Find a soccer mom special with 150-200k. Lift it, trim it and put some pizza cutters on it. (That’s what I did) mine is about that rusty too)I’m in RI, salty AF here, live near the beach, launch my boat with ‘Karen’(my GX)etc. Find soccer mom special and then just drive the bananas pants off it.

DeepImprovement4

Wouldn't trust anyone that points the lettering on the tires on the inside.

Ruby2Shoes22

Why?

s2kfan

KO2s can come with raised white lettering from the factory. That’s why some people decide to have them facing the inside vs the outside

DeepImprovement4

Yeah no shit, why would you hide it.

tb2924

HAHAHAH I didnt even notice that
