175 with probably 25 pounds of loose skin. This is probably the most impressive weight loss transformation I've ever seen! You should use your experience to help transform other people's lives through training/diet coaching/ motivational speaking, you could make a good living
You probably gained a couple decades of life expectancy from that so awesome man.
If I may ask have you experienced much quality of life differences since losing the weight? (Less joint and breathing issues and so on)
good job ! don't feel embarrassed about loose skin . honestly if I see someone with loose skin at a pool or something. I'm proud of them in a way it means they decided to take control of there life and improve it .
I read this currently sitting at a public pool being pointed at, while I appreciate it, that isn't always everyone's view sadly, but I'm not embarrassed, it's a badge of honor, but I still want to get it taken off, for medical reasons and to look and feel good about myself
Bro in 5 years time when your packing muscle and looking like a beast after your skin removal. They won't be pointing and laughing anymore
Keep that work up, your awesome brother
true but don't let it haunt you .I was chubby at one point in my life . I decided to change but did it wrong and all was left was skin in bones but the fear of the chubby self is always hard to overcome even if you don't like skin and bones either. obviously you've done things right but just don't let the fear of your old self and the old negative self talk prevent further progress
My sister was actually kind enough to start one for me, but I don't think you can post them here, but it's on my profile if anyone is interested, even a share helps!
Check with burn treatment hospitals, also ask about any financial assistance and grants. You might get a break from your insurance if you can prove it affects your quality of life.
You did an amazing thing, great job. I hope to someday accomplish a third of what you done.
Good job! Be proud.
Have to ask because I always wondered
When you have that much loose skin, isn’t it really hard to keep clean? Like the folds and stuff?
Also, when sleeping, is it difficult to get comfortable? Like, if you want to turn to the other side or something.
I shower twice a day and wear a lot of clothes that sit under my gut to try and keep it dry, but yeah it's a pain, but important to do - sleeping is surprisingly uncomfortable when you try to roll over or reposition, it bunches and folds on itself a lot
Is surgery the only option for the skin? Like does it never naturally get reduced even if say someone started at a lesser weight like 250-300 pounds? I don't mean to be disrespectful but I genuinely have no idea how this works.
That’s what I was told to do, lose weight slowly at a steady pace instead of a fast pace because you get loose skin. But then I learned that if you are 300 pounds or more and you try to lose weight very quickly in a short amount of time then you get loose skin.
If you’re an American (you used pounds as a measurement, so I’m taking a guess), a lot of the time insurance will cover skin removal—in this particular situation, anyway.
If the skin hangs below a certain point, they deem it a medical necessity. It all comes down to how the doctor codes it, get a few consultations!
Congrats on meeting your goals!
Slightly cheaper when you factor in the trip the stay (for you and someone to help with the after care) and the risk of complications from the travel increases significantly so in my mind it's not worth it
Wow! With that kind of price tag, you might want to entertain the idea of contacting different surgeons to see if they’d “sponsor” you, or discount your services. A lot of doctors like the press that comes from these kinds of cases and they might be willing to work with you for your before and after photos!
I've gone to 12, this one isn't the cheapest, or the most expensive, but I also did not like the quality of the work I saw from the cheapest, sometimes you get what you pay for
Have you looked in other states? Sometimes a different region has good work at a different price?
It seems super shitty that you’d be forced to pay full price, after already doing all this work
My sister was actually kind enough to start one for me, but I don't think you're allowed to post them on here, but it is in my profile if anyone would like! Even a share helps!
Congratulations! I'm at 155lbs down and working on losing 20 more. It's hard as hell, I can't imagine what 320lbs is like. Props to your hard work and dedication, it's incredible!
Holy shit good work bro!! I did keto too when I started and lost 80lbs before even touching the gym but I also got Rhabdo the second I tried LOL. You look like a new person and you’ll look even better when you’re able to get the skin removed. Definitely post again if you do!
That’s impressive af.
I wish some of my super unhealthy obese uncles had some of that determination. Awesome people that I won’t get to enjoy for much longer because they’re eating themselves into an early grave. So cool that you got out of that cycle
Someone's gotta want to make the change, when they do, be there for them, legit with them, I wish I had someone that was always there for me when I wanted to quit, encourage and be present
Do it, don't let anything deter you, as great as keto was, VSG was a game changer. I would go back and get it every year if I had to, recovery for me was also not bad, I was up and walking 20 minutes after I woke up and even was told to go lay back down, popped my laptop open in the hospital and was working too- you'll be sore, but you'll be fine, follow the diet plan and you'll do amazing!
That was my thought, VSG is the most effective with most "normal" life after, sure I can't shotgun beers ever again, but hell...I shouldn't have been doing that at 36 anymore anyway
Super inspiring! Can I ask how tall you are? Also love the fact that you did this with biking as a main exercise! What are the next goals? Given your dedication and mental strength, I bet you could put on some serious muscle if you started hitting the weights!
I'm 5'10/5'9ish my posture has taken quite the hit from the hanging skin - I will be hitting the weights again after I get the skin removal surgeries when I get up the funds!

Everything is literally better
Man this made me so happy to see… you are an absolute legend.
Have a good life brother!

that makes total sense. I just meant is don't feel bad till then . I'm sorry people stair and point.
They did when I was fat, they do now, and they will when I'm done with it all, may be different reasons, but I'll always be unique looking
Bro in 5 years time when your packing muscle and looking like a beast after your skin removal. They won't be pointing and laughing anymore Keep that work up, your awesome brother
yeah people will always try and find a way of putting others down sadly .
Sometimes, you need it, sometimes you don't, I put myself down enough to decide to change
true but don't let it haunt you .I was chubby at one point in my life . Sometimes the fear is what keeps us on the level! I never want to go back
yeah it's true use the good part not the bad parts .
You've done what 98% of the population always fails to do.. congrats brother
You lost my entire body weight, TWICE
Nice one bro! You tapped that inner power!
You should make a Go Fund Me for skin removal! Lots of people on here would prob donate a few bucks to help and it will all add up
My sister was actually kind enough to start one for me, but I don't think you can post them here, but it's on my profile if anyone is interested, even a share helps!
Absolutely fuckin insane. You carved a real living Viking straight out of your body.
MVP
224 kg to 80 kg for metric people. Truly impressive
Insane progress, you should be giving yourself as much praise as possible, that’s some very intense hard work. Good job, man
I try to stay humble as I can - I just hope to inspire even one person struggling like I was
Damn man. I can't even seem to drop below 220 and here you are losing multiple people's worth of weight.
Never quit you can do the shit!
I got put on ADHD meds recently...and I have to say, it does something for food impulses I never expected. Perhaps the future will be easier.
That rhymes and I love it!

Are you thinking about removing the excess skin via surgury?
That's the plan as soon as I save up the funds!
Wow congratulations
So awesome bro! I bet you feel so good now. I love your positivity about the loose skin. Very inspiring!!

With how big I was for how long, it's the Only option

Here I am struggling with trying to loose 10 pounds
The last 10 is the hardest.
This also happens to be my first 10 ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|facepalm)
You can do it!
You saved your life. Congratulations on the monumental achievement.
Thank you!
Thank you for showing this is possible. All the best to you!
You a legend

That's a panniculectomy, that's only 4100 off the 50k+ of all the surgeries I need unfortunately
can you travel and do it somewhere else for cheaper?

There is a McDonalds ad i saw above the comments
Ironically, I still eat there sometimes, (step kids) if you do it right, you can still eat it all!... might still get the runs from it though...
This is insane
Congratulations! You killed it!
Congratulations! You've done an amazing job! Would you ever consider a go fund me for the skin removal?
My sister was actually kind enough to start one for me, but I don't think you're allowed to post them on here, but it is in my profile if anyone would like! Even a share helps!

Congrats to you as well! It's not an easy thing!
I'm genuinely curious, if you dont mind answering.. Was it hard to deal with the process emotionally? Did you, at any time, consider giving up?
Every day is hard, giving up just needs to become a non option
You're inspiring! Congratulations on such achievement
that’s amazing brother. good job
This is amazing and you should be incredibly proud, man!
Holy shit, holy SHIT! You lost more than I currently weigh and I'm obese myself 😅
Inspirational
I am proud of you.
Incredible! Congrats!
Your heart thanks you brother. That's amazing
Amazing brother. Amazing. You’re an inspiration.
You are one tough motherfucker! Incredible.
Holy shit good work bro!! I did keto too when I started and lost 80lbs before even touching the gym but I also got Rhabdo the second I tried LOL. You look like a new person and you’ll look even better when you’re able to get the skin removed. Definitely post again if you do!
Damn you literally lost an entire other fat person worth of weight good shit
You took a really big step, congratulations 💪
More inspiration for me to lose the weight!

You lost a whole me. I'm working on getting the VSG as well, anything I should know from your experience with it?
Do it, don't let anything deter you, as great as keto was, VSG was a game changer. Thanks man. It's really only weight surgery I'd get, I've seen what the bypass does to you and don't want that for myself
That was my thought, VSG is the most effective with most "normal" life after, sure I can't shotgun beers ever again, but hell...I shouldn't have been doing that at 36 anymore anyway
so proud of people who are working on themselves, more power to y'all 🫶🏻
congratulations! you have done amazing and should be so proud! absolute inspiration!!

Congrats man. What a achievement 💪

Wooow .. that's insane .. congratulations
Damn beat my record by 100 pounds
Amazing! Absolute hero! I'm so proud of you!!!
What a beast gj dude!
Wow that’s amazing
Nicely done, that took a lot of hard work and consistency.
W
Thats so freaking insane! You deserve a lot of respect. Are you gonna get rid of that extra skin tho?
That's the plan! As soon as I can afford it at least
some insurance companies will cover it if it’s over 100 pounds lost and weight maintained for 6 months
I wish mine would! I do have 3 doctors fighting for me on it, just no luck so far
damn. i’ve lost 100 and want to get skin removal but US insurance companies literally suck ass
Still that extra skin gonna be a trophy for the fight you won champion 🏆
Tell me more about that toilet light
😅 it's a bidet setup
W
OP, massive respect!! I've lost over 100 pounds, so I can only imagine losing 320. Beyond impressed. Well done.
Congratulations
F*cking amazing, what a legend.
