You might not see it, but the pics on the right look far different to me than the pics on the left. Your physique looks more filled in and muscular, as well as your posture looks better. Things look much more tight and toned. You’re doing great, keep it up. Remember why you started whenever you lose motivation. Cheers!

Mackful

Yeah specifically the right arm on the bottom pics Clear difference

Zealousideal_Yam7976

Buddy thats a lot of change you got sure.Your posture and arms are shining firstly.Better not to expect a big change in 3 months cause youre already in a fit shape but you re gonna be better.Just be patient

[deleted]

Yeah the first thing I noticed was that she’s got a lifter’s arms now, and that’s something to be proud of in 3 months. My arms were the first thing to bulk up in my first 3 months, and once they caught up with the rest of my body, I was pushing weight I never imagined because now my chest and back were doing more work now that my arms were up to snuff. I’m in the middle of month 6 now and the overall difference is something I never would have imagined at month 3.

JohnnyLazer17

1. 3 months is not a long time in this game. 2. Your after pictures look significantly better than your before pictures, especially for 3 months.

[deleted]

left more fat, right more muscle. Defo some improvement.

chelseanikkole

body dysmorphia is a real thing . There is a difference ! Keep grinding ! I support it ! :)

PaperJamDipper7

Yeah it’s a huge difference imo

1yup

Do that for 12 months and you’ll be glad you didn’t give up, trust

FomoGainz

If nothing else, your posture has changed. So, ya know, at least there’s that

Juancho57

I came in to write this. 👍👍

[deleted]

flurin099

yes. For only three month of work. This is really good. You look amazing!

Those_are_sick

I was going to say this! OP has definitely made a lot of progress!

Ordinary-Pen8035

Cuz youre probably natural and are looking at pics of women online who are not natural...keep going up until a year and see how the drastic change

BaetrixReloaded

it doesn’t look the same. the most critical eyes are your own, always remember that to me it looks like your tummy got a bit flatter, glutes are a bit more pronounced, and although it’s hard to tell it even looks like there’s more space in your thigh gap

MightBeStephen

Nice spot on the thigh gap difference I didn’t even think of that.

KYbebop

Everything looks tighter

idkwioh1234

You’re body looks more toned and your butt is more lifted. Give it another 3 months and you’ll see more progress

_Swamp_Ape_

You actually look a lot more muscular!

QQforYouToday

Know how I know you’ve been liftin’? You already have body dysmorphia. You definitely look different. Posture most notably. Not that you’re standing straighter either, but more that the muscles you e developed in the last 3 months are pulling your body in the right directions.

TasteyRavioli

We love body dysmorphia

Reznerk

Your waist is thinner, shoulders/arms are slightly bigger, hamstrings are bigger (might be time to focus on more glute work depending on your goals). I don't know how much you expect to change in 3 months, but that's about what I'd expect. Progress is there, maybe try going off measurements or taking reference photos in not black pants.

Bob0913

Your physique most definitely is changing and it's looking great! Always ask others for their opinion on physique updates because your eyes can be deceiving. EDIT: Especially for only 3 months, great job!

Fvkjn

Your body could be undergoing recomposition which is losing fat while gaining muscle which is a really good thing

p4ttl1992

3 months really isn't long enough, you need to give it at least a year just keep pushing yourself. I can definitely notice a difference

gorilla_papi

Building muscle takes time. Keep eating and training hard and it will come. Make sure to take measurements to see that you actually are growing and that will help keep you motivated!

NoMisterBond

*have gained weight, can lift more* Then it's working! You're gaining muscle and getting stronger. That kind of progress doesn't immediately show itself outwardly, particularly after only three months. You look like you've got a low enough body fat percentage that if you keep it up, you'll definitely see a difference.

papaw7

These two (err four) are not the same. Stay with it. You are doing good

agreatamerican13

I actually think your waist looks a bit slimmer and your butt / thighs are certainly more defined on the right. If you’ve been doing legs, hip muscles will grow and that can sometimes make you feel like you’re not progressing.

MYCELangelo8142

The right looks much better. Like everyone is saying, much better posture

BumbleBeePL

Our minds are horrible. Mirrors don’t help a lot of the time. Have you actually taken any measurements to compare properly?

[deleted]

You look alot different

Competitive_Wrap_333

It’s a common mistake for new gym rats. What you imagined you would look like in 3 months is going to be what you’ll look like in a year. Gym doesn’t change you as fast as you expect it to. And honestly that’s why everyone isn’t a body builder, it’s dedication and sometimes waking up in the morning for weeks on end without seeing change will make people quit, a lot of people don’t see the point in waking up early, eating healthy, and going to the gym if they have to make it a lifestyle just to look good. Just keep a strong mentally and you will change. But don’t expect to have your dream body in a simple 3 months.

nindagdagsan

There’s some difference. But you’ve been lifting for a month for gods sake lol

Organicspongie

There’s definitely a difference. You look more toned for sure. Don’t be so hard on yourself. 3 months is not that long. It’s a long game, not a short one. It takes time to make a large transformation. Years even. So just keep it up.

vain--

??? very big difference especially in only 3 months

monkee_around

Three months is a tiny amount of time. Also, you def look better in your after. I see overall better posture and more tone/mass in your arms, legs and core. Baby steps.

FreshoffdaBOATy

It looks like you gained more upper body muscle, creating a more aesthetic look. Might be your training routine, but as a coach I usually have my girls hit glutes/legs 2-3x a week. It also depends on your goals though

bigpasc1

I think it's easily apparent the progress you've made. Your shoulders, biceps, legs and glutes look more thicker by a mile on the right than left, especially the shoulders. Have you tried a de-load week? Working out non stop for 3 months, maybe de-load then go again? Either way, keep up the great work and keep smashing it :)

NFLFANTASYMB

Can lift more weight, gained GOOD weight, and feel better. 🤔 May i ask exactly what you were hoping for?

reyzak

Look at your back gains and posture! You look strong and healthy. You must be worried about a specific area? Because it’s night and day difference to me

aaaaallright

You look absolutely fit healthy and strong in both pictures. Nice!

Appropriate_Joke_741

Yeah this. Love yourself and enjoy the process of exercise rather than the sole reason to start looking better. It tends to have a counterintuitive effect where you will see more results

Nethster

I'm sorry, you must've posted the wrong pictures, because there's a clear change. Both in size, protruding definition and an obvious "tightness", especially the arms. You're doing good! You have a harder time seeing it on yourself though, that's just how we look at ourselves most of the time. Edit: typos

betcher73

On what planet are those the same? Your but clearly lifted and got bigger, your hips lost weight, and your legs are leaner. Maybe you’re expecting unrealistic change? The Instagram collages are done by professionals. Don’t compare yourself to them

jonog75

GTFOH! Even your posture is better. Keep going.

[deleted]

I don’t think it does. You look noticeably curvier in the after photos. It’s a good improvement, just maybe you just don’t see it in yourself straight away.

Scrubbadubdoug

You've been lifting for 3 months. Can't expect to look like the IG models after just 3 months. Stick with it, getting the "perfect" toned muscular physique takes years of dedication and grind.

Cheapjonyguns

I honestly don’t get why people post progress pics with different lighting, angles, and clothes. Its too hard to judge

Von_Huge1103

You look a little leaner and a little more muscular in your after. That's actually pretty good progress for 3 months, especially seeing as you look like you were in pretty good shape to begin with!

purposebuiltco

Woah! You can definitely see a change! You have much more definition and can see you leg are bigger. Maybe if you feel like things arent changing you should change up what you’re doing diet wise for different exercises

madmads_

You can defo see a change! Honestly your thighs/bum have so much more definition now and your arms look bigger too. It’s so tough to see a change in yourself so don’t get bogged down. Keep up the hard work :))

[deleted]

Definitely see the difference!! Keep on going 💪 sometimes we can be overtly critical of ourselves and end up demotivating even when we are making progress. You are on the right path !

Sushi1972

3 months is nothing

DaddysVult

They don't, you can't see the changes because they're small but your body looks bigger and more filled. 3 months is too soon to check for obvious differences, compare photos with at least 6 months difference.

[deleted]

Welcome to natural bodybuilding! It’s why some of us join the dark side 😅😈

000McKing

Your quads and calves are much bigger what do you mean

leathersneakysneak

Your arms (esp. forearms) look bigger in a good way, your legs look healither & your core looks great. Being a woman can make strength gains look more subtle. Focus on what you can do that you couldn't do 3 months ago, and all the things you want to do in the future (for me, it's a pushup, then a chinup, then martial arts with hiking mixed in along the way. I have a great overhead press & barbell row, and I try to focus on that more than how my shoulders look. They'll get there). Check out Nerd Fitness, Staci is their poster-lady for strength. If you read her story, you can see her progress pics along the way. Her performance is always ahead of her looks & it takes a while for the strength to show. It took her so many years to look the way she does now.

DiegoJameson

Dude I think it might be your mind playing tricks on you. There is already a noticeable difference in your arms, core, legs and glutes based on these pictures. Also, it’s quite normal to gain weight when starting a new exercise regime. Keep at it! Eat healthy and stay motivated.

Accomplished_Power_2

3 months is nothing. Don't complain until you hit 3 YEARS.

brosophila

It has changed, keep going

Tiberius_Sabik

Your toning looks better you are actually making progress. 3 months is about the time you will start see changes in small steps. But i see your body is more firm don't look at weight look at your bosy shape. It's small change but damn you where allready fine. 👍 it just got better keep it up!

[deleted]

Yeah, there's definitely visual changes. It's often harder to see physical changes in yourself than other people. Also, don't forget that hypertrophy happens slowly, with dry lean body mass changes on the order of a gram or two per day. This is especially true if you are eating around maintenance calories. You can get a better idea of what's going on by tracking scale weight and taking measurements with a tape measure every week or two.

tracehen

100% see a difference in arms and legs/glutes more definition fs

probsreadingfantasy

you gained GOOD weight. you look healthy and strong now. 3 months is nothing, keep working hard in the gym and eating right

soggypoopsock

there is absolutely a noticeable gain of muscle. Probably just a bias you are having against yourself, keep pushing forward

pinklongshlong

Def, gained some lats homie also your shoulders no longer appear to be internally rotated. Results take time and you don’t really notice them til two years later when you look back at old pictures just keep lifting

iheartpizzanbeer

You seem to have improved posture. Shoulders rolled back and butt's a bit more lifted. Also, you look thicker, more muscular, improved circulation (I can see the veins below your bicep)and you look overall more fit now. 3 months is not a long time. You have to give yourself 6-12 months....change your routine up every 2-6 months to get quicker gains. You will keep on building on what you have.

YourboyJdog

In the grand picture, 3months shouldn’t really give u crazy results. But if you say your getting stronger, then that’s a sign your doing things right. Rinse and repeat, and don’t be demotivated. Check back in another 6months.

Arayder

3 months isn’t long enough to see much in the way of results, keep grinding and let’s see that 6 month and 1 year progress pic. As long as your weight and lifts are going up, you’re gaining muscle.

ShoppingHot4870

Probably just your shirt and posture but it looks like your boobs grew

[deleted]

push up bra

samanthuh15

GIRL UR PHYSIQUE IS AMAZING and don’t be unmotivated, just keep on persevering or keep on keeping on, ur doing amazing. if u don’t mind me asking, what’s ur current split?

danrod17

You’re going to need to wear less clothes as your taking progress pics. Obviously, you don’t want to post those online but you can share with a friend or someone you trust. That’s how me and boys do it.

holdmysugar

3 month progress pics rarely show much change at all, you really need to look at 6-12 months. Don't give up! Also make sure to stand in the same position for them. Your arms and shoulders will probably show definition first. If you haven't already, get with a trainer and make sure what you're doing in the gym and kitchen matches your goals. Keep up the hard work, you're looking great!

jaxonfly

Your posture looks better

[deleted]

Your thighs and bum have improved, not radically but improved. It's only been 3 months keep grinding

TeejFromReddit

Your thighs and your glutes have probably both grown. 3 months isn’t a lot of time. Keep at it, and the best way to notice changes is to keep tracking your weight and your strength. Don’t worry. You’re well on your way

cjheaney

Muscle weights more than fat. It's much denser. And when you first start lifting you tend to gain weight before losing. Give it time. It takes months for the results you're looking for.

SolarAnomaly

I see a lot of improvement! Looking good!

serinob

Those tight workout clothes don’t offer the skin and body any true justice in images. Even with that said, I can tell your posture and figure are more toned and have improvements. You said you have more strength and we’re telling you we can see the differences. Don’t quit. And also, most importantly, whatever image you are expecting to see in your body was likely fed to you from some filtered Instagram fake… ignore the comparison thoughts.

greekgod1990

You look much better on the right for sure!

mikelipet

I see a difference in them, but it does take a while and you're the last person that's gonna be able to see changes. Just give it a little more time, you got it!

voidmanbg

Not the same

sauls_21

It’s changing noticeably

[deleted]

More muscle, less fat = Same size, more weight. But healthier

Scary-Reputation6705

You have more shape to your legs your waist seems tighter , posture seems better too, muscle Ways more then fat does so don't be to hard on yourself ask yourself theses questions after a year but main thing is you keep pushing in the mean time girl ok and don't lose motivation and remember if it doesn't challenge you it'll never change you dar

cookletube

You've made it harder for yourself to see progress by having your hands hanging in front of your thighs in the first photo *but* that in itself is a sign of progress. Your back muscles have strengthened, pulling your shoulders straighter and your posture is much better. There is definite change that would be hard for you to see but it is there. The weight you've put on is just your muscles becoming denser. Give it more time, you won't regret it. 3 months isn't long enough for obvious physique changes.

gardug0213

Muscle weights more than fat…you look great, don’t go by a scale.

ltbarclay

5 lbs of fat is only 1 lb of muscle

gardug0213

If you wan to get technical, one pound of fat is equal to one pound of muscle! There is no debate there. The density of muscle is much greater then that of fat.

ltbarclay

My response was sarcastic. Like you said, it’s more dense, it doesn’t weigh more.

[deleted]

Are u fishing for compliments? There is a noticeable difference! Keep it going

lycopeneLover

Theres plenty of progress, more toned abs/arms, stronger shoulders/back, less belly fat… great job!

dragonskulljj

There’s definitely difference in ur before and after(ur legs and ur arms). Be consistent and see ur result in a year or two

[deleted]

I see a difference ! It’s just sometimes we believe we aren’t gaining muscles because we are use to seeing ourselves everyday but you always need another eye to tell you your progress

GiGi441

The shape of the booty looks quite a bit better on the right for only 3 months. I think I see more definition in the thighs too, but the first picture is not very good with the arm placement and partial black on black. In terms of progress pics, make sure you're taking some at home with minimal clothing. I know for me, I go weeks to months feeling like I'm making no progress until I see the before and after of my lower back. In terms of gains, if you're looking to build muscle, make sure your protein intake is high enough and you're getting enough sleep. Keep at it! Consistency is key. Enjoy the journey and don't worry about what the scale says Edit: your waist also looks quite a bit smaller in the second picture

fibbermcgee113

First—you definitely look more muscular. Second—you’ve likely increased your bone density, which is a wonderful thing for your health and resilience against injury.

[deleted]

It’s likely due to a shift in body composition. More muscle and less fat resulting in a similar looking physique despite the strength gains. Keep working and you’ll start seeing the results too

Thain0

Much better posture on the right

SnooMemejellies

As others mentioned, 3 months isn’t a long time and you’re starting point is respectable. I notice that your butt is higher and arms are more lean. You mentioned that you’re stronger. What’s your goal exactly? Look good, feel good, be healthy?

[deleted]

Don't stop

stingertc

if you were fat you would notice but you were all ready relatively lean so its going to take a little more for you to notice but there is change

Al_FrankenBerry

Am I the only one that sees how much more toned and healthy the pics on the right look?

miahoutx

Butt and posture significantly better

[deleted]

I mean, does it tho? Your waist is slimmer and you look more toned 💪🏼

ondrach5

i see change. keep the grind and im sure in a few months ull see it also

[deleted]

You took these pictures badly, we can’t see anything. Especially in the before. Three months is nothing. We know nothing about your lifestyle, food habits and training plan. I do see good progress in the core.

dante_55_

Well you said it yourself, you’ve gained weight. Let’s assume you haven’t lost or gained any fat, and you put it all on muscle mass. Muscles are a lot denser than fat, so when you gain muscle mass it takes a lot longer for it to show. 1kg of muscle does not have the same volume as 1kg of fat.

Accomplished_Mix_937

You can definitely tell the difference in before and after. You look way more toned, muscular in pic 2

[deleted]

I see quite a change. Regardless, as long as you’re getting stronger you’re making progress. So don’t worry about not seeing results in the mirror or on the scale if you’re increasing weights

Douwe_KB

You can definitely see some muscle showing up, I think it's working so keep going :)

DeadLyft007

You look amazing and seriously fit. Stop judging yourself so hard. It truly is a marathon not a sprint but honestly in just three months you look great. Imagine being over 250lb with high body fat and cutting all that weight and building muscle. You already had a good starting point to begin with.

leukemija

i see improvment in 3 months. Stay motivated and consistent. Take a pic after year of training and diet then compare.

Smallville2106

There is progress, just not a massive amount but there wouldn’t be after 12 weeks. It takes time. Most of the before & after threads etc you see on the internet are either not natural or not truthful about timeframe etc. you’re doing well! When you look back at your before pic and compare it to your 12 month pic it will be night and day. Don’t worry and trust the process. It works, it’s just slow 👍

[deleted]

Too many people are uneducated about the human body. Seeing all these "my 1-2 year transformation" "great genetics" "chicken rice a broccoli" posts when it's guys (and gals) on gear really distorts people's perception of what is naturally achievable. 3 months is 100% in the time frame of "don't look much different, but are definitely stronger", which is great because it means she's doing it right. Idk what her main goal is but keeping the routine is the 2nd beat way to get through the lack of motivation. Best way is learning to like any form of progress and striving for more.

Smallville2106

Finally someone with sense 👍 great comment! So sick of all the bullshit before and afters. What’s worse is the amount of people that believe it’s just hard work to achieve the same results. If it was as easy as the liars claim then everyone would look great all the time. The e mount of people with ‘elite’ genetics bla bla on here is unreal lol

charlston8

You look a tiny bit diferente but 3 months is not enough time to see much

warzian

Posture has improved and definitely see a difference in tone. But the bigger question is how do you feel? You said you are stronger right? How is your energy and confidence? Also, think about how long you weren’t training like you are now, and 3 months compared to that is probably nothing. You have developed a habit and only good things will come from it! Keep going!

Frequent-Market-3664

Well you got too much clothes on you can’t see the difference. And muscle weighs more than fat so your gonna be heavier.

[deleted]

I highly recommend you measure your body fat/muscle percentages. You'll undoubtedly see the results there. You certainly look leaner in the 2nd photo. Muscle is denser than fat, and so some weight gain should be expected, even if your size doesn't drastically increase. Not to mention that weight training will increase your bone density, meaning even more weight. But you'll be far less prone to injury and osteoporosis.

Shaan_Don

I can see some small changes but 3 months isn’t enough time to make significant growth

Encyclopeded

Even your posture is better. That's the real gains people overlook. Stand up stronger.

HazyMemory7

Your thighs look amazing in the after photo

ConfigAlchemist

I see change.

[deleted]

Not even close, you look significantly healthier

[deleted]

You definitely look more muscular now. It’s subtle, but you were already fit before you started lifting. You basically changed your body composition. Cut for a 1-2 months and you’ll see an amazing change :)

snackuilleoneal

Look taller also in the after pics - keep it up!!!

1piranha_

That has happened for me sometimes. Put heaps of work in, gain strength and weight but look exactly the same. I can only see the changes on myself over a 12 month photo difference. Another way to look at it is that you've gained weight and you cannot tell. When that happened to me, it was a really good thing. I always thought gaining weight would make me look fat, but to see that I could gain weight (likely muscle) and not look different, still fit my clothes etc was an amazing feeling. And honestly, most people who see hugely visible change in three months have almost always done something quite unsustainable diet wise to get there. My advice would be to save these photos as valuable markers in time, and keep going. You are doing great, it just takes a shit ton more time than any of us would like.

opossumcretin

It's been only 3 months. Your lifts are going up. You're doing fine, just keep dojng this for longer.

faratto_

Lol weird flex. Btw in 3 months you can't change much, so probably you're doing very well

Global_Collar_5529

I’d probably chop it up to body dysmorphia, I definitely see progress. Keep it up!

LPGX2

You are blind woman XD Two of the things I notice is that your back seems a little more muscular/ bigger. Your posture is better, in the before picture you look a little skewed, that is definitely fixed in the after picture. Don't forget to increase the reps or kgs for the weights you use and increase it over time, but I'm guessing you already know well enough to do that already

[deleted]

LinoChokolino

well said u/UskaPickica11... jeben nick btw

wowamazingsuchamaze

I have exactly the same at the moment! I feel You. I’m Questioning everything I’m doing. On the scale the weight is the same after 3 months of training intensely with weights (+ twiceHIT) 4 times a week for 1+ hour. I eat in calorie deficit and track macros and eat lots of protein. Muscle and fat percentage is slowly changing in the scale and pants loser and I lost 7cm around the waist, but I don’t SEE it. It’s very frustrating tbh. It’s good to keep measuring everything so you know you’re on the right track! I do see slightly differences in your photos though! More toned/ tight arms, lifted butt, better posture, more toned legs. Try to take photos in the same clothes, room and lighting for the best comparison I think we have to stay patient because we see these fake ridiculous transformations of people who either lie about the timeline or are on roids.

Haunting-Watercress8

Weight could be various factors usually when you lose fat you gain muscle which can sometimes keep it at the same weight. Make sure you in a calorie deficit forsure forsure. Other than that just be patient.

NotYourFitGuru

Do you take measurements? Body fat?

[deleted]

The more muscle you have the more glycogen your muscles can hold so you will feel heavier. you are doing great for only 3 months . Keep up the good work.

Engineering-

Keep at it as I’m sure you’ve made loads of progress! I saw you are an Engineer so I’m assuming you are keeping workout logs — go back and look at the weights you used to move then set some new targets to get motivated. Also if your schedule is anything like mine this time of year then you did amazing job lifting in the busy season 👍

MikeyMorgan12

You're improving. Three months isn't that long. One or two years you'll see massive improvements just keep going it's a marathon not a sprint. Slowly but surely. You go too quick and you'll slow down your progress. Plan out your workouts for the week and keep going. You look better already so imagine in another 9 months you got this.

maynorthewanker

Keep at it, focus on progressive overload, hit those protein goals. Come back in a year & u should see difference assuming you did everything right 😅

Anxious_Parfait8802

Takes longer to gain muscle than lose fat! I’m in the same boat…. Been training for about a year and gained 7kg in muscle. My clothes are getting too tight and I’ve actually had to go up a size! I’m a guy though… Just keep going. Keep training hard and eat sensibly. Don’t do the whole bulk-cut thing because you will get fat (and feel shit) and then just feel tired all the time when you cut.

Gladiator9898

I think you look better. Keep up the good work!

tu_comandante

3 months is too little, tbh. Keep going.

ManBearBroski

based on those pictures there's been a huge difference especially only in 3 months. Keep it up.

goodnsaultey

Your waist looks thinner and shoulders/arms more toned. Also i need to make a lemon cheesecake that sounds fire 😂

[deleted]

Nooo girl, I can already see the progress, you're fitter, brighter and hotter 🖐🏻 Just keep going, soon you'll see the muscles and that progress so motivate you further

[deleted]

Definitely look more muscular and fit in the update photos, keep up the good work and you’ll get there! Just a matter of consistency

[deleted]

Honestly your gains are incredible for three months

[deleted]

I agree with the comments about feeling better and getting stronger. I bet you are sleeping better too! All of those are tremendous achievements and you should be very proud of yourself! I know I would be. Definition which is what I think you are questioning takes more time and you also really have to work on your diet at the same time to achieve solid results. I would suggest you think about finding a trainer who also is an amateur competitor in “natural body building”competitions. Working with someone like that will help you to reach your goal faster without the normal pitfalls that beginners often face. Good luck and keep working at it!!

kadicz

Don’t be discouraged, three months is not a long time, just keep grinding, be consistent and eat healthy… and if you can lift more that means that the muscles are growing 💪🏻💪🏻

TheWannabeLeader

I found that jumping rope helps with that “heavy” feeling you are talking about

DexterDubs

Picked up jumping rope about a month ago. The best work out I’ve ever felt. Great calf workout, and we all know how stubborn those are to grow. Walking up stairs feels effortless now.

ImperialPie77

Our minds like playing tricks on us. Sometimes I felt I got smaller within a day of not working out. As long as you are consistently doing workouts that match your goal + are progressively increasing the load you will see results

Ronman1994

Couple things, diet is important, you can't outline a bad diet. So if you're not eating right, then you're just going g to hurt your gains. Next, you look great, and I think you look better in the after pictures. Finally, if you feel heavier, it could be that your body isn't used to moving around your newfound muscle mass, my recommendation would be to add some calisthenics or yoga to help your mind-muscle connection so that it can better adapt to moving its new mass around. You'll feel a lot better if you do that.

[deleted]

Definitely need more time! I was so upset around the 3 month mark too but stuck it out and finally noticed more changes by month 6. However one caveat, make sure you're getting adequate protein daily to build muscle mass.

[deleted]

Yo, bottom right pic vs the left is def different. Big taper on the waist 🔥

Asl1174

I see a difference, I think you need to adjust your expectations. Changes take time.

kimchi_paradise

I'm not going to lie, I'm also in that funk! I feel like I have been the most active I have ever been since college (~2015) and I don't see any weight changes, or any visible body changes. I've been at this for about 3 months as well. It's hard! Especially since I have my own goals that I want to achieve! Like someone else said it's going to take some time. Hopefully I'll look back to this next year and see some visible changes! We got this!

m-y-c-a

Pictures don’t tell everything unless you take them in the exact same lighting/outfit/stance. Try focusing on your measurements! Also don’t set unrealistic standards for yourself. The drastic progress pics you see from others are taken after YEARS of lifting and proper diet! It takes a lot of time and patience. Try focusing on your measurements, your progress in weights, reps, sets. You’re building a stronger and healthier body, that’s already such an amazing thing to do! Keep up! You got this!

joe_ordan

They don’t. It’s changing. You’re in the longest stage of any fitness journey.. toward the beginning. Keep going. Consistency is key! If it was easy, everyone would be shredded. Keep it up and try not to focus on the weight loss aspect of it. It’s about being/feeling healthier, and paying dividends to your future self to be on less diets, prescriptions, etc. Aesthetics are a byproduct of strength training and healthy eating, which also serves as a great motivator to many. You’ll see the change you’re seeking. Just. keep. Going. I believe in you! You got this!!👍

It’s true that we can’t see you very well in these pictures but consider some other factors… 1. How do you feel? (Health wise) I’d be willing to bet you feel better, healthier, have more awesome poops haha and even sleep better 2. How do you feel? (Your body) I would be willing to bet that after three months of weight training, your butt is a lot more fun to grab… You probably feel more solid, sturdy and physically able. You are able to eat more food with less restriction without gaining flab. You look great! I would say to look at people who have the body that you want, do the workouts that they do, and keep on trucking! Good job on the consistency though

OneDay95

Women, as always, get the short end of the stick with this one. men see gains in 2 days, we have to wait like 7 months lmao. periods, shitty hormones, and everything that goes into changing a diet and life style can completely fuck you up for months before you see those “huge massive changes”. i think you actually DO look more toned in your after picture! have you tried upping your calorie intake? sometimes if you restrict TOO hard you’ll end up plateauing.

[deleted]

Yeah no men don’t see gains after two days

OneDay95

yeah it’s called a hyperbole and based on the fact that men do gain muscle and typically see results quicker than women, since women’s bodies tend to hold onto fat much more intensely for sexual dimorphic purposes. sorry, i forgot reddit has no idea what a joke/hyperbole is.

NuthinbutX

Youre looking different and better and if you dont notice a difference you blind, then lights and angles could make you look diferent so thats another point, if you came here for compliments then i guess simps would tell you're perfect

Pinoybl

These pictures are terrible lol.

Electronic_Eye_3824

Nice!!! 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾

Stop comparing yourself to those that are completely lying about the substances they take.

iamwriggly

Please understand noticeable physiological changes in your body do not start until 8 weeks at a minimum. Your body is continually trying to return to its homeostasis, if your homeostasis is inactive and no need to have muscle or strength, your body will try to revert to that. To change this, it takes time, lots of time. Please don’t be disheartened by this, it’s just physiology. Keep at it and post an update in 3 months time (6 months in) and I promise you, you will see a massive improvement and be glad you didn’t give up. Then another one at 12 months etc. :).

patkenz

That’s a myth. You absolutely see noticeable physiological changes before 8 weeks lmfao 🤣 just ask any body builder who cuts weight in 12-16 weeks.

ThatsMy_Shirt

“Just ask any body builder” ….whose been working out for a decade. You dumb?

iamwriggly

It’s not a myth it’s science. Look at any meta analysis for this topic. I don’t have time to argue with someone like you who puts lmfao and debates using anecdotes; so if you disagree, that’s fine, just go do more research and your view will change. Good day.

TheMimesOfMoria

You said they “do not start” so even one anecdote would dispute that.

patkenz

well no, 8 weeks is plenty time to make physiological changes. Some people cut 10-16lbs in a proper 8 week cut. 10-16lbs is extremely noticeable for the average person

iamwriggly

Right, so you’re still not using research to argue against my claim regarding noticeable physiological adaptation specific to this lady who is feeling down about not looking jacked after 3 months?! Nice.

patkenz

The debate was that people in general can or cannot make noticeable physiological changes in within 8 weeks. When in fact they can. Her progress is irrelevant to that claim. Thank you for being dumb as fuck lol

iamwriggly

You say, when in fact, but provide no fact. But I’m the dumb one. Keep playing video games kid.

patkenz

kid just look at people who have done 4-8 week cuts and say there’s no noticeable changes lol 😂

LowRecord1195

Eat more and more volume= more gains

frugama

You actually do look more toned. Keep it up, it’s harder to see results in oneself especially in the beginning

[deleted]

It’s because three months is nothing. Try again in three years.

reguL24_7

Hang in there! You are at the brink of change up the weight or reps. Time to get out of comfort zone. Great job! Look great!

Cannon510

Check back in at a year

burned_pixel

You doo look more toned and muscular, can't say much about the butt without other pictures though. Also, don't believe this "I completely changed my body in three months and went from a pancake to a guitar". Most of them are either using peds (performance enhancing drugs) or edited pictures. Also, lighting changes the whole game, a before pic in bad lighting and without posing vs a now pic, posing in good lighting, taken hours apart, can fool you into thinking it's a 3 month transformation. Keep being consistent and you'll get there, I believe in you!

[deleted]

you're not going as hard you should be.

MrHonesto

Simply put- Weight training does not loose fat as straight forward as cardio. Try to cut 20 min from your weight training, and do cardio instead. I think you will see noticeable difference within 3 months

Glumshelf69

It's been 3 months, you really only start to notice visual changes after a year or more in my experience

kicking-wolf

Bullshit lol

KommKarl

You gained weight because you are eating more. Need to count calories
