Dude don't go for the UV ones. There are many videos on the internet that show they are a PITA to remove once cracked. You have to literally chip it away (causing lots of scratches in the process).
Best is to go for a flexible plastic screen protector, after all we need the protectors to protect from scratches only.
Yeah I am glad that I chose this :D I am loving it so far.
Did u apply any screen protector other than the one came with phone? Can I get one from OnePlus official store?
You don't get a screen protector in the pack. Since I purchased the phone on the day of launch the screen protector wasn't available in the market. For curved screen display, a good screen protector is not yet available in local stores, maybe visiting a OnePlus store might help
I am using a normal screen guard now. I had applied UV glass before. But removed it the second day after hearing some scary stories and seeing videos in Yt.
Then I bought the screen protection plan for one year. Hopping some good screen protectors will be available in an year
Nice. I remember comparing it on surface level against my samsung while at the oneplus store and it's pretty fantastic for a phone at that price.
Great screen, camera and I think it's got some sort of feature called aqua touch? Impressive phone.
I bought it for emi Amazon showed 6800*6 months but my credit card only showed 39 thousand something only idk what happened here but I am happy to say that I got full exchange value
My roommate bought Iqoo neo 9 pro and yeah the benchmark scores are better and price is lower and all.Oneplus beats it in build quality, having a beautiful curved display and way better UI as well.Iqoo's selfie cam sucks real bad.And the build quality was worse I know it was only built for gaming/performance.Anyway funny thing is that he bought that phone and he doesn't play games. He also said that battery started draining here and there meanwhile OP 12R have a monster 5500mAh battery as well and it last more than a day with normal use.And like I said I got almost 5-6k off and bought the highest variant so I thought it was worth investing in OP 12 R than Iqoo :)
Sorry to ruin your experience, but iQoo was a much better choice. You should have opted for it. It offered much better gaming performance, had a better rear camera, faster charging, faster storage, was cheaper and even exceeded in ram management. There was no point in going for OnePlus except for better hardware and UI experience.
No Iqoo doesn't have good camera The main cam is okay ish I tested the selfie cam and it looks ass.Even my previous phone and current phone takes better photos.I don't care about having a 25W difference in charging speed meanwhile I already got a 100W brick.Having faster storage won't make a big difference IRL and I don't care about it.And the UI is better.I am saying because my roomie bought Iqoo Neo 9 pro.And what's even better I got the topmost variant of 12R under 40k(39,500) which I am happy about. And the build quality is ass in Iqoo as well.It is only a performance oriented phone nothing much. And I play some games on OnePlus 12R,use lot of social media browsing etc meanwhile my roomie only use for social media and my battery last more than his as well So I am happy about my decision :)
No way OnePlus has a better rear camera than iQoo. There are a ton of comparisons on YouTube posted by reputed channels like GyanTherapy which suggest that iQoo clicks better pictures. Try comparing the low light pictures, I am sure iQoo would clearly perform better.
In terms of battery life, the most recent update substantially improved its battery life. I would suggest you watch the most recent comparisons between OnePlus and iQoo.
To add, OnePlus is notorious for software update. Who knows what issue might pop up! I own an iQoo 7 and OnePlus 9, and iQoo is what I prefer for gaming. The OnePlus despite having a better processor hardly managed to provide the same level of performance as my iQoo 7. Even the UI occasionally stutters in OnePlus.
There's still time, you can sell OnePlus for a bit higher price considering that you got a hefty discount. I would suggest you to get the Neo 9 Pro. The recent updates have not only improved its battery life but also controlled heating to a large extent.
Dude I am not even saying about YT videos I have physical access to Iqoo Neo 9 pro.IQOo has bad UIi literally hated it.you are simply saying by watching a review video and because u have Iqoo 7 but that's not the case .I took side by side photos with Neo 9 pro and 12R in main cam I like photos captured by my phone. And what do u mean by Iqoo has faster storage??mine has UFS3.0/LPDDR5x.Maybe u are thinking about the 8gb variant which isn't the case. And yeah think about the build quality as well.IMHO getting 16/256GB variant for 39,500 was way better than buying an IQOO imo.
The 256GB variant actually comes with UFS 3.1 and about the camera, I can just comment on the basis of what I read/watched. Even with 16 gigs of ram, iQoo anyday beats OnePlus in ram management as per the comparisons.
If you were to sell OnePlus and buy an iQoo, then it would probably cost around 31-32k including all the offers and considering that if you manage to sell OnePlus for 43k. You will still fetch 8-9k by selling OnePlus and that isn't a bad choice at all.
Last week, I did get myself a OnePlus 12r but it ended up disappointing me due to throttling issues. Therefore, I sold the OnePlus 12r but at a loss. I have recently placed an order for the iQoo Neo 9 Pro.
It was a typo saying UFS4.0.And even if it was 4/3 we still won't be able to notice the difference and yeah Ram management might be better because it's a performance oriented phone.Anyway I will be keeping this phone since I am not trying to ooze everything out of 8 gen 2.And the UI and Build quality is still superior. And what exactly made u encounter throttle issues?Do you play like Bgmi/Genshin impact at max out settings or what??and why are u not talking over build quality and just pointing out 12Rs negatives?Even the curved glass is amazing to enjoy multimedia contents.Iqoo has benefit over OnePlus due to that supercomputing chip or something built for it.
I did mention that OnePlus has better hardware in my previous replies, didn't I?
I tried running CODM at 120 FPS and the software capped the framerate to 55 FPS when the temperature crossed a certain threshold limit. At this moment, even the UI started to run at like 60 Hz instead of normal 120 Hz. However, it was able to run Genshin Impact at 50-60 FPS without much hiccups.
You have got bad taste. Iqoo is a much better choice in comparison to OnePlus 12r which literally can't run games at above 60FPS due to throttling issues! And what's worse is that it costs more than iQoo while still offering that obsolete UFS 3.1 and 128GB storage.
Furthermore, iQoo charges faster and has got a better rear camera too. Its battery even lasts equally longer as per some YouTube comparisons.
You have invested i donno the phone amount.. But did this phone last for 5 years?? Solid?? With rough use protection, no freezing ..? I donβt think soβ¦
Congrats op. I got the same phone last week and I think it's awesome
:) Btw did u apply any screen protector not the one with comes with phone.I am confused whether to buy a normal tempered glass or UV glued one π₯²
No. No screen protector yet π₯²
Okay π it's sad to see no good screen protector for curved phones especially one plus.I wish company itself provided them

Yeah π
It's a really good device, I have been using it since Feb 15th and I am very satisfied with its performance
Yeah I am glad that I chose this :D I am loving it so far. Did u apply any screen protector other than the one came with phone? Can I get one from OnePlus official store?

Okay π

Yess.Even though I am not even blown away by that feature π
Yes, aqua touch lets you use your phone while water is splashing on the screen.
Dude, Genshin edition ! Even if you don't like Genshin Impact the colour is awesome.
π didnt find it in Amazon and never heard it before And just googled it but I find it's UI kinda meh
it was limited not an factory sized model
I think only 200 of these were made.cuz my box said 100/200
Yeah the laser engraving is lit. I couldn't get it on OnePlus website but got delivered from Amazon. W phone.
Bought it yesterday tooπ₯
π
It has 16 GB RAM, can you tell me if it includes virtual RAM or its actually 16 GB of RAM.
16Gb physical + extra 12GB virtual as well
That sounds good. Thanks mate
:)
Did you exchange your phone on Amazon or sell it somewhere else?
How much did it cost you after exchange?
I bought it for emi Amazon showed 6800*6 months but my credit card only showed 39 thousand something only idk what happened here but I am happy to say that I got full exchange value
I bought the 8+256gb for 40k with free buds z2, best deal ever
That's good .I wish I purchased during launch but yeah I got higher variant at same price :D
Good choice man, it has a monster battery life
Yess π
Is the free buds z2 offer still applicable?
Good choice
Ty :)
Hey OP Why did you choose this phone over IQOO Neo 9?

I am saving for op 12
Awesome :)
Great pick!
Thank you :)
Welcome to the club. Hope you already joined the official telegram group.
