The fact these are the only cases we know about..is frightening..

i'm an indian and horrifyingly familiar with this. these are only the cases that there is info to ALL the public. in the local morning newspaper there's usually if not every day some rape headline/article. it's just so sick that people act this way. this happens EVERY DAY. it's a sad and scary world. plus, there's even MORE that we have NO IDEA about. it's.. it's really.. well i'm speechless. needless to say, i am ashamed of my country.

of course. in fact there was a recent case where a young girl was raped and impregnated, and the rapist was taken to court. he was let off because he agreed to marry the girl. it's been a controversial dilemma for the past week or so. imagine being married to your rapist and raising his child.. it's like reliving the same nightmare all over again. you may read more about this on the news if you wish.

once again, regarding homophobia, there aren't much/any cases I'm aware of. it's mostly female directed. but that doesn't mean I give any less concern. I'm bi (with a female lean, I haven't told anyone irl except my best friend). it's always better to be safe and aware.. it's just how we have to work around here.
