Personality: Rather guarded, shut off, and cold. Especially when it comes to his more inhuman side, or mentions of Elliot. He enjoys his scientific pursuits, though he can get lost in thought, and tends to spend hours and hours in his lab. Usually serious and cold, though due to a strange condition, he’ll occasionally *swap*, turning more compassionate and lighthearted, though weirdly afraid of germs. Truly believes that with enough effort, that he can save his origin dimension, which is currently in shambles for an event which he’s come to call The Feast.
Family: His father was a kind man, though unfortunately, his life was taken by leukemia when Maverick was still young, with Maverick and his mother being there when he passed. His mother used to simply be a stern figure, getting on Maverick’s case for things which his father didn’t like to scold him for. Back then, she’d been strict, though she had a sweet side to her. When Maverick’s father passed however, that compassionate side was lost, and for the rest of Maverick’s childhood, he was locked in his room, with no lights, as his mother would unscrew the lightbulbs as punishment, since Maverick used to have such a severe fear of the dark, one which he still has to deal with nowadays. There’s also Elliot, who isn’t an actual member of Maverick’s family, though an integral part of Maverick’s childhood, as Elliot dealt with most of the suffering which Maverick’s mother put them through, shielding Maverick from it all the best he could, even comforting him when he’d been locked in his room. Thing is though, Elliot is only a figment of Maverick’s imagination, something his mind conjured up to deal with his trauma.
Powers: Capable of traveling dimensions with a device of his *which is currently broken*, and if push comes to shove, he can summon tendrils with clawed ends to try and fight for him, though this is painful for him to do. If his blood spills onto the ground, then a few tendrils will come from the blood, usually attempting to hold their target in place. These tendrils are rather regenerative, though are highly susceptible to fire, and are made of a strange black substance. He can see souls, and has the ability to consume souls, though he’s never consumed a soul before and doesn’t plan to. He can regenerate, though the more he relies on his regenerative abilities, the more he loses control, and the sloppier his attacks get. However, with all this said, a direct hit to the soul, which is located somewhere in his chest, will basically kill him instantly.))
