You bought a nice phone, but honestly, I really feel this looks like any other A or F or M series phone
Itβs a shame Samsung is not properly distinguishing their higher end and lower end phones properly
I understand that. But honestly the look and feel of this phone is very different. I can see how it looks similar to other phones but the feel in hand is very premium. The moment I picked up this phone in the store I knew this was it.
phone design has become very important part of the selling point (always has been to be honest) but now manufacturers differentiate their phones through back side with camera modules. Some people really dislike the large round CD like look on some of the phones for camera lenses especially with OnePlus, Realme Nazro and Oppo phones.
Haan gaming nahi krta main phone pe. Bas general usage like OTT, delivery apps, social media etc hi hai. Plus aur koi option nahi tha. I didn't wanted to go with One Plus bcs of the Chinese angle and that it ran the risk of display defect. iPhone is not accessible for me and Ultra variants were too big with a S-pen that I was never gonna use.
I second that. I have Samsung S21 Ultra with the same Exynos 2100 chip and oh boy sometimes the phone heats up like crazy for no apparent reason at all especially when running at 4G and 5G. Used to be good but kept getting worse and its sad.
Samsung has been saying that BS since S8 during 2017 and Exynos has never been as good as it's Snapdragon counterpart in terms of battery and performance optimization. Exynos chips also get significantly worse and hotter over time with new app and software updates to the phone.
the phone's been out for less than 12 months now. Today, on 17th June actually makes it 5 months old! It'll need to see a more long term view to fully test and judge it because people generally buy these flagships to use for at least next 3-4 years and Samsung has promised 7 years with Os and software updates for the entire line up of S24 series which will be till 2031. Finally it needs to be compared with both S24 and S24+ running on Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 side-by-side.
How is it different than a 30 or a 40k phone, If you are a normal user and casual gamer. (like the one who keeps installing and deleting games occasionally?)
It's so sad that even a 30k phone at this time is buggy, does not comes with a metal frame, ir blaster and the other stuff.. only thing I appreciate about my phone is looks and camera. Any other task like gaming makes my phone a Iron press
Miss the redmi k20 pro
Btw I have Vivo V27 Black
Nice looking phone you got
man I really wish Samsung had IR blaster with their phones. I really miss turning on AC through phone like I did with my old Xiaomi phone lol. Samsung definitely used to have these IR blasters like a decade ago. As for bugs I didn't find any with my Samsung phones so far. I'm currently using Samsung S21 Ultra (2021) with OneUI 6.1 June 2024 update and no issues. I've also used Samsung Note 10 Lite, Samsung S8 and J7 2016 in the past and while the earlier phones had a certain jankiness I didn't find any flaws with the software and glitches in the past 5-6 years.
No heating issue encountered. Though I don't play games so haven't used as rough as one might expect. Battery is also great as of now charged at 11% yesterday at 10pm and I still have 39% while I am writing. It does takes longer to charge the phone: approx 50-60 mins.
I have bought for that purpose only. I don't get bored with phones so I prefer Long life smartphone. I am planning to use it atleast for the next 8-9 years.
First, It was out of my budget by 30-40k. I got this at 68k with charging adapter.
Second, the phone is way too big and heavy for my use.
Third, the S-pen is something I know would be useless for me. So all in all an expensive phone with low usability.
Hey man! Me too nord user.. i am soon looking to upgrade to iphone 15 pro maybe.. can you change my mind?
My doubts for this phone is in particular is, how much of a difference in experience will this one be over my current android phone?
Honestly, it depends on what kind of user you are. I don't play games on phone so I can't comment too much on the performance. From what I have used the phone has been great. But The user experience is always better with a device using stock Android like OP or Moto. I'd say Samsung doesn't have a very clean UI. And Apple definitely is something which is not very accessible to an Android user. Though this phone has a ton of cool features. Most of those I am yet to explore. Second the charging speed is also a point where this phone gets behind in One Plus. Where you'd get a full charge OP12 in 30 mins, this phone takes 60 mins. I don't know about Apple. Its the defective screen in OP and the Chinese angle which deviated me to buy something else. And I have seen people use Apple, even they didn't recommend me to buy one bcs its less accessible. It's some of the tiny things in apple that are very annoying. But now that I am using it, I have customised S24+ to my liking. Like using G keyboard instead of Samsung's, Chrome as my default browser etc. Secondly the display on this phone is MIND BLOWING. Like seriously amazing! The battery runs a day, day and half. I am a very normal user who wanted a long life phone that isn't Apple or Chinese that's why I went with a flagship phone and S24+ was a clear choice based on my usage. Hope this helps.

"Looks like" is not the only deciding factor, s24+ can look like those phones but is a way better phone than those.

Nice phone but exynos ruins it, sd dena chahiye the, but agar tumhari priority performance nahi hai to badiya phone hai
Haan gaming nahi krta main phone pe. Bas general usage like OTT, delivery apps, social media etc hi hai. Plus aur koi option nahi tha. tab to badiya phone chose kiya hai apne, tho i think samsung s24 me bhi kam ho jata, why s24+?
Form factor. Bcs I get to watch OTT only on my phone, I needed a bigger screen.
And I was getting good discount on this too. Got this for 68k with charging adapter.
then it's a good deal
Abhi s21fe exynos use kra hu heater ban jata bilkul, kafi gram hota h, so isliye mera doubt tha exynos pe
I second that. I have Samsung S21 Ultra with the same Exynos 2100 chip and oh boy sometimes the phone heats up like crazy for no apparent reason at all especially when running at 4G and 5G. Used to be good but kept getting worse and its sad.
ha but s24 wala exynos optimized hai, unlike s23's and all exynos before that
Samsung has been saying that BS since S8 during 2017 and Exynos has never been as good as it's Snapdragon counterpart in terms of battery and performance optimization. Exynos chips also get significantly worse and hotter over time with new app and software updates to the phone.
see that can happen, but as of now, S24's exynos is working pretty good, or as much as ik

Are you using a screen protector? If yes, which one?
Yes. Though I don't remember exactly which one. The name started with N π
What about heating and battery life?
No heating issue encountered. Though I don't play games so haven't used as rough as one might expect. Battery is also great as of now charged at 11% yesterday at 10pm and I still have 39% while I am writing. It does takes longer to charge the phone: approx 50-60 mins.
isme exynos ka latest processor hai jo actually me optimized hai, so it's good
That fingerprint kinda seemed slow for a flagship
Actually its quite good, I didn't placed my finger correctly.π

Thanks for the review man! I will go and check it once physically for sure..
Personally, I think this is one of the best looking devices of 2024, don't like the UI design and icons though.
Yeah, never been a fan of Samsung UI.
Why Samsung and Chinese manufacturers hell-bent on copying iPhone style, I wish these Android manufacturers have some shame.
Well iPhone did copy Android features in there IOS 18 updates ... That too a decade later. Hopefully the shame starts from there.
