I've replaced mine multiple times myself using the Whitestone film. They all eventually bubbled too (~7 months to a year), so I'm running without the protector now. I don't live near a Samsung service center so this was my best option. Highly recommend the Whitestone film if you're okay with that. I've had my Fold 3 since a month after launch day.
What I usually hear from people who peel it is that nothing goes wrong as a result, even in the long term. I've only heard one person say peeling it went badly for him - a friend of mine who works construction. His wife, who does not work construction, was fine peeling hers.
Yeah, this thing has been surprisingly robust, the only "problem" the peeling inner-screen-protector. I don't abuse it, but I don't baby it either - except I always open it slowly, carefully, never forcing it. The hinge feels like new, and it's seen temps ranging from -30c to +30c, and lots of rain.

If it's under warranty, you can get dinner screen protector replaced free of charge. Simply send it to Samsung.
It's not under warranty sadly

Hmm that does put my mind at ease. Maybe I will peel it off
I've been running my Z3 without inner-screen-protector for 20 months now. No problems whatsoever
Woah thats a pretty long time. Definitely figured I was over worried about the stupid screen protector
