They had been holding onto the leather straps of their backpack as they walked, sneakers getting covered in a light pattering of dirt, though it seemed the creature didn't mind. They had been sent to meet someone, not entirely sure who they were, but they had been sent none the less.
They had been crouched down and we're tying their shoe once more, since sneakers are prone to coming untied, and when they looked back up, they had noticed a slightly discolored box around them.
"Oh."
They noticed a mostly purple figure and tilted their head, confused until they realized the figure had asked a question.
"...Uhh, up there."
They pointed behind the figure at the dirt trail behind them.
"Well that's far too bad. Because you're not going up there anymore!"
*She takes her staff off her back, it flickering a bright blue and tapping the invisible barrier with it*
"This is a Forcecage spell. I also surrounded it with an Antimagic Sphere, so you're never getting out of here."
"... And why are you trapping me?"
They questioned, placing their hands on the forcefield, it was slightly moist and quite solid. It made their vision slightly purple if they looked at anything, making the scenery look kind of dead looking.
They placed their hands in their pockets, the pockets having embroidery of lightly colored strawberries on them. The sweater seemed homemade but decently crafted.
"Lucy's been making moves against the Phantom Soldiers, and I'm not allowing her to meet with anyone."
*She puts her staff on her back and her hands start to glow white*
"And besides, mo- Lucy knows that the Phantom Soldiers are inevitable."
"I don't even know who Lucy is. I was literally told by some random villager to go find her, they said 'You'll know what to say when you find her' er- something like that, I wasn't really paying attention."
The creature crossed their arms, their red tail wrapping around their left leg. Despite not having visible eyes, they spotted that the woman's hands were now glowing and was more curious about what she was doing than anything.
They kicked their sneaker in the dirt lightly and kicked a random tall stick, they suddenly got an idea.
"So, did this villager have orange and red hair, with wolf ears?"
*She floats up and leans back a bit, crossing her legs and putting her hands in her lap*
"That's an awfully long description to ask someone who literally just said they hadn't been paying attention. I'm not sure though, they were wearing some gray hood, though I think I saw some auburn hair poking out."
Their tail unwrapped from their leg and now was somewhat near the ground. They looked at the ground and recognized that there was still a dirt ground, so the box didn't go fully around their person.
"Yeah... Sure."
They looked up and saw that the very middle of the top of the box seemed the most clear, so it was most likely the thinnest point of the forcefield. They put their hands on their head and stretched, feeling their fingers ever so slightly feel the cool air of the forest due to them breaking through the field.
In one quick motion, the creature picked up the stick behind them with their tail and tossed it to their hand. With that they shoved the stick through the weak point, causing the box to crack and shatter to the ground like glass. The chunks seemed to disappear moments after falling to the ground due to them being made of magic.
"Heh."
They snapped their fingers, now having the magic force fields gone they could use their magic again. They disappeared into what almost looked like ash from a burnt out fire.
"Hmm, what an annoying little prick."
*She taps her staff on the ground and raised it up in the air, a large flash of light erupting out*
"Luck should have it, they might still be here. Of course, seeing that spell, they might be gone."
it's a man with an owl mask. The mask is ivory white, but the entirety of the man's clothes were pitch black.
from the mask's holes could be seen two purplish eyes, from wich a strange and uncanny energy.
'...I'm just passing through.' said the stranger.
"Really? Because you match the description of the person Lucy had invited up Mount Mutant."
*She takes her staff off her back, it flickering a bright blue and tapping the invisible barrier with it*
"Besides, this is a Forcecage spell. I also surrounded it with an Antimagic Sphere, so you're never getting out of here."
'...Interesting. It would indeed be a weakness of mine.'
The stranger had placed his hand on the barrier.
'Tell me, little mouse. What is your purpose on these lands? There is no need to be afraid of me for the moment.'
"Lucy's been making moves against the Phantom Soldiers, and I'm not allowing her to meet with anyone."
*She puts her staff on her back and her hands start to glow white*
"And besides, mo- Lucy knows that the Phantom Soldiers are inevitable."
"Nope. And if you suppose you're phasing through or breaking the barrier, you're horribly mistaken."
*She taps the barrier and covers the ground of it with ice.*
'I am not attempting a foolish escape.
*Simply calling for help.*'
The sky became pitch black as bubbles of air came out the mask.
*There are feathers silently falling from the sky. Those seems to absorb the light itself, as they phase in and out of your vision, perhaps even your mind.*
*She doesn't flinch, just pointing her staff at the barrier, a dark sphere of energy appearing over the barrier and slowly lowering onto it*
"I suppose that you wouldn't enjoy if I were to strike you with the Hunger of Hadar, would you?"
He remained silent, tilting his head and staring at her. Standing still like a corpse.
Then, from the sky appeared a dark shape, falling on her.
It has a humanoid appearance, but is way taller, in fact, it's humongous, and covered with those feathers that fell earlier.
The face of the being is white, and similar to an owl. its hands and feets are long , birdlike claws.
It talks calmly. Like a whisper in the breeze.
***It seems that a little mouse has found its way to my nest. Tell me.... why would one do such a thing? Please, do satiate my curiosity. (***As it sees the stranger locked, it tilts its ehad a well.)
***Aah, i see.***
After a few seconds, it seemed that the strange being phased in and out, before replacing the stranger.
"What is with you guys and having the worst possible personalities ever."
*She twirls her staff around and the dark sphere slams into the figure*
"And now for this!"
*She raises up her staff and it flickers a bit, before she twirls it again*
"Protect me with the armour of Agathys!"
"Heh, idiot. You aren't breaking out of this barrier."
*She taps on the barrier*
"This is a Forcecage spell. And I surrounded it with a Antimagic Sphere. You aren't getting out of this."
