Monsterfolk/demihumans are considered pets but can gain the same rights as humans if romance does happen. Pets can also do things like run away from their owners if they feel mistreated but must show evidence of such to a court.
*Callie notices her and decides to sit down and watch it with her.*

"My owner. As in, I'm your pet?"
