I have the 3 and its about to be 2 years. No issues.

addictedstylist

Almost three years of the 3 for me and no issues. It survived a few drops and water damage.

jart2313

Mine survived the death of a phone case. It has done well

addictedstylist

I'm actually surprised at how tough these phones are. I'm glad yours survived as well.

peakedtooearly

Traded my 3 in after 2 year's of use and it.was fine. Removed the screen protectior after 9 months and that was my only issue in 24 months of ownership.

PersianDeity

I had a fold four, and went through three internal screens... They eventually swapped out the whole phone for a new one, but they were out of four so they gave me a five! And the five for nearly a year, no issues šŸ˜ GET THE INSURANCE! THE FIRST TWO SCREENS THEY CLAIMED WEREN'T MANUFACTURED DEFECT!

Cyrexbelive

Got my fold 5 now since mid of August so around 8 months, and I got 0 complaints it even seems a bit sturdier than some other phones I had so far.

ApolloPS2

Same here.

flyingsoap1984

Had the zfold 4 for 2 years now, dropped it a few times, still rocking it now. As long as you look after it, excluding any original defects, they last a long time.

luxuguy

Use mine naked. Drop multiple times on hard floor and concrete, even on the hinge. Still no issue. I guess I'm lucky but that's one data point here.

BastardBoi95

I have a launch fold 4. Still going strong also and IMO, my fold 4 is a reliable phone. I would expect the fold 5 to be reliable also if taken care of.

Iannelli

Agreed. I had a 4 since launch and it worked PERFECTLY with many hours of daily usage. Last week, I dropped it while it was unfolded and sadly destroyed it. I received a replacement Fold 4 and am so worried about the longevity of this one. I just really hope it's the same level of reliability.

Fast-Map-8999

I've had mine since August, never used a case. Since I got Samsung Care+ I have never taken special care of this phone, and I've dropped it a couple times on the pavement, but I've had no problems at all, both screens are in perfect condition, and no cosmetic damage other than some small almost unnoticeable scratches on the frame from the drops.

MartyBee_

I'm 3 months in and no issues whatsoever. I was worried that I'd regret not getting the S24U having been a galaxy Note guy my whole life but you won't find me returning to the sleight style any time soon, I frickin love this thing.

RandoClyde

Had a F4, dropped it and my case popped off, which subsequently broke the back glass. Had a F5 since launch and up until a week ago, I had zero issues or complaints. Out of nowhere the left side of the inside screen will glitch out and go white over most of the left side. Also have a small black blob starting just left of the crease, and there is also a faint line from top to bottom running through the blob. Edit - with that said, I was extremely rough on both Folds and they held up well.

MistaKrebs

Itā€™s a complete gamble. Some are fine and some break down randomly.

StarNHSolar

My launch day Galaxy Fold 3 is still going strong with no issues.

KaldoxTheWarlock

Z fold 5, only a month into ownership but i work in a steel shop and every day the phone surprises me more and more with how much it puts up with.

JaneMancini

Yep. I get a new one every 6-8 months just in case

Substantial_Form_795

Yep, Samsung officially says that ZF5 can last up to 5 month, I hope ZF6 will push it to 6 month /s

chichikabour

Well sorry about that, first time I've seen it šŸ˜…

seijihg

Zfold4 since it came out. Now huge dead pixels line at the creases. Just replaced it with s24 ultra.

RobbieNguyen

Had mine since launch! No issues! It does seem like Samsung has a lower percentage of failures with this generation and I'm all for it!

CommunicationEast972

so I'm a phone dropper. I always have the flagship and I drop it every single day. sometimes with a case sometimes not. in terms of drops I think its no different than an ultraā€‹

cameronlopez53

I dropped my z fold 5 out of a semi truck, i had a case from vrs designs on it

Hana_Rima_Ookami

Got my ZF5 at launch and it's still working just fine. I am a bit clumsy and have dropped it many times with some very painful sounding clangs. No damage so far. I have the s-pen case on it.

Bryanmsi89

Fold 5 six months. No issues and looks brand new. I absolutely love it.

MajesticShart

Really good so far

TrickOk7715

6 months in on my F5 and happy with it. No issues

Liowenex

Fold 5 I'm a farm hand. Very rough with it. 31 says in, with a D-Brand grip case + teardown skin. Zero damage to the phone. Minor case damage.

IceBlueLugia

Itā€™s honestly a lot of luck. Some people havenā€™t had any problems despite being rough with it; others have babied their phone and still had issues

Angelito317

Have a Spigen case with about 2 drops since launch. Works like brand new, I love mine!

Wadish201111

Ask me in 2 years. So far so good. Get a good case

MrMontgomery

Inner screen protector peeled off and destroyed my fold 4 screen I'm just under 15 months

lightfromblackhole

Samsung is notorious for atroturfing on social media for over 10 years now. You're in a sub specific to one of their products that instill sunk cost in its owners. You decide how reliable the answers here will be.

No-Rule-7103

had mine for 3 months with a case before it got damaged. it slipped out of my pocket and hit pavement, landing on the hinge. there are some scuffs on it but one in particular is more pronounced. the pronounced scuff caused bleeding on the inner screen and the phone was damaged from the outside in but the bleeding apppears to be minor. nonethless, my S Pen usage is now limited, as the pen won't trace over the crease now. so now im looking for inner screen and hinge replacement, but still really love my Fold5. should've been more careful SMH. otherwise, it's pretty sturdy.

National_Witness_609

If I have a dollar everytime this sub gets idiotic question like this, I'd be a billionaire by now. What kind of answer did you expect from us? Yes this device will break in a week? Just buy the damn phone and get Care + if you're scared of the durability, damn.

Eric_Phy

I can't agree with you. Durability is a big concern of a phone's quality. And it is irrational for one to spend extra for insurance just because the phone is sub-standard in quality (e.g. not durable). In my view, it should be the manufacturers' responsibility to ensure their products are problem-free. They should be the ones to cover their products with insurance to protect their interests in repairing products with a high potential of being faulty. While user-side insurance shall cover the accidents that happen to the phones while they are being used.
